Separate Header Footer Backgrounds

Is there a way possible to specify different backgrounds for the header and footer in iWeb. As of now it seems you can only specify the page and browser backgounds. Any work around to specify different repeating backgrounds in a header and footer?
Thanks for any help.

There is a workaround. Create a rectangular shape and move it into the header or footer area. Then move it back or front as needed. Remember you can also create TEXT in the footer area if you create a TEXT and then press CMD while holding the TEXT with the mouse and moving it across the line that divides main body from footer. These two actions allow you to customize the footer area... caveat: you will need to do CMD-C and CMD-V to paste same change on every page of your site as this modifies just the page you are working on, not all the footers at once.
Hope this helps,

  • Why is my header & footer cut off by Dreamweaver?

    Greetings. I would highly appreciate any help in resolving this issue.
    I created a website using dreamweaver. Upon publishing it, I noticed that the header, footer, and sidebar have been cut off. I have an image in the header and footer, and only 1/4 of the image is showing on the website.
    Furthermore, the second part of the sidebar, starting with the black area is supposed to extend all the way down to the bottom of the page (right on top of the footer), yet only about 1/4 of that is showing as well.
    please  let me know what I can do to resolve this issue.

    In the header, you have your image as a background image.  A BG image does not change the height of the container, so the only thing that is giving your height is your use of
    <p></p>
    which is not the correct way to go.
    Set a new rule in your .header for a min-height of however large your background image is, that is will solve the header/image issue.
    In the side nav, change the background color to your menu color, see if that solves your problem, if not a better option would be to use a faux column, you can read about them here.
    http://www.paulgdesigns.com/faux-columns.php
    Your footer you have the image set to 25 px in height, and that appears to be what you are getting.

  • IDCS4 Export to PDF (Header/Footer Screwed Up) in PDF...Possible Solution?

    THE PROBLEM (See "Evil footer setup.pdf"):
    When you convert a IDCS4 document to a PDF while using a 2-page master, the PDF may be missing the odd or even pages. The page content (silly face) is there, but the header and/or footer is screwed up on either the odd or even pages.  The even pages are mess up in this example.
    THE REASON:
    INCS4 does not like a single (header and footer) box to be dragged across both pages.  Whe you do, you get them on one page or the other. Anything in theses header/foot goes asta-la-bye bye. In "Evil footer setup.pdf" both the header and footer boxes were two separate boxes drawn on one side, then dragged across the other page.
    THE SOLUTION: (See "Happy footer setup.pdf")
    On the 2-page master, set up the even (left pages) first with all of the header and footer information (include bleeds). If your using colored boxes for the header and foot area, put them on the bottom layer and put all text and page numbers on a new layer above. In the "Happy footer setup" example, the even (left) page header is identified by light cyan and the footer is identified by light magenta. Once the left side is done, group it, dup it and move it to the odd page (right side). The header on the odd (right) pages is now dark cyan while the footer is dark magenta.  Once boths sides are set up, overlap each header and footer onto the opposite page by 1/8 of an inch to cover any gaps (seen in the happy example). This is assuming the header on both sides is the same color.
    The "Sample Master Pages.pdf" (TOP) shows a single box header and footer dragged across 2 pages. (BOTTOM) shows a single box header and footer on each individual page.  Remember the layers. Compare the sample to Happy and Evil and you'll get the idea.
    Hope this helps someone.

    This MAY be solved by the 6.0.4 update. See the release notes for item #2299929.

  • How to make shapes appear behind page header/footer in Pages '09

    In a Pages (v4.0.2) page layout document, I'm trying to make a gradient as the page background. Since there's no built-in way to do this (as far as my googling shows), I've tried what others have suggested:
    1. Create a new shape and resize it so it fills the entire page
    2. Go to Arrange > Send to Back
    3. There's no step three!
    This work great for most of the page. However, the page header and footer are always hidden by the shape, and I can't find a way to get them to lay +in front+ of the shape. How can I get the background shape behind the header & footer?
    Thanks for your help,
    Mike

    As far as I know you don't need to send the shape to the back.
    Choose in the menu Format > Advanced > Move Object to Section Master
    Are you sure that we may do that with a shape?

  • Formatting Color of Header/Footer in Pages

    I'm using Pages 5.5.1; I'd like to format the color of the header/footer cell in a file that was sent to me (screenshot of said header below). However, when I double click the cell, there is no option for me to change the background color of the actual cell (it only allows me to change the text).
    Any insight into how to simply change the color would be appreciated.

    Figured it out...if you click the cell, go under "Layout" and then expand the menu for "Borders & Rulers," the color option comes up.

  • XMLPub 5.6.3: Data fields missing in Header/Footer

    Hello,
    I am having a problem with an RTF template, where the data fields in the
    template Header or Footer that should display data do not appear at all, while
    the fixed text that is in the Header/Footer is shown.
    This template is built with the start:body/end body syntax to separate
    the fields that belong to the Header/Footer from the body of the report. The
    body has a for-each@section that works fine and a split-by-page-break at the
    end, after the Footer fields.
    I played a little bit with the template and I found out, that:
    - if I change my template not to use the start:body/end body syntax, but I use
    the Header/Footer Word functionality with the explicit field names specified in
    the header or footer, the data fields will not be displayed;
    - if I remove the for-each@section, the data fields in the Header (before the
    start:body) and in the Footer (after the end body) are displayed correctly;
    - if I duplicate in my XML file one of the elements that are in the Header and I put it
    in the child group that is displayed in the repeating section and I add another data
    field in that section, it will display both in the Header and in the repeating section;
    This very template works fine on an E-Biz instance at another customer site, but
    only here it's showing this issue.
    It also looks like a different problem than the one caused by the Microsoft
    security update. In fact, I cannot not find any "/headerr" or "/ footerr"
    strings in the template RTF. (Anyway, is there a patch for version 5.6.3?)
    Can anybody shed some light on this strange issue? Any advice?
    I am using XMLPub Desktop 5.6.3 and MS Word 2000 9.0.6926 SP-3.
    If someone wants to have a look, I've prepared a small test example to show this weird behavior.
    Thanks,
    Paolo

    ashee1,
    Please refer XMLP User Guide Chapter 9. You need to define data definitions and upload the data template to DataTemplate filed.
    Create the Template Definition and upload your RTF Template.
    Create a Report Definition in Concurrent Program/Manager and set the executable as XDODTEXE. make sure the program short name is the same as Data Definition.
    Set the output type as XML and the OPP will pick your RTF Template.

  • Header Footer tool replaces headers and footers in PDF

    The header/footer tool replaces the headers and footers in my PDF, this header and footer I am referring to was not added in Adobe but was added in Word 2010, when I tried to add an additional header to my PDF (I added a page number) it replaced the footers that was already in my document. The only way I could get around this is with adding a header instead of replacing, which is quick fix, but as soon as you add more pages to your PDF and want to re-apply the header/footer to update the page number that I added to the header it would remove ALL headers and footers from the PDF.

    I am having the same problem.  Here are the steps.  We created a series of documents in WORD 14.0.7143.5000 32 bit.  Each WORD document has a footer specific to that document (i.e. WORD documents are: Business Plan, Market Study, etc. which are each a separate WORD document, each with a separate WORD footer).  Each WORD document is converted to PDF with Adobe X.  The PDF documents are then combined into a single document with Adobe X.  Then with Adobe X we create a new footer (i.e. Document Package, with date, etc.) which is applied to each page of the Document Package.  So each page of the Document Package SHOULD have a Footer of : (1) On the Left Margin - the original WORD document (i.e. Business Plan) and (2) on the right margin - the footer inserted with Adobe X (Document Package footer).
    Here is where it breaks.  The WORD footers are retained when we convert from WORD to Adobe.  The WORD footers for each document are also retained when we combine the several PDF's into a single PDF (Document Package).  It is only when we add the Adobe Footer to the Document Package that we lose all the original WORD footers.  The result is the Document Package has only that one Document Package footer (on the right margin), and we lose each of the footers which were in the original WORD documents (left footers).  I tried this two ways.  First was to modify the footer, and the second way was to add a new footer - neither works - both delete the original WORD footers.  Also, it is interesting because the original WORD footers do not show up in the ADOBE footer box (the screen where you enter the text and other information for the footer).
    The use of the Watermark might be possible, and it is probably the work around we will need to use, but it is a poor solution.  Please let me know when fixed.

  • Misaligned header/footer in iWeb 'blog

    Got designated to create my agency's website. While they wouldn't shell out the bucks for Adobe or anything similar, they did get an iMac with iWeb '09, so I've been using that. The header, footer, and navigation menu are consistent across the site with the exception of the main 'blog page and archive- the header and footer get pushed off the top and bottom margins of the page (they appear to be placed properly as the page is rendering; then when it's finished rendering, they're in the wrong spots). I've viewed it with Firefox 3.0.11 and Safari 4. Any ideas? The site is http://stephenssheriff.com ; the 'blog page is under "News". Thanks!

    Something to do with the dynamic content nature of the page?
    Possibly. Is the Inspector/Page/Page pane for the blog page the same as the other pages? If you go into one of the other pages and check or uncheck the lower checkbox you can see the content of the page shift slightly upward and downward. That's what made me think that pane was different for the blog page. That's the only item I can think of that would affect the page in the manner you're seeing.
    FWIW I had to put that page and another in separate windows to see the difference you were referring to. It's not obvious except to the designer who looks for those sorts of inconsistencies.

  • Height designation affects footer & background

    I'm having problems getting the footer #address to align
    correctly. I have #horizontalContainer which is positioned above
    #address. It contains everything except the #address. It also has a
    repeating background image of the gradient and a white background

    If I designate the height for #horizontalContainer at 1000

    If I designate the height for #horizontalContainer at 100%,

    and color of #horizontalContainer do not show up and the grey

    were made for local farmers and small fabrication jobs were

    <p>JWR has since grown into a company with national

    JWR provides equipment and solutions for the waste and

  • Pages 5.5 Header/footer alignment

    How to align text to the left in Pages 5.5 in all 3 boxes in header or footer?

    I've just found another solution:
    1. create 3 columns table in Pages 4.3
    2. input text in those 3 columns, make alignment whatever you like
    3. copy text from each cell of Pages 4.3
    4. paste text into each box of Pages 5.5 header/footer
    5. voilà

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 Header/Footer

    It is easy to add, edit or remove a footer on a PDF document.
    It is possible to add the page number, the date, or a text by the "Document - Header & Footer".
    My question is: Is it possible to include an AutoText in the footer of a PDF? I need the Filename in the text of the footer. Now, the only way I found is to manualy type all the differents file names but I have a lots of documents.
    How can I include the FileName on a foother of a PDF document and is it possible to easily apply this setup to hundreds of documents.
    Thanks in advance

  • Report header/footer not getting displayed ondashboard

    We added deault header/footer to OBI reports as per the steps given in OBI Presentation services
    administrator guide (section 3: Administering Oracle BI Answers):
    By adding xml code as below under 'OracleBIData\web\msgdb\customMessages' folder
    <WebMessage name="kuiCriteriaDefaultViewElements" translate="no"><HTML>
    <view signature="compoundView" >
    <pageProps pageSize="a4">
    <pageFooter showOnDashboard="true" show="true">
    <zone type="top"><caption>Footer Text</caption>
    <displayFormat fontColor="#FF0000"/></zone>
    </pageFooter>
    </pageProps>
    </view>
    </HTML>
    </WebMessage>
    The 'Footer text' is coming in all new requests created, but when we add that request to a
    dashboard as embedded section, the footer is not displayed. Can anybody please provide some
    information that how we can get any customized text/link added in report footer to get displayed
    on the dashboard page.
    Thanks!

    Hi..
    yes, whatever the headers/footers you have mentioned in report will not be shown in dashboard..
    But if you mention the report link - download (don't specify headers/footers for dashboard at this time), when you download that report you can see the headers/footers in that report..
    But when you use download option for whole dashboard, you can't see those h/f s unless you mention the h/f s for the dashboard...
    This is expected, because when user download the dashboard he shouldn't see the 2 h/f s.
    So, you need to mention the print pdf s in edit dashboard.
    Hope it's clear..
    Thanks & Regards

  • I have 5 html pages that share a common header, footer, and sidebar. how do i use my nav bar to change the content of the body without duplicating a lot of code?

    i have 5 html pages that share a common header, footer, and sidebar. how do i use my nav bar to change the content of the body without duplicating a lot of code? thank you!

    i inherited the website. It’s for a non-profit and is not very
    sophisticated, and neither am I in webdesign. It currently has multiple
    pages that are identical except for that body section, so whenever i change
    the navigation (in the sidebar) I have to update every html page.  I want
    to have one basic page, and just call in the different body content based
    on the link the user selects from the nav bar. How can i do that using a
    script? i am using Dreamweaver.

  • Why is my header/footer missing when I mail merge in Word 2013?

    I have just converted from Word 2007 to 2013 and now I am having an issue with my mail merge document. My mail merge document has our company letterhead set up in the header/footer. When I finish the mail merge by selecting 'Edit Individual Documents' using
    an Outlook contacts list - the first page is missing the header/footer but all the others are correct.
    I use this document and mail merge every few days so this is going to cause me much grief if it can not be resolved.
    I have never experienced this issue before and I consider myself an advanced Word user.
    Has anyone else had this issue and knows how to fix it?

    Hi,
    According to your description, my understanding is that the first page of the Word document lost
    the header/footer, but the other page display well.
    If it is, please try the methods and check if it is helpful:
    Click on File>Options>Display and make sure that there is a tick mark in the box for "Show white space between pages in Print Layout view."
    Then, do you use DOC file (Create in Word 2007) or DOCX file?If
    you use Doc file, I recommend you convert it to DOCX file to test.
    If I misunderstand something, please let me know.

  • Acrobat 8.1.2 crashes when Document Header & Footer Add .. is invoked

    I'm running Acrobat 8.1.2 PPC on a PowerBook G4/1.67 Ghz running Leopard 10.5.4. I haven't used the page numbering function in quite a while, since before I upgraded to Leopard. Today I assembled a course packet of 150+ pages from 50 or so individual pdf documents. All was fine until I wanted to put a page number in the footer by invoking Document > Header & Footer > Add.... It either crashes Acrobat after putting a spinning system cursor (more frequently) or simply does nothing. I've tried "Examine" to remove things, but it doesn't help (and it removes bookmarks even when you tell it not to!). Running the PDF Optimizer on this document crashes Acrobat as well!
    Invoking Document > Header & Footer > Add.... on other documents does work. Let me stress that this composite document was created by Acrobat itself! The workaround I found was to open the document in Preview, do Print > Save as pdf, and *then* invoke Document > Header & Footer > Add....
    Has anyone else seen these problems? Are these remaining incompatibilities with Leopard? Advanced > Document Processing > Number Pages doesn't seem to add page numbers!

    I don't think it makes a difference. An Adobe engineer has confirmed that this doc has revealed a bug in both Acrobat Pro 8 and 9.
