Sent mails in ios7 are disappearing.

Sent mails in IOS7 on iphone are dissapearing. Anyone have a solution?

I have the same issue, but with my Ipad. Just worked on emails for 2 hrs and cannot find them in outbox, sent items, drafts, or in my inbox (i cc't myself in one). The account does work from from my laptop (not apple), but it just lets emails sent from my ipad disappear.
What's this about..? Can't we trust emailing with Ipad anymore, or is it just too early in the morning and I lost my emailing skills?

  • Sent mails from CRM are not reaching to destination..

    Hi experts, good afternoon.
I have configured an action to trigger an email when the document is saved.  But the problem is action is shown as executed in transaction level, even in SCOT it is showing as completed but in SOST sent mails it is not shown and it is not reaching to my mail inbox also.
Please help me out in this regard.  Please let me know what could be the problem.
    Regards
    Madhav

    Hi Maddy,
I am facing the same issue. I was not able to see any of my entries in SOST. I went to the tab 'send status' in SOST and and clicked on the button 'Further' and selected 'Still Not Entered in Queue'. Now I can see it in SOST with status 'Still no entry in queue'.
Are you also facing the same problem? When you find the solution, please let me know.
    Regards,

  • Sent mails (through Exchange) are not saved anywhere

Apple's Mail sends the mails normally but no sign of these mails can be found afterwards. Normally they would go to the Sent-mailbox. This behaviour started after the change to  Mavericks.  This problem occurs only when the mail server is Exchange.

I installed Mavericks and I am seeing similar problems with Exchange Mail, although after reading this post I just tested the Sent-Mail Issue, I thought I had the same problem, but noticed after I click Mailbox Synchronize the outgoing messages appeared in the Sent Folder.  I don't recall having to do this before, maybe it is a preference setting?
The problem I am getting though is a stability one using Mail/Exchange- I send an email using Mail/Exchange and sometimes get a message say "failed to connct to server", I hit Re-Try and it sends on the second time.   This is definitley an issue that only started after loading Mavericks.

  • Sent mail. Some are there. Some are not. Some have content. Some do not.

    This is getting so frustrating.
I finally got Mail setup so that I am able to send and receive fine with all my accounts. So a little while ago I went to look for an email I sent to someone last month. There it is in my list of emails in my Sent folder, but when I select it, there is nothing in the message pane. Upon further investigation, all my Sent emails are empty from the point at which I re-set up my accounts after troubleshooting with a specialist at Apple.
So I thought I'd try rebuilding the Sent mailbox, since that seems to be one method of squaring things away. The good news is that now I am able to read the content of all emails in the Sent folder, even going back to 2006. The bad news is that while there were about 3000+ messages in there before the rebuild, there are now 306. I am missing a couple of weeks worth here, an couple of week's worth there, right up to the present. The big jump is from July 9 to Sept 3 of this year, then I'm missing Sept. 4 to Sept. 12.
Any idea how to solve this and recover my older emails? I did make a backup of my Mail folder before I screwed around with trying to "fix" things, but I don't want to risk messing things up even more by just dragging something in.

  • My mails and calendars are disappearing from my iOS devices

    Hi Eveybody,
I hope someone can help me!
I have an iMac 24" from 2008 with 2.8 Ghz Intel Core Duo, Memory 4GB 800MHz DDR2 SDRAM. It is my main desk computer. I have made a mistake by buying and installing Mountain lion. This computer had slown down when moving from Leopard to Lion. I had read that Mountain Lion would solve the problem! So I did it!!! (This is my 1st mistake). Since then I only have problems!!!
    The major ones are:
    1. Slow start up (Grey film with a grey rotating wheel during about 1mn sometimes even more when I use non-Apple softwares such as Skype, Excel and Word)
Once the software is loaded the computer has a "normal behavior" I suspect the iMac CPU to be too slow!
    2. I have additional iOS devices, updated to iOS6: iPhone 4, iPad 2 and my grand daughters have 2 iPods. All these devices + iMac are linked to iCloud. (This is my 2nd mistake!)
I am experiencing very unpleasant phenomenoms: mails disappearance, calendar disappearance...
    - Mails read on my iPhone do not show on my iMac and disappear after a while (1 day?) from the iPhone.
    - When my mails appear on my grand'daughters iPods and if I delete them from these iPods the mails are erased as well from my iMac...
    - I cannot access my music stored in iCloud to play it on any of my Devices!
Beside changing the hardware (iMac, iPhone...) could anyone recommend less expensive solutions to these problems?
    Many thanks
    Alain

do you get your mail on another device which might be deleting them after 3 days. A phone perhaps.

  • Mails from iCloud are disappearing!

Since I updated IOS, my iPhone and iPad are not synchronized with iCloud mail. In fact, each time I try to search new mail, more mails are deleted! My last mail now is from April 2011!!! I also confirmed that all the emails are in iCloud (from my mac). What should I do?

  • Sent mails staying in sending and not going to sent mails

    Hi everybody,
I have the following problem: Sent mails are staying in sending with 100% sent (showing activity, command+0) and not going to sent mails when they are actually sent and arrived to the recipient.
What can I do? Maybe reinstall it? Is there any other solution that might work?
    Thanks, enjoy your day,
    Cédric

    Hello again,
In the screenshot you emailed me, there are files leftover from when this mailbox was used in Jaguar (10.2) or earlier, and also files leftover from when it was used in Panther (10.3.x) and Mail 1.3.x. Specifically all files except the folder Messages (and its contents) are no longer used by Mail -- you can check by using Get Info in them and you will see the dates last modified to all be prior to your upgrade to Tiger. How long ago did you upgrade? Did you find that all mailboxes appeared to have the messages in them that you knew were previously there (at the time of upgrade)? If so, quit Mail and in the Finder remove all files in the Sent Messages.mbox folder except the Messages folder. Then relaunch Mail and immediately use Rebuild.
However, if your Inbox and other mailbox have similar leftover files there might be some impact from that. Check the other mailboxes and let us know. See:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301315
If other xxxx.mbox folders have the Info.plist file, then leave it, and do not delete. If you upgraded recently, and you think messages that you saw immediately after upgrade were not all-inclusive, then post back. However, with this Sent Messages.mbox folder the Messages folder size exceeds the size of the mbox file (where message content was once stored) so it gives the appearance of a good, full, conversion.
If you remove the Leftover files from other mailboxes, I would suggest using Rebuild on each of them, although if they seem fine, otherwise it may not be needed. There is another procedure to force reindexing of all mailboxes (Rebuild freshens the Envelope Index with respect to only the one mailbox) if needed.

  • Local iPhone sent mail disappeared

I have been keeping the draft, trash, and sent mail items generated by the iPhone on the iPhone. That is, I have not been storing them on the .Mac server. So I go to retrieve a message I sent a couple of days ago but find that there are only 25 messages in the Sent mailbox, and no "download 25 more" message at the end of the list. I had a thought and sent myself a test message from the iPhone, and the test appeared at the top of the Sent list and bumped the oldest message...into oblivion? I tried deleting the test to see if the old message would reappear to make an even 25 again, but no luck.
I moved the remaining 24 sent messages to the server and changed the setting so now everything is stored there, but a couple of months worth of sent items are...deleted? hiding on the iPhone? They are not on my Mac or in .Mac anywhere that I can find them. Any ideas? I had never heard of this 25 recent message limit in Sent on the iPhone. Apple phone support was not very supportive.
    Ry

the iPad Mail programme has never been able (not in my opinion is it ever likely) to create folders in Mail - it will replicate what exists on the Mail server, so one creates them there and the iPad and any other devices 'follow' it.
The sent folder has not disappeared on any of my devices so something appears to be in error.
How is the email account set up - POP3 or IMAP ?
Have you tried sending a mail from the iPad and seeing if the folder reappears ?

  • Changing mail server settings (per Verizon's request) caused all sent mail to disappear

Changing incoming mail server per Verizon's 3/7 email caused sent mail folders on iPad and iPhone to go empty. I was able to restore them by restoring my devices from iTunes backups. All sent mail was then restored (even mail sent after the backup date.) If I change the outgoing server, the sent mail files are not affected. Changing the incoming server (from incoming.verizon.net to pop.verizon.net) wipes out the sent mail. Since it is POP/SMTP, there are no other settings I can change on the Apple side. It appears Verizon needs to figure out how to link the old sent mail to the new server ID... Anybody know anything about this?? Thanx.

    Hmeek wrote:
iPhone does not have many settings for POP email clients, which is what Verizon is. The options to set delete behavior and file locations exists only for IMAP mail, and Verizon is POP, not IMAP. And changing the incoming server settings DID cause my sent mail to disappear. It was reproduceable. As said before, it came back when I restored from backup -- even a backup that pre dated many of the sent messages, so they obviously didn't restore from the backup itself. (And Apple confirms that mail is not backed up in an itunes backup). Verizon keeps claiming that sent mails are not stored on their system, but where did they come from when they re-populated?
From your restore most likely.  Its true that smtp email does not get saved on the Verizon (or most other) mail savers.

I can't understand my Icloud mail behavior. All messages I sent are stored in sent box as usual whereas messages I receive are disappearing after short period of time (no more then 2 weeks). Why does it happen?Do I have any chance to restore them?

  • Sent mail just disappearing

I have an intermittent problem that seemed to have started since the upgrade. When I send emails from my iPad, the sent mail never gets sent, doesn't go to outbox, just disappears off the device. This occurs in my .mac account and both my Exchange accounts. I've tried switching the accounts off, and quitting mail from running in the background, but it seems to keep happening.
It's not consistent - not every mail - but often.
    TIA

    Hi...
Since you have a .mac account and Exchange, try resetting sync services.
Follow the instructions at this link: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1627?viewlocale=en_US
Where you see: *Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard*
Also. Your profile: Mac OS X (10.6.2)
If you are still running v10.6.2, you need to update your system software. Click your Apple menu (top left in your screen) then click Software Update...
As with any updates, repair permissions after the updates are installed.
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. If you see any warnings re: SUID messages, they can be safely ignored, information here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1448?viewlocale=en_US

  • Disappearing "Sent" Mail

I'm experiencing the same as you guys who sent emails with or without attachments. They do get sent, but it doesn't register in my Sent Folder. In fact, on a couple of occasions, I've seen it register in the Sent Folder and then it "disappears"! I've been experiencing this from Oct 19 (today is Oct 22).
I see that someone has mentioned that there is a Mail bug that has been around for awhile, but does anyone reckon it might have something to do with the maintenance Mac are doing on Mail (in California)? They claim they notified everyone (only 24 hour before they started), but I see many people around the world were not notified (I am one of those uninformed...I'm in New Zealand).
    Any suggestion, gratefully received.

i know other users have experienced that very same behavior intermittently and randomly.
can you check in mail>preferences>accounts , select your IMAP account, go to the Mailbox Behavior pane and make sure that the option "store sent messages on the server" is checked and that the "delete sent messages when" is set to "never".
i am sure you have done this, so bear with me... make sure you are looking in the right Sent mailbox for that IMAP account, and the right sent emails in Spotlight.
check on the web in your IMAP account, if those sent messages appear in the Sent folder.
finally if the problem persists or becomes more of an issue than currently for you, here is a work around you may want to implement: go to mail>preferences>composing and check the "Automatically cc/bcc myself" option, then create a rule to move all incoming messages with your email address as the sender to the Sent mailbox of the IMAP account. As a result, sometimes you will have two sent messages which may end up filling your Sent mailbox , but other times you will have the one sent email which will become handy if that is critical for you.
and then wait for 10.5.2 and hope that upgrade will solve this bug!
    hope this helps

  • My SENT mailbox is empty on my computer, mail up til yesterday is on mobileme on browser. I used to have 'my .mac account' and 'on my computer' as mailboxes. 'On my computer' has disappeared. HOW can I restore my SENT mail list? tnx

any help or suggestions would be most welcome. The contents of my sent box disappeared once before, but came back after relaunching. Not this time.

I'll try archiving from mobileme mail on browser... I can't open the SENT mailbox on TIme Machine on my computer. [It's not the end of the world to lose my Sent Mail, bcz it is still availble via brwoser, but I prefer to be in charge of my computer, not it in charge of me :-D]

  • Some sent mails do not appear/are not saved in "sent messages" and are lost

i work with mail and 4 different imap accounts. about every 15th sent email "gets lost". i.e. i can follow the sending process in the activity window, and i hear the sending confirmation tone. and, usually, the mails even reach the receiver. BUT, the mails do not appear/are not saved in the "sent messages" folder and are lost. this is very unsettling, as there seems to be no recognizable pattern. can anyone help, or should i change to "entourage"? big thanks for replies

    Hi Bassolino and David,
I, too, have had this intermittent issue and wonder if you had found a solution?
In the past 3 weeks, two messages have been sent from my mac mail account, using the mail application (the only apparent common factor being that both messages had iphoto attachments), the recipients have received them - only I do not have a copy in my 'sent' folder.
They are not stored on the macintosh server either...
I have not altered any settings and this intermittent issue has just emerged.
Any help from 'Top Users' would be welcome. Thanks.

  • Mail.app Sent mail attachments disappear (blue ? block icon instead)

    Hi,
I have been having this problem for some while now. When I look at my sent mail (stored on my mac) attachments randomly are not present and messages only show a blue block icon instead.
This happens with two accounts I have setup, me.com and gmail. Both are setup as imap. It happens with different kinds of files, pdfs, .doc, excel, etc.
I have rebuilt the mailboxes, repaired permissions, etc. but the problem persists.
    Anyone experiencing anything like this?

Sounds to me like a problem on the receiving end, or that the mail server is damaging the e-mail somehow to cause a problem on the receiving end.
When you send rich-text e-mail, it is normal that there will be two copies of the message in the e-mail...  one in HTML form and one in plain text.  The e-mail client is supposed to show the appropriate one, and allow the user to view a different one if desired.  (See the various "... Alternative" choices under Mail's View -> Message submenu.)
One solution would be to send plain text e-mails only.  Mail's rich text e-mails are HTML, and Outlook can't handle HTML e-mail worth a darn.
