Sequence Form window in Financials

Hi,
I'm using SAP B1 2005B Patch level 5(India Localization)
I want to know about the exact functionality of sequence Form in
(Administration>setup>Financials>Tax>sequence).I have already
gone through the help document but i'm not able to understand the
functionality.Please provide me some more information about the
functionality of sequence Form window.

Sequence no. can be used as defined in the system. It does not related
to document type. Which means, you can define as much sequence no.
user likes. It is not possible to copy the sequence no. along with
document number on the document.

When using webutil_file_transfer.client_to_db_with_progress or db_to_client_with_progress to load/view a document an intermittent fault occurs. If the Forms window is running on a second monitor then the forms window goes blank while the document up/downloads, and does not return unless dragged to the first window. The problem does not occur every time, and never when only one monitor is used. Maximizing the forms window also seems to cure the problem, but this is not a feasible option.
Any help greatly appreciated.

The problem is if the Window is made modal, it blocks the Outlook to launch and also goes back of the Outlook loading window (Whats New window will not be having keyboard focus). And if the Window is made non-modal (passing false to DisplayWhatsNewDialog()),
Outlook launches properly and What's New window comes at the top but will not be having keyboard focus; instead the launched Outlook window will be having the keyboard focus. May anyone please suggest a way to make the What's New window to be always having

The ShowDialog method will block the current thread. If you want to continue working with Outlook objects you need to use the Show method instead. The key fact is that both methods (Show and ShowDialog) accepts an instance of the IWin32Window interface
which allows to specify the parent window handle. Specifying the parent window handle (Outlook Explorer window) to the Show method you can make your window shown on top of Outlook all the time.
To get the HWND of an Outlook explorer object (e.g. Application.ActiveExplorer), cast it to IOleWindow and call IOleWindow.GetWindow(). Also you may find the

1. I created Apps form using form builder 6i but when I clicked on my form window close button immediately another PROGRESS window Pop up which doesn't allow me close the form as per Oracle Standard.

This forum is dedicated to Non-Enterprise Business Suite (EBS) forms development. I suggest you post your question in the General EBS Discussion forum. Developing Forms for the EBS is very different fr0m non-EBS forms because of the EBS Framework.
Probably the biggest mistake developers make when writeing EBS Forms is to create a form fr0m scratch rather than use the EBS TEMPLATE.fmb. The second biggest mistake is to not attach all of the necessary libraries. I suggest you take a look at the Oracle Applications Documentation library. Select your EBS version and then scroll to the Standards section and review the following documents:

Form window not printed

Hi, I'm working on a form in transaction SE71. I used graphical form painter and created a new form window. In "edit text" I copied the code from another window. The code just prints a logo and some text. The point was just to see that the new window will be printed (it's an invoice template), but that was not the case. I did activate the form after modification. Should I perform some particular action to make the new window visible when printing the invoice?

I copied the window on the same page on which the original one is located. I used the graphical form painter so I can see the window dimensions. When I click on the "window" tab of "page layout" in SE71 I can see the margins and dimensions of the new window and it looks OK to me (I don't see any additional parameters to define here).

Not sure if you got a fix for this or not yet, but the easy way is to create multiple user parameters entry boxes, kinda like p_item, p_item1, p_item2 and then in the SQL, ITEM=p_item or ITEM=p_item1 etc.

Form "window" Menu changed after Migration

I have migrated form 6i to 10g.After migration the forms WINDOW menu contain a menu item (which is a radio button ) called FILLER_WINDOW.
Client wants to disable this menu item.
Can i disable it?

It's probably important to know that although you can command the forms_mdi window to maximize, it won't actually "maximize". It will remain in the "normal"state. This is a current limiation that can likely only be overcome with a custom java bean.

Forms window wont close

Hey guys. I keep on running into this problem with forms windows not closing consistently. Sometimes it closes and sometimes i have to minimize, then close or minimize, re-open and close. And sometimes I can just wait for a little bit and close the window...
The application is ran by a form which serves as a menu and opens other forms. Im on forms version 10g, and database 9i... anyone ran into this problem before?

Don't know if it's related, but if you close Firefox it tries to shutdown the Forms applet nicely and thus shutting down can take a couple of seconds if a lot is going on in the exit-form, etc.
Internet Explorer does not do this and just kills the JVM. That leads to idle sessions on the application server that will eventually be removed when the server discovers they are idle.
Perhaps there is something going wrong in the shutdown code when using Firefox. You could have to try and see what is causing this. Perhaps start removing triggers from the Form that might fire when closing the form (validation, etc.)
PS. Are you sure you are using JInitiator in combination with Firefox. As far as I know that's a rare combination and most Firefox users will use Sun JVM. Also be sure that you require a rather new version of JInitiator and patchset 2 of Forms (10.1.2.2.0) to be certified to run JInitiator with Firefox. Forms window closing after reconnecting sniped session

The user accounts in our Oracle database are set up with profiles such that their sessions are terminated after 60 minutes of idle time. However, our Forms application allows users to reconnect to the database if the session has timed out in this way.
After reconnecting, my Forms window closes abnormally, and I have to return to my browser window to start a new Forms session. The closing of the Forms window does not necessarily happen immediately - it seems to happen only if I navigate to a certain form (the application's main menu). If I happen to be on a different form when I reconnect, I can query and update data, and navigate to other forms, but once I navigate back to the main menu form, the session is abnormally terminated.
No error messages are produced anywhere when this happens (at least not where I've looked thus far :) I have searched the forms server, the database server, and the client computer.
I have brought up the issue with the vendor who developed the application, but I was wondering if this issue rang any bells with anyone here.

are you saying that the Browser window is closed when this happens ? In this case I would assume something else than Forms to cause this issue - maybe some custom code that calls JavaScript to close the window on exit. Forms usually errors with a JavaException that you can see in the JInitiator console (assuming Forms running on the web). Have a look and if there is nothing in there, bug the vendor to look into this.
