Sequence File will not unlock for editing

A password was set on a sequence file. This password was copied from an instruction on how to create a deployment for a set of test. The sequence file will not unlock for editing. How can I unlock the sequence file? I am using Test Stand 2014. This file was last edited in Test Stand 2014.

I'm not 100% sure what you are having problems with. Is the problem that you simply don't remember the password? Or are you unsure how to get teststand to prompt to unlock the file? You can always go to the sequence file property dialog to unlock the file, assuming you know the password.

TIFF images are displayed as thumbnails but will not open for editing

I have noticed a problem with my iPhoto 7.xx
iPhoto displays the thumbnail of TIFF files but when it is selected (for editing as an example), iPhoto displays a grey circle with a black question mark. This happens with TIFF images from any source (multiple camera, scanner, etc). The TIFF files are NOT in raw format.

Open the file with Preview and do a Save As. Either change the format or keep the tiff. That should fix the files so they can be viewed normally in iPhoto. If the problem is due to an alpha channel in the file this will fix the problem.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Project will not open for Editing from Project Library

Help! I'm a teacher who puts together a 5 minute news show each week. I was almost done last night when imovie crashed. I tried to get into the project library and can see my project with everything done but the titles and sound. I select it and hit the edit button and nothing happens. I double click and nothing happens. In the project file, the project has a turned down right corner. Save me ! This is due first thing in the morning and I still have all the tweaking to do to the sound and titles.

TS5376 download file will not save for installation

As above I have been through the whole process as detailed. I did have issues uninstalling the mobile portion but got there in the end. I wnt into files and deleted anything left.
Now when I ask to download file it ask to save and even though I hit save it does nothing????

I am trying to read a document from a bank and the pdf file will not open for me to read it.

I have downloaded and installed acrobat reader xl and I still can not read pdfs for certain places why is this? I am using google chrome as my default browser. I went to the same banking website using explorer and the pdf opened without a hitch. Why is this?

Because Chrome uses its own PDF viewer; you should use the Adobe Reader plugin on Chrome to view online PDF docs correctly.

Write to measurement file will not ask for file name once as selected.

When using the Write to Measurement file Express VI. I select "Ask user to choose file" and "Ask only once" with the intention that the data from each iteration simply be appended to the chosen file.
I select "Run continuous" and the VI asks for me to choose a file repeatedly anyway instead of just appending the first file. Selecting "Write to one file" properly appends data to the file specified in the box.
Am I doing something wrong?

Movie will not play for editing

I imported a QT movie created from i Movie into FCE 3.0 Render went fine. Now I am unable to play back the movie without freezing the video. Audio continues on but video stalls.
Currently I have 1.25 GB of RAM. Will increase to 2GB when ordered RAM arrives.
Setttings: DV/NTSC 48 kHz Playback control is RT Safe and Video Quality low
What else can I do while waiting to install more RAM?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Is it on an internal or an external drive?
What kind, size, cache size, etc.?

According to Note: 284618.1 "Archivelog for thread % sequence % will NOT be compressed" message in trace files on 10.1.0.x, it is just an informational message and can be ignored.
Your version on the other hand is 10.2.0.2. There are several unanswered forum thread on metalink concerning the message in 10.2.0.2 database. One thread answers by Oracle supports points the person asking the question to the note above.

First..
1. Have you updated from 13 to the 13.1 Update using an opened project's Help Menu/Update. If not, please do so.
2. Do the problems exist if you disable the antivirus and firewall(s)?
3. Are you running the program as Administrator? Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer?
4. Have you refreshed the Online Services using Premiere Elements Editor Edit Menu/Preferences/Web Sharing?
5. Have you updated the Adobe Application Manager?

6.Is your video card/graphics card driver version up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card?
7. Lots more we could go through such as deleting the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file and, if necessary, the whole

But, I think that you have enough things going on here to warrant an uninstall, free ccleaner run through (regular cleaner and registry cleaner parts) and then reinstall with the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled.

Mov reference file will not open in QuickTime 7.7.4 for Windows

Hi,
I have a mov reference file which opened fine in QuickTime 7.6.2 but since upgrading to 7.7.4 the file will no open. I get the following error:
Error -2002: a bad public movie atom was found in the movie.
The file contains one PAL MPEG2 video track and one stereo PCM audio track. It also contains a timecode track.
See movie inspector below:
Can anyone help me understand why this file will not open with the latest version of QuickTime. I cannot supply the file but can give any information about atoms etc. which can be read using QTAtomViewer.
I am using Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008.

For those who want to call, the following menu options will get you to the Quick Time install tech support:
2 - takes you to the Quick Time submenu
2 - takes you to tech support
then, choose 1 for Mac or 2 for windows
Initially, I was told by tier 1 tech rep Shawn that the update server may not be up or that it may be a firewall issue on my side.
After telling him that I have confirmed that it is a problem with the update server sending a NULL (0 byte) response to the update query, he said I would have to just download the latest one in order to have the most up-to-date version and "just check back periodically to see if the update server is working".
He mentioned there was a Quick Time standalone download available (http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone.html), but that is still ~20MB & doesn't help the fact that probably over 90% of the people who run Quick Time have the option to automatically check for updates set and will never realize they're running an old, vulnerable version of Quick Time.
He gave me a case number after I asked for one: 58027568
If you'd like to add to mine and/or Rob's, it surely couldn't hurt.
I suppose my next course is to try emailing contacts at apple to see what kind of response they have. Considering this problem has been there ever since QT 7 for Windows has been released (I don't remember ever checking for updates when running QT 7 beta), it's strange that it's still a problem.

You may need to rebuild permissions on your user account. To do this,boot to your Recovery partition (holding down the Command and R keys while booting) and open Terminal from the Utilities menu. In Terminal, type: ‘resetpassword’ (without the ’s), hit return, and select the admin user. You are not going to reset your password. Click on the icon for your Macs hard drive at the top. From the drop down below it select the user account which is having issues. At the bottom of the window, you'll see an area labeled Restore Home Directory Permissions and ACLs. Click the reset button there. The process takes a few minutes. When complete, restart.
