Separate Tenants for Project Pro and Non Profit Licensing

Hi - we have a nonprofit client that is eligible for the E1 donation but cannot add Project Pro to that account. We were told by a Microsoft tech that the client would have to start another account to use Project Pro.  My question is If
Project Online and Office 365 are separate accounts, will the calendar and user information still work like it should when adding tasks to project?

Hello Linda,
This is possible. You can have project online and Project Pro for office 365 on two different tenant. Once you install Project Professional, you need to configure the account in project professional to connect to your project online tenant. Below article
contains the steps connect to project server from Project Professional. In step 4 user have to enter the URL of Project online tenant and when they try to connect they need enter their Project Online credentials. Everything should work as expected.

In fact once you install the Project professional for office 365, you can connect to any PWA instance to which you have access to (on-premise and online).

    If I understand well, you had standalone projects that you'd like to import on Project Online?
    Then you just have to open MS Project (connnected to your project server) then SAVE AND PUBLISH it. Be sure to fill any required information such as project custom fields.
    What is the error you get while opening Project Pro? Has the project been correctly published from PWA (not just saved, and no error message in the queue)? Then is Project Pro connected to your project server?

    In my previous Organisation we got exactly the same landscape for BW as you described.BCS(BAYER COPSCIENCE LTD) operates a BW System Landscape with one centralized  Global Development System and three regional Quality Assurance and Production Systems located in Europe, Asia Pacific and Americas. This Landscape is to ensure consistent data models to be available in all regional systems as well as to minimize development efforts and make use of respective synergies.
    This is perfectly working  for BCS ,and I think, this is the most approriate way of handling of resources.

    I am having the same problem - the install crashes around 40%. 
    I am using MAC OS 10.10.2 and purchased Acrobat Pro monthly subscription.  The error message is: 
    'Acrobat installer has encountered an unexpected failure.  Please try again.  If it continues to fail, contact Adobe support.'
    I have tried several times but keep getting the same error message.  Any ideas?

    Hello,
    I have to create validation for Project Definition and Project Profile.User requirement is when the project (Exp: Z/0120) is creating with project profile Exp: Z0001_Z system should allow , If user is trying to select other than this profile system has to give the error.
    I tried below validation but it is not working:
    Prerequisite - PROJ-PSPID = 'Z'
    Check   -  PROJ-PROFL = Z0001_Z
    Kindly any suggest how can i give the validation for the same.

    Have you tried to save the project? Because validation rule will call at time of saving the Project.
    I have created the same but for start with 'U'
    When I create project and at time of saving, validation rule will call and system throw error if I don't create project start with 'U'.
    Now If I am creating here, start with 'J'. System  is throwing error as per validation rule.
    Also Pl check if you have assigned same correct rule on project profile.

    I'm trying to reduce the number of apps that I need to run, and this one just boggles my mind.

    The messages is to tightly coupled to the phone, that it doesn't make any sense for them to be separate.
    The contacts app is nothing more then looking at the contacts from the phone app.
    What's the story here?

    Phone contacts should have phone#, email contacts should have email addresses.
    If you want a contact to have both phone# and email address, then the two apps (phone/email) should be combined.

    The forums would be full of people complaining that you had to go through an additional step ( opening the phone app) to get to contacts.  I use the contacts app from the home screen far more often then I use it in relation to calling someone.

    Broadly speaking I want some sort of network storage( wireless or through my existing wifi router) that I can access files for both my windows PC and Macbook and also to access files to my iPad/ iPhone. Some sort of backup and sychronisation so that I can access certain files remotely.
    Buy a real NAS.. synology or QNAP are the standard... although companies like Netgear and Western Digital and Seagate make them as well.
    There is no problem sharing between Mac and PC now.. you do not even need a NAS to do that.. you simply share the hard disk directly. Mac talk SMB.. everything talks SMB nowadays.. so it is easy.
    ipad and iphone are not designed to use NAS.. they are designed to backup only to the cloud or itunes.. but you can load an app like file browser if you want.

    Remote access to the Apple TC is somewhere between difficult, to impossible from a PC.. Apple use BTMM and iCloud but the service is not offered to PC.
    A real NAS will offer HTTPS or SFTP or several other methods.. that both Mac and PC can use.
    You simply plug it into the current wireless router.. it is a network device and assessable over the network. It is not necessary to buy another router.. in fact that is a waste.

    I just validated my approach in a 2013 farm, this is precisely how it's done!
    Step 1) List > Display Form
    Step 2) Change the View within the Web Part Properties. In your screenshot it looks like you simply went to View Item on the single item, which is not the direction I gave =P.
    **Assuming you've already created the multiple views within InfoPath, this allows you to set them up as distinct defaults for New, Edit and Display, let's make that clear. If you are not even to the point of having separate views, that is just in InfoPath,
