Why does the emailed pdf have a detected virus on the pc end? Could it really have a virus? Do I have a virus on my mac? How can I tell?

Where did this PDF file come from? If it was created on your Mac, this is undoubtedly a false positive on the part of the PC anti-virus software. If it came from somewhere else, it could be malicious. Do you know what the exact malware name is that the anti-virus software is identifying that PDF file as?
In any case, though, this isn't being caused by malware on your computer.

Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps.

Accessing a File within a zip, which was archived using Applet Tag

Could Any one please tell me, How to Access a File from within an Applet. The File resides inside a zip which was Archived using <Applet> Tag.
Actually, I want to write an application which runs both online and offline. So I have chosen Applet and All the files Which I need are zipped and is Archived through <Applet ARCHIVE="example.zip">.
Now I want to access those XML files which are inside example.zip from my Applet.
How can I do that?
I think I will get security Exception.
How to get rid of this security Exception.

Did you already try signing a jarfile? If no ->>
You can call a class inside a jar-file within the applet.
if this class should be able to acces files the jarfile
first has to be signed. to do this, you must generate a key.
the complete work:
1. write your applet
2. write a html-page with following code:
<APPLET code="guestbook.class" archive="guestbook.jar" width=600 height=400></APPLET>
3. make a zip-file with the guestbook.class, guestbook.form, guestbook$1.class, guestbook$... and rename it to guestbook.jar
4. in the console type:
keytool -genkey -alias YOURNAME
5. sign the key to your jarfile with:
jarsigner guestbook.jar YOURNAME
6. try the applet. a warning should appear which you have to answer
with YES then it should work
my trouble is that i cant acces files anyway because right now i don�t
alreadv have the clue to get the right (absolute?) path for the file. means i get an ioexception because the applet cant find the file :-((

Well turned out it is secured, but if you can't even highlight points, can you still refer to it as "interactive?"
The problem was that they furnished both a book and a PDF file which are identical and I am unable to understand the point. I would refer to the PDF as "flat" or "static" rather than "interactive." It seems redundant and I find the description misleading. It's also remarkably wasteful.
(Also, visualize the levels of efficiency between 1) scrolling through a PDF, highlighting certain points, and keyboarding comments vs 2) turning pages in a book, picking up a pen to highlight areas, and getting out the pen and paper to handwrite comments.)

You can find your converted Word file stored in your Acrobat.com account at https://cloud.acrobat.com. You can download your file from your account by selecting it and clicking the Download icon. Then, you can open it right up in Word!

There is no cache where the emails would be stored on the iPad, but you could try quitting the mail app and then launch it again and see if the emails return.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Tap the home button. Then try mail again.

If you are trying to restore to an iCloud backup, this has to be done during the initial setup process. If your phone is already set up, you will have to go back to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content & Settings, then go back through the setup screens again and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup (see image below). Be sure your phone is connected to wifi and your charger as this will take some time to complete.
Also, your replacement phone must be running the same iOS version or higher to restore to your backup. If you are running an older version of iOS than the device that was backed up, your backup will not be visible when you choose to restore to your iCloud backup. If this is the case, you'll have to update your replacement phone first.

You need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user. Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his box.com account in for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items > uninstall iWork '09.zip.

I'm trying some very simple Flex Messaging with Flex Builder
2.0.1 and CF8 Standard (with LiveCycle 2.5.? built in)
But I get this error:
"Destination 'ColdFusionGateway' requires FlexClient support
which was introduced in version 2.5. Please recompile the client
application with an updated client framework."
I guess the '2.5' is referring to LiveCycle?
And I guess it's saying that the Flex compiler needs some
updated elements to compile with so it can work with LiveCycle ?
I think stepping into Flex for the first time just as FDS
became LiveCycle was not a good idea.
Strangely I (may have) narrowed it down to the gatewayid tag
in messaging-config.xml
eg:
<gatewayid>*</gatewayid>
OR <gatewayid>Flex2CF2</gatewayid>
Which has been there well before LiveCycle. BUT If I remove
this tag completely the error doesn't occur... then of course
messaging doesn't work without it. Ho hum
I can't see any DataServicesMessaging In/Outs using
cf-polling-amf... I'm having more luck with cf-rtmp - I can see the
'In' and 'Out' counters ticking away when i view my ColdFusion
Event Gateway Instance in the CF admin.
So polling-amf won't connect, whereas rtmp will. Neither
channel will 'subscribe' though.
I've got ColdFusion Extensions 0.5.155475 installed (don't
ask me how - it was a nightmare!) and working in Flex Builder 2.
I tried bringing the flex/libs over to flex builder from CF
as they were newer - no good
I updated Flex Builder with:

but i solved it some other way... not entirely sure this was
it though as i was doing a lot of things at once...
it was fds.swc... possibly it was out of date or missing.
