Sent texts

For reasons unknown to me, some messages (not all) when sent show a 'D' in a small blue box instead of the usual tick in a blank box ... and I get the impression that some of the messages so marked are not actually 'sent'.
Any advice anyone?

Delivery reports for text messages are unreliable. Not all carriers even support them but when they are available I've never found them all that reliable. The messages marked with a D are, indeed, sent but I wouldn't count on the fact that they have been delivered to the recipient.

In ios7 is there a way to change the colour of a sent text?

Since upgrading to ios7 & on my iphone 5 the sent text messages in a conversation (my messages) are white on green and I don't find it that easy to read when I want to look back over a conversation. I tried making it bold in the Accessibility area of settings but that it no better. Inverting colours gives me a horrible purple. \does any one know if there is anyway I can make the text other than white - black on green would be fine.

While this doesn't actually change the colour of the mouse pointer, Mouse Locator does make it very easy to spot, even on a large display.
And it's freeware into the bargain!

On the iPad the Message app will ONLY send iMessages to other iOS Devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) that have activated iMessage.
There are 3rd party apps, such as Free Text, that will allow sending text messages in SMS format to other devices.

Using iMessage to sent text to person who has google account

On iMessage for mac, I can add my google talk account and I can sent text message to person who has google account which is not set as apple account.
I mean I can use iMessage like google talk. But, on my ipad when I put the same google account in iMessage, it shows that the account is not registered with iMessage. So, I want to know how can I sent text to a google account through my iPad's iMessage.

On your Mac, you're not sending to Google Talk users through iMessage, you're sending through Google Talk, but from within the Messages app, which supports many different instant message protocols on a Mac.
Messages on the iPad only Supports Apple's iMessage protocol.
There are apps in the AppStore that let you use Google Talk on iOS devices.

I cannot see my own sent texts

I cannot see my sent texts to other iphone users. This happens whether it is iMessage or SMS. It will show the sent message while it is sending and then the message will disappear. They will get it and respond to it but I cannot see it. Please help.

- Quit the App by opening multi-tasking bar, and swiping the App upward to make it disappear. (For iOS 6 older, hold down the icon for the App for about 3-5 seconds, and then tap the red circle with the white minus sign.)
- Relaunch the App and try again.

- Reset the device. (Same article as above.)
- Reset All Settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings)
- Restore from backup. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766 (If you don't have a backup, make one now, then skip to the next step.)
- Restore as new device. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137 For this step, do not re-download ANYTHING, and do not sign into your Apple ID.
- Test the issue after each step. If the last one does not resolve the issue, it is likely a hardware problem.

The only way I know of to save a Text message for printing is to copy it to your memo's and then print it out through the desktop software. Unfortunately there is no way to save a text message on the desktop otherwise and there is no way to print directly from the text message software. You can store them in the "saved" folder if you want as well, but that won't copy them to the desktop or allow them to print.

There is no settings for sent text under settings - sounds.
you option is to use the side control and put your phone on vibrate or lower the volume of your ringer.

HT3529 iMessage sent text swoosh

I have looked everywhere in settings and cannot figure out his to remove the swoosh sound from the sent text. I have removed it from sent email, but not text. Is there some other location besides settings? Or am I SOL?

I believe that is something that you can't change, there is no settings for that in sounds or messaging.

All recieved and sent text messages with each person or number are grouped together by each person or number - in a conversation format used with IM clients.
All sent messages in a conversation or by each person or number have a green background. All recieved messages have a gray background.

Yes, there is another way you can calculate it using textHeight. Here is an example:

You will divide myText.textHeight which is the height of your text in the box, by the size of the font.
In this case there are 5 lines, so myText.textHeight returns 80, and myFormat.size is 16. So 80/16
is 5. Remember to convert myFormat.size to a Number, otherwise it won't work.

For example, I posted an article on a news site, but found that only a small part of my article was posted.

I'm not sure whether Firefox saved that information. There is a chance that it is in the session history file, especially if you haven't closed that tab yet. To check that:
Open your currently active Firefox settings folder (AKA your Firefox profile folder) using
Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button
Find all files starting with the name sessionstore and copy them to a safe working location (e.g., your documents folder). In order to read a .js file, it is useful to rename it to a .txt file. Or you could drag it to Wordpad or your favorite word processing software.
The script will look somewhat like gibberish, but if you search for a word in your article that doesn't normally appear in web pages, you may be able to find your data.

My sent text messages are received, but are from my email address rather than my phone number since updating to iOS 7.

Fellow iPhone users have complained that my text messages are not longer associated with my phone number. Instead, they see my texts messages as from my email address.
The problem started after I updated to iOS 7. How can I resolve this? I would rather not continue to confuse friends/family when they receive a text message from an email address they do not recognize when it was in fact sent from my phone.

I think it's odd that the default setting is now your email rather than your phone, however... Very confusing for me and other iPhone users I know.

N95 can not sent text messages

Hi,
I have been using my N95 since UK release without a problem but now it is refusing to send texts. When I try to send one, it goes to my outbox with status 'Resend in...', tries a few times then fails telling me that the memory is full. I can still recieve texts and I can send and recieve MMSs. I've seen a couple of previous posts about this but none had conclusions.
I am on O2 and am running V11.0.026. I am not running any other applications. These are the things I have tried so far:
Restarting the phone, Resetting the message settings, Deleting all messages (inbox, outbox, sent, drafts, emails), Setting the 'Memory in Use' to my memory card and to phone memory, Sending to different phone numbers.
If anyone has any ideas about what to try before resoring Factory Settings then I would be very happy to listen.

hi i have recently had so much hassle from my n95 it has been close to getting thrown out the window of a speeding car!!!
anyway i wasnt able to send any texts over the weekend then i was on this site and a few people gave me an idea............
many said try factory settings but it only helps for a while to solve the problem i uninstalled my software thru pc suite the in stalled it again and it has never been woking better also ugrade the software while ur there!!!
