Separate documents are printed as continuous documents.

I am printing via USB to a Samsung ML02151N laser printer. To save paper, I print either double-sided or two pages per side. My problem arises if printing different documents, one after the other. If I send the subsequent document to the printer before the previous one has finished printing, then the printer fails to select a new sheet of paper and instead will print the subsequent document as a continuation of the previous one. In other words, if I am printing double-sided and the first document has an odd number of pages, then the second document will begin on the rear of the last page of the first document.
Any ideas? I've tried reinstalling the driver.

Hello Nicholas,
Reading your post I wonder if your method of printing is causing this outcome. When you print a file, the spool file that is sent to the printer typically has some sort of start and end of page command within the file. This should be interpreted by the printer to eject the sheet prior to printing the next spool file. For this next spool file to be printed on the reverse page of the previous, the printer must not be receiving the instruction to print this second spool file separately but as a continuation of the previous.
Could you explain your process of printing the different documents. Do you have some sort of printer shortcut that you are dropping the file onto? If not, does this occur from a particular application?

  • E Mail documents and PDF documents are printing incorrectly.

Any document that I print directly from my email is printing off way too small.  I checked all of my printer settings and they are okay.  What next?  I feel this has to be directly related to the Email App.  Even PDF files are printing off incorrectly, no matter what adjustments you make in the PDF settings boxes.  How do I fix this?  I am so frustrated, and I have wasted a ton of paper trying to get this right. PLEASE HELP ME!

Did you try either printing from the browser File menu, or downloading the items to your computer and then printing from there?

  • Document Managment - Printing MS Office Documents

I am using Document Management and want to distribute documents based on an BOR Object Event trigger.  The documents are MS Office documents such as Word / Excel.  My requirement is to print the documents to the default printer of the user who triggered the event.  I am able to trigger the distribution but the result is a SAP mail with the documents attached but I want to actually output the attachments WORD / EXCEL attachments automatically to the printer. Any help would be appreciated.

This is a problem with Microsoft office documents that's been going on for years. If you Google around enough, you'll find people complaining about it going back to Office 2004. I've been looking into it for a couple of years for a client who uses Leopard and office 2004. Possible solutions include: creating an invisible folder at the root level of the SharePoint called “TemporaryItems” and using Terminal to give it the proper permissions; changing all of the numeric user IDs away from 501 and 502 and using very large unique numbers instead; and changing the owner of the share point on the server to something called NETWORK SERVICE (it's unclear to me if this will work on a Mac server or only Windows).
I have applied the TemporaryItems folder solution, and it did solve the problem for a number of months. But it just came back with a vengeance. So here I am, googling around again. I can tell you this problem occurs, with some variations, in versions of Office from 2004 through 2011, and Mac operating systems from Tiger through Snow Leopard. It's rather mind-boggling that this has never been dealt with.

You can find lots and lots of people online complaining about this. Just spend some time searching. In my case, my clients are only using two computers, one of which is using native filesharing, so it's not even a full-on server situation.

  • PDF documents are blank but epub documents are not

    Hello All;
I have an install of ACS 4. Installed on the following.
    Linux version 2.6.28.1-xxxx-std-ipv4-32 ([email protected]) (gcc version 4.3.2 (Debian 4.3.2-1) ) #2 SMP Fri Jan 30 09:55:02 UTC 2009
I have a production license and I am able to fulfill books - both epub and PDF.
However, when I attempt to download/view the books in Adobe Digital Editions, the PDF files are blank. I should mention that the PDF files that are blank, are PDFs that I grabbed from public domain sites (archive.org). The epub documents that I grabbed from the same source, work find in Adobe Digital Editions.
I would also add that the sample books that are included with Adobe Content Server work just fine. So, I am to assume that there is something 'wrong' with the PDFs that I have.
Anyone see this before? Anyone know where I could look for answers?
    Thanks much.
    Glen

Digital Editions supports essentially the PDF/A profile (plus some extras see the FAQ at http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/faq/ for the full list).   The most commonly noticed thing that is missing compared to the current PDF 1.7 spec is JPEG2000 support.
What happens when you view these files in Digital Editions before your package them?

  • Documents are not printed in tray selected

    Hello all,
I met one problem to print some Spool Orders in one specific tray.
One phisical printer is created twice in SAP :
    - one printer for one tray (ex : tray2)
    - one printer for the other tray (ex : tray3)
    Tray1 is not used.
When i'm printing SmartForms documents, they are printing in the selected tray, but some others documents (ex: SAPScipt documents) are printing to the default tray of the phisical printer but not in one selected.
Did somebody met this problem and succeeded to resolve it, please ?
Many Thanks in advance for your help.

in SPAD u will define the OUTPUT TYPES for the output types we have a option to select-->OUTPUT ATTRIBUTES Tab..  here   u can give the Default Tray as you want.in PAPER TRAY(u'll find it bottom of output attribute tab).
I hope u r problem will be solved by changing the output type settings
Please Close this thread.. when u r problem is solved

  • Problem with printing DIN A3 Documents with Adobe Reader XI

    Hi,
i have some documents in DIN A3 with several pages. If these documents are printed (i tried different printers), the first page is printed correctly, but the other pages are printed wrong. On the left you can see the first page and on the right you see the other and wrong printed pages, but all pages should look like the first page. In Adobe Reader X it works correct and i installed Reader XI with default settings.
What i have to do, that all pages are printed right? I tested and tried with Windows 7 and XP.
    Regards,
    M.Hivner

    Hi SuzyQ1,
The opening time of a PDF depends a lot on its internal structure.
Very complex forms are also known for long opening times.
Try clearing the Temporary files on your Windows and it will speed up your system to some extent.
Another thing you can do is,you would have to turn off any software that is running either in your Task Bar or shut them down in Task Manager.
    Regards,
    Florence

  • Printing Pics in Document

My printer will not print pictures inserted into a Word document. The text portion of the document prints, but it just ignores the pictures regardless of how they have been inserted. My printer is an HP deskjet F4140.

Open Word document and click on File -> Word options. Under Display check if following options are selected:
    - Print drawing created in words
    - Print background colors and images
Select both the options and print the file. Check if pictures inserted in the document are printed now.

  • Outlook not printing all PDF documents

    Hello,
When I print an e-mail with multiple PDF documents in the attachments, it's not guaranteed all documents are printed.
For example: I get an e-mail with 6 PDF files. I print the e-mail and include the attachments. The e-mail is printed, but not all 6 PDF files. It could be 3, 4 or 5. This means I have to check all pages everytime I print.
Weird thing is that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. My colleague has the same issue. The problem occurs on multiple printers. Other files like .jpg or Word print with no problems at all. We work with Outlook 2013.
When I print the e-mail I get a pop-up that the document is sent to the printer (this is the actual e-mail). After that Adobe Reader opens en I see multiple messages that the document is sent to the printer. I'm guessing that not all documents are opened properly and that's why they're not printed. Is this a known issue? Because I found a previous discussion for Outlook 2010, but that one remained unanswered.
    Please help me out.
    Kind regards,
    Rense H.

Here's a link to the page in question (although there are other pages as well):
    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1787993/Guitar/Page_7_from1.L%26M_Guitar_Manual.pdf
What I found is that if I print to my main printer (HP 4300), the gridlines of the pictures in the middle of the page don't show up.
If I print to the Xerox 6360DT that I have, the picture shows up fine.
There must be a setting in the HP properties that's making it not work but I haven't been able to figur out what the setting is.

  • SAP Easy DMS - Link between Document Area and Document Types

    Deat Friends,
Is there a transaction code or a customizing available to link the Document Area and Document Types??
For example: Document Area (DMS) is linked with Document Type (DRW)
    Thank you,
    Sri

    Hello Chandu,
We are trying to create a documents via TCODE: CVO1N
One of the entry we need to populate is the "DOCUMENT TYPE" to create a document. If, we enter the Document Type = DRW, we are not able to see our custom Storage Category while attaching/Check-in a document.
Where as, If, we enter the Document Type = DMO, we are able to see our custom Storage Category while attaching/Check-in a document.
I see that the Document Type = DRW is linked to Document Area = DMS
Similarly, the Document Type = DMO is linked to Document Area = FILESYSTEM
My question is, Is there a transaction code or a customizing option available to link the Document Area and Document Type?
    Thank you,

  • Photos are printing elongated

I have a deskjet 3054. I am trying to print photos from my computer. The photos are coming out elongated. Documents are printing OK. How can I fix this?

Does AirPrint allow you to manipulate printer settings on the iPad? Are emails in black and white only? Have you tried printing an email with something colored in it like text, or an avatar, or something? If emails aren't printing color, or can only be printed in black in white, the printer isn't getting the message to use color and is just blasting out the black ink. Somewhere there has to be a step you are missing (obviously) that should fix this. Dumb question, but you do have colored ink in the printer, right?

  • I try to convert word 2011 document to a pages 09 document but save as only does 08

I have Pages 09 ver. 4.3 both on my iMac and on my iPad. I have my resume saved on my mac as a word 2011 docx but, when I try to convert it to pages in Save as... it only wants to save the document as a Pages 08 document and that will not work on my iPad mini!
I have know way to put this in my iPad Mini.
    I need some help please.
This is critical to me as per I'm looking for work.

    Bip,
The current version of Pages for your iPad is 1.7.2, I believe.
Word documents are converted to Pages documents not by Save as, but by Opening in Pages.
Pages 09 on your iMac Saves as Pages 09 by default, and can Save As... to Pages08 as an option.
I wish you well in your search for work.

As I recall, there were two separate updates for AppleWorks, one for OS 9 and one for OS X. You should make sure that you have the proper one. For OS X, the version should be 6.2.9. I am not sure if that will help you, but a proper installation is always a good idea. You might want to ask in the AppleWorks forum, if that does not solve the problem.
Oh, and check your fonts. Some fonts that worked with OS 9 cause problems with OS X.
