Separate multiple employees SAP HR

Dear Gurus,
I need to separate multiple employees(over 500), due to a roll out project from our company.
Every employee will be separated from a common date.
We use PA40 in common cases.
Is there any way to carry out this in Mass?

use lsmw / bdc for this at a time for all employees with a specific date.
Can you give your business requirement, why you want to separate all employees. if after the roll out the same employee personnel number, employee data, etc... so many things will require for you.
if you give some clarification of your business requirement, suggestions will given by the experts instead of separation and again hiring.

Error while assigning one Postion to multiple employees

Hi,
I can assign one Position to multiple employees. as per our requirement if I assign a Position to one employee and hire .. then I will hire another employee and try to assign the same Position which is already 100% assigned, when I try to save IT 0001 the system should through an error messege by saying Position exceeds 100%.
following configuration has been done to maintain the above scenarioa
1.Maintain Relationships--> Relationship Characteristics for B 008 - Error Messege for all
2. --> Additional data on relationship --> Relationship Persentatge is checked for 008.
3. Time Constraint Object ID - S to A008 is 3
4. Time Constraint for Object ID - P to B008 is 3.
Please suggest if need to do any settings to maintain the above scenario

Hi Priyaranjan,
I think you can take the abap'ers help in creating the program. But u need to provide them the exact functionality and the required specifications in creating the appraisal document.
Even tcode also u can get it prepared by Abap'ers.

Hi,
I have done appraisal document creation for bulk using txt file.
this fm used for single for creation in standard tcode (phap_prepare): 'WZ_HRHAP_0DOC_WZ01_START'.
So create ztcode usinh this fm for single form then record BDC for this tcode and called this tcode in that bdc for bulk creation .
While recording for single I have used manual option instead of automatic .

Travel request is created for multiple employee or multiple trip request

Hi Experts,
In our current application for creating Travel Request in offline scenario we are using function module 'FITP_CREATE_TRIP_FROM_REQUEST' to create the travel header data and 'FITP_UPDATE_REQUEST' to generate the line data.
We are calling these two function modules from a report which is executed in background.
The function modules are working fine single employee Id with single Trip request , but in case of single employee id having multiple Trip request or Multiple employee id ,each having single trip request , only the first trip is created properly and for all the successive trip we are getting an exception
' No trip data could be found for selected criteria'.
What is the way to overcome the issue?
please help.

all fields are dynamic i am not using any database field directly in my
crystal report.All calculations i am doing in code behind (earnings and
deductions calculations) so in code behind i will get one dataset with
all data to generate payslips(all dynamic data for all employees) but

Printing multiple employees on a page...!

Hi Experts,
A standard HR ALV report when executed for printing. It is printing details of an employee in a new page altogether. Consider if there are 100 employees then the details of which are printed in 100 pages. I want multiple employees to be printed in a page.
The events that are passed to the ALV are TOP-OF-PAGE and END-OF-LIST.
I would like to know when given for printing why is that only single employee is printed in a page? How is this new page created?

Restriction of number of records per page....
This is possible, using some of the events in the ALV.
You could use AFTER_LINE_OUTPUT event and call you form after say, a certain line count is reached on the list output.
MOVE 'AFTER_LINE_OUTPUT' TO gw_event-name.
MOVE 'AFTER_LINE_OUTPUT' TO gw_event-form.
APPEND gw_event TO gt_events.
CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY'
       EXPORTING
            it_events                = gt_events[]
and define the form for each event as follows - this would be a dynamic call by the ALV.
*&      Form after_line_output
      Form for the After Line Output Event in the internal table
     --> rs_lineinfo
FORM after_line_output USING rs_lineinfo TYPE slis_lineinfo.
IF sy-linno eq v_linno.          "Defaulted value for line count
    perform write_footer.
    NEW-PAGE.
ENDIF.
ENDFORM.                    " after_line_output
For lines per page:
rs_lineinfo-tabindex would give you the index of the current line in the list, which you could use to read the t_outtab table, and reduce the line count of items displayed on the earlier page.
There are a few other events too, like BEFORE_LINE_OUTPUT and END_OF_LIST which you can use as required and print the data.

Notifications to multiple employees

Hi,
I have created a custom workflow. Based on the conditions, is it possible to send same notification to multiple employees?? I mean sometime, i may need to pick 5 employees based on a condition and sometimes i may need to pick 2 different employees based on another condition.
Any ideas please share.

You can do this by looping the notification process.
Eg:
1. Process1: Fetch an employee and set the notification parameter. If no employees present go to Process 3
2. Process2: Send Notification and Goback to Process1
3. Process3: End

Record Working Time task merging multiple employees into a single task

Hi Everyone,
I'm going to check our configuration again to see if this is standard behaviour, config, or a problem with EHP 3's version of record working time.
So if employee A submits to manager A 1 task is created. Then when employee B submits to manager A we were expecting 2 tasks. However, we've been noticing manager A is getting 1 task with several line times.
We are ok with it merging tasks for employee A over multiple weeks. That is ideal actually.
The problem is that employee B's task should be separate.
Is there a quick fix?

I did try 31000007 and noticed the same behavior. Are you saying I should use an older version of the task to get back to grouped by employee number and not merging everything?
Well this causing us issues for a few reasons. The main one we developed a work around because we had to make sure emails were not being sent to 1 person for all the employees with their data. That would cause obvious security concerns.
But when forward tasks out managers want to be able to forward a specific employee's requests and not all of them. If some customers want this it should be a configurable option. To allow companies that want 1 single task or companies that want 1 task/employee/week.
This is inconsistent with the other portal applications. It would be nice if Germany picked 1 way of doing things or provided more configuration options. I'm hoping that OSS gives us something because merging everything into a single task for all employees is not the behaviour we want or expected.
I always appreciate your input because you have been very helpful as I learn about portal.

How do I manage multiple employees with different SW needs?

I have about 10 to 20 employees who use Adobe software, either Illustrator alone, PhotoShop alone, or the whole suite.
If I am thinking of migrating from the stand alone CS6 versions we are using today, how do I manage the subscriptions and get the right employees the software they need (and not let them upgrade without coming through IS team) and then re-assign a license when someone quits or is replaced?

We want to integrate the organization structure and employees from mySAP HR system to mySAP CRM system. We are also aware that the same can be achieved through ALE Interface between both these systems.
In addition to the HR Organization Structure from HR system, can we also bring over the Sales Organization Structure from R/3 using transaction CRMC_R3_ORG_GENERATE?
1) Can someone , please let us the possible challenges which might occur when we download HR Org structure from SAP HR to SAP CRM.?
2) What is the implication of maintaining an HR org structure and CRM Sales Org structure within the SAP CRM 52 system?
3) Any _precautions) should we take before doing the download via ALE??

Hi Ritvij,
Couple of things that spring to mind are:
1) When you do the initial data load (PFAL) try to ensure that no one is amending the Org structure as Objects can be locked and therefore not transferred. (on one of our test loads the top level was locked and therfore all subsequent levels were just transfered and we didn't have a top level)
2) Keep the 'forms of address' in CRM the same as the R/3 ones
3) Keep the same Employee and Org Unit IDs but prefix with (for exmaple) EM and OU in CRM. (Through the HR integration config in CRM). This may also (apparantley) aid you if set up something like an Employee interaction centre in the future.
I will update when other stuff springs to mind.

Deleting and or moving multiple adhoc/SAP queries in one go.

I am wondering whether anyone knows of a method to deleting multiple SAP queries in a single go. I would also like to be able to bulk move queries from one user group to another. We are having a wholesale clear-up of queries and the thought of having to do each one individually is scary!

To delete queries belonged to a user group, you can use SQ02 - GoTo - Query Directory, then key in the desired user group and execute. From the output list of this, you can select all queries and click on 'Delete Select Queries' .

Transaction iView opening in a separate window in SAP NW 7.3 portal

Hi Experts
I have created a transaction iView for LSO transaction.The iView is a SAP GUI for HTML type.When I am trying to open the iView from the portal , it opens in a separate tab instead of as a pop-up window.
The Launch in a New window property is set to Display in the portal content area.
If I try to edit the Launch in a window property and set it to Lock in target objects , it opens in the portal content area, but I want it to open in a complete new window as a pop-up.
I have attached screenshot of the expected result.
Please suggest.

Newer versions of IE default to tabbed browsing, this is not a portal issue.

How to separate multiple layers to eps / jpeg files?

I work with drawings of garments in illustrator and use layers to seperate out multiple colors. Is there a script/s that will seperate out each layer into individual eps/jpeg files with the name of the layer + the name of the original file into a new single file? Example: Original file name is 0005. This layer would have up to 10 color layers. I would like to have each layer seperate out to individual files named : (sample) 0005_red.eps and 0005_red.jpg
All jpeg files need to be 100dpi medium resoulution.
Any help would be appeciated!
