Separate frame by frame in iMovie

I need to create a 3d video on iMovie.
To do this I have to separate the movie frame by frame. In the older version it was easily possible, with iMovie 9 I can't find any option to do so.
Could someone give me some tips&trics?

To explain: I've to separate frame by frame, then cancel every 2nd frame and substitute the frames cancelled with other frames from another clip....I know, it's a bit complicated to explain, but the goal is to create a 3D clip...Thanks again for your precious help!! Take care!

If you have similar situation that just want to keep audio but not video, and if your file format is not workable in iMovie, you can use the Audio Converter for help too. it can easily help to extract audio soundtrack from any video format. Or if you need to convert one audio format to another, it is a good choice too, because it supports many common audio output formats.

Problem: Web.Show_Document with separate frame = True

We run our application in a seperate frame, so the applet is running outside our browser. When I change the URL in the browser-window the Forms Built-In Web.Show_Document does not work anymore (no browser window will be shown). Is it possible to solve this?

though Forms shows in a separate frame, the Applet instance is in the Browser window. If you change the URL in the Browser window then this is equivalent to closing the Applet session. The sepratate frame is a Java Frame that is called similar to
Frame f = new Frame();
f.show();
There is no way to change this except the suggestion to make the Browser Window small as possible do the user does not play with it.

I want to cut a part of several single frames in imovie, and paste each of them in one single frame in imovie, or iphoto, so that I can print a single photo montage of all the cut images. Is this possible in imovie 08 and iphoto, and if not, does anyone know what software will do this?

Sorry this isn't possible in im08, try creating single frames in PS and importing them into imovie.

The answer to your question depends on what you ant to do with the DVD.
Do you want a DVD menu, slide show etc.
iPhoto will allow you to burn straight to a DVD. Just select the album you want to burn then go to share in the tool bar and select Burn.

I was just trying to figure this out the other day and found that you can easily do this from QuickTime Pro. So you'd need to export a small movie from imovie that contains the frame you want to grab (or a movie you've already created), and then from QuickTime Pro, from the file menu, choose export, and then choose "movie to picture". From that menu box you can choose a range of options and file types to save your image file. I couldn't find this feature within imovie. If you don't have QT Pro, it is a $30 upgrade to the base QT Player.

Displaying applet in separate frame

i am using following code to display applet in separate frame.

so the applet gets displayed in separate frame. but at the same time.
i also see a 'gray area ' on my jsp page. how do i remove that?

maybe if you try something like this

the frame should open according to preferedSize of the applet
so in the applet code just set the prefferedSize to 600x600

Firefox v33 - Verified by Visa (opens in separate frame) is now blocked without an opportunity to bypass the 'untrustworthy connection'.

With the latest version of Firefox (running on Windows Vista Business), the separate frame which is opened by 'Verified by Visa' after a purchase transaction, is now blocked saying that I am trying to connect to an untrustworty site. I guess this is because Firefox is now hypersensitive to mixed content. However there is no opportunity to used the 'continue' option.
The easiest workaround is to use Chrome which doesn't have these problems.

Among the alternatives not mentioned... Using a TiVo DVR, rather than the X1; a Roamio Plus or Pro would solve both the concern over the quality of the DVR, as well as providing the MoCA bridge capability the poster so desperately wanted the X1 DVR to provide. (Although the TiVo's support only MoCA 1.1.) Just get a third-party MoCA adapter for the distant location. Why the hang-up on having a device provided by Comcast? This seems especially ironic given the opinions expressed regarding payments over time to Comcast. If a MoCA 2.0 bridge was the requirement, they don't exist outside providers. So couldn't the poster have simply requested a replacement XB3 from the local office and configured it down to only providing MoCA bridging -- and perhaps as a wireless access point? Comcast would bill him the monthly rate for the extra device, but such is the state of MoCA 2.0. Much of the OP sounds like frustration over devices providing capabilities the poster *thinks* they should have.

Converting still frames from iMovie

Hello, I took some still frames from iMovie (right click on playhead and say something like capture still whatev). I guess they are in .dv format which is fine for iMovie and iDVD, and maybe Final Cut Pro, but what if I want to take that still .dv and put it into photoshop to make a CD label? Photoshop doesn't do .dv, is there some converter I can get to convert from the .dv to the JPEG? or GIF? Thanks for the help.
I'm loving all the free software I can get for my Mac, so hopefully there's a free one out there.

Once you have created it, click on it to highlight and go to File > Save Frame As > and then save it as a .jpeg on the desktop (or wherever). Should be good to go then. I believe the default format is .jpeg.

I have managed to extract still frames from videos and put them back into iMovie. I would now like to export some still frames from iMovie and put them into a Word document. I can't seem to figure out how to do this. Any ideas?

Here is one way to do it, although you will see there could be variations.
1) Open iMovie
2) Start a new project - name it Stills for iPhoto (or a name of your choice)
3) Go to your EVENT. Find the spot with the cursor that you want a photo of. Right-click (or control-click if you don't have a mouse) and select ADD STILL FRAME TO PROJECT.
4) The photo should be in the Project called Stills for iPhoto.
5) Right-click (control-click) on the photo and select REVEAL IN FINDER.
6)When the finder window opens, right-click and select COPY. Go to your Desktop or a folder of your choice and right-click PASTE
7) Drag the photo from your Desktop to iPhoto

You have to Import the still image into the iPhoto Library. Go to the File Menu > Import to Library... then choose the photo from the Desktop or wherever you may have saved it onto your Macintosh.
