Separate Bank accounts for AP and AR

Hi SAP Gurus,
My client want to have Separate Bank accounts for AP and AR, for different reasons, I want to know how this configured in SAP and also I want to know what is standard process followed across SAP implementations
Please Suggest Disadvantages and Advantages of Having Different Bank accounts for AP and AR..

Hello,
Let me add a note on this subject.
This setup has its advantages.
A separate AR and AP bank account is really useful when you have a returned payment.
If an incoming amount arrives to your AP ( payer ) account it definately means it is a rejected transfer.
It helps a lot to reconlile the accounts.
Mark was absolutely right on the following:
This process really depends on Cash Management (Treasury).
Cash Management needs to pool the accounts so they can balance cash easily.

I'm thinking you had a Mac/Me.com account like I did that got transferred to iCloud. We were kinda grandfathered in to 25gig storage while the basic iCloud account storage is 5. As far as I know that storage plan is the only thing that expires tomorrow. You'll just be reverted back to the basic 5gig storage.
As far as anything else you don't need to have a different iCloud account, remember only one iCloud account can be used for the full suite of services on your phone but you could use a different one for iTunes and App store purchases if you wanted to. My wife and I share one account for those purchses on all our devices and computers but I do also use a separate iCloud account as my main one on my phone to keep our emails, messages, etc. separate.

It is basic criteria, u need to maintain same bank accounts for APP and BRS, after all what is APP, you are paying amount from your bank account for which the Bank will send the statement for your accont mentioning the various transactions. There is a link between APP and BRS, what ever house bank u r created in FI12, the same needs to be assigned in FBZP (APP configuration) under bank determination.

Maintaing 2 Bank accounts for employees

Hi,
Can we create 2 bank accounts for an employee? My clients requirement is to maintain a reimbursement account separately.
I tried maintaining a record in Sub-Type"Other Bank" but I noticed that wage type"/559" did not generate in the RT.
So Is there a way to maintain a separate bank account for :
1.For payroll run purpose OR
2. only for reporting purposes

Subtype 5 is not available in the system. When i maintained the bank detailsin sub-type "other bank"; wage type /559 was not generated at all in the RT during payroll run.

Time Machine does not do individual accounts. It records the complete drive. So if you were to use her TM backup on your Mac it would make your Mac just like hers. Both yours and her account on your MAC.
Just copy the missing files over from her Mac to yours. If there are differennt programs on each then they would need to be installed on both.

Hello, thank you for your prompt answer. I did have an idea that Home sharing might be the answer but could not quite figure out how to do it. I have enabled home sharing in my iTunes account, put in username and password, clicked on creat etc. But the homs sharing icon doew not appear in the left side of iTunes. So I got stuck. They can't. Which came first - the chicken or the egg? Actually, that's a bad comparison but a sync must come first.
The library is actually part of iTunes and it contains everything. iTunes is then configured so that you (or they) determine which portion of everything will be synced to each iPod (identified by a unique name, see below for an example of an iPod and an iPad). iTunes can't make that decision until AFTER it knows which iPods exist.
By the way, I (you, they) can very easily change the name of each device to whatever I (you, they) wish to call it.

you can connect the iPhone to your mac and import those iPhone photos and videos to iPhoto assuming you have iPhoto. You can create a folder and export all those photos to the Finder. Keep safe somewhere. Also keep the iPhoto library for safe keeping. When you restore your iPhone you can sync all those photos back to the iPhone. so you will lose nothing. Just remember when you export from iPhoto select jpeg for photos and original for videos taken with the iPhone.

No. Facetime and iMessages can be used with different email addresses, but there's no need to have separate iTunes accounts and in fact it is recommended you have only one iTunes account.
Basically you can go into Settings->Facetime and Settings->Messages, and change the "You can be Reached by Facetime At" address to a different one for each device. Same applies for Messages under Send & Receive.
Then you can use that address to contact that specific device.

What's the best way to record the bank fees for incoming and outgoing payments? Can it be done directly in the payment, or can it only be done as a manual journal entry?

Thanks for your response. I tried doing as you suggested. In Bank Transfer I reduced the Total amount by the sum of the bank charge ($20), and then I selected the bank expense account in G/L Account under Cash, and entered the sum $20. Now the Overall Amount equals the amount of the invoice being paid.
However as I entered the bank charges account I got the following message:
A cash account is required. Choosing a different account may cause inaccuracies in the cash flow report
Can you tell me if I can ignore this?

Single Payment through multiple banks/accounts for multiple vendor invoices

In R12, is there a way to pay through different Bank Accounts for different supplier invoices in a single go?
I assume, we can do so by creating a PPR, and then assigning payer bank account for each invoice before creating payment instruction.
However, we are looking for a single template setup which can have multiple bank accounts tied to different Pay Groups, and based on invoice pay groups the system automatically selects he bank accounts while creating the payment file.
E.g. We have Inv01 in OU1 with Currency USD, Paygroup USD_PAY, Inv02 in OU1 with Currency EUR paygroup EUR_PAY, Inv03 in OU2 currency USD paygroup USD_PAY & Inv04 in OU2 currency EUR paygroup EUR_PAY. We have seperate Bank Accounts for each currency say EUR_BANK, USD_BANK
Can we create a single template such that for paygroup USD_PAY, bank account USD_BANK can be set up and for paygroup EUR_PAY, EUR_BANK can be setup, so that when we create payment file, we can have them created simultaneously for USD_BANK (Inv01 & Inv03) & for EUR_BANK (Inv02 & Inv04)

An account means an iTunes Store account which is an online service. Do you mean that, or do you mean a library on a computer?
iOS devices can only be synced to one iTunes library at a time. You can sync that iPod to your account but it will wipe everything currently on it.

If you use manual syncing, you can sync items from more than one iTunes library to your iPod. (You can sync iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad with only one iTunes library.) I could post another 2 pages of stuff trying to cover every possible scenario. It would help if you let us know exactly what you want to do. Are you trying to sync just a few songs (like giving them to a friend which is something iTunes is deliberately set up not to do)?
