Sequence number in process order

Hi,
Kindly brief about usage of sequence number, which is in process order with example. Is this can be used for capacity leveling. If so how that can be done.
If one sequence number is assigned to multiple process orders means double entries, then what is the impact during capacity leveling based sequence number.
Is number range is maintained any where in SPRO for sequence number. If so where? Is there any possibility to maintain number range for sequence number if required?
Thanks & Regards,
N. Laxman

1.Seq. number in an order
Number that can be assigned to production orders or planned orders at the level of the task list header and is therefore valid for all the operations in an order.
The sequence number is used to  sort the orders for the display on the planning table and to
form a dispatching sequence using the sort key.

  • Confirmation number sequence in the process order

    Hi,
    When we create a process order , system assigns the confirmation no for each of the operation & these confirmation numbers are in sequence.
    In our case we have activity numbers in the recipe as 0010, 0020, 0030, 0040, 0050, 0060...... Subsequently we have inserted operations..now the sequence has become 0010, 0020, 0030, 0040, 0041, 0042, 0050, 0060...... Now when we create the process order, the confirmation numbers for operations 0041, 0042 comes after 0060. We have a development which has a pre-requisite that the sequence of confirmation no's should be as per sequence of operations.
    Any idea how to achieve the correct sequence of confirmation no's?
    regards,
    Mohit

    Dear Mohit,
    I have find the route cause BUT I Don't know how to fix it
    Based on Operation ID, system is creating a confirmation No
    Since you have created a operation 41 and 42,  System gives the operation ID next to 60
    Thats the reason system is giving the confirmation No after 60
    I don't know how To add operation ID in routing

  • Changing material number when Process Order is released

    Hello,
    We have a scenario in which the material number of a process order may need to be changed after the process order is released.  We will have both in process and post production inspection types assigned to this order, and both inspection lots are created at process order release.  We also will have a batch number created at process order release.
    When recording test results in the inspection lot before a process order has been confirmed, the users may identify that the material number should be different.  We would like a way to be able to either change the material number in the process order (and inspection lots).  We know this involves a lot of updates (master data changes to the existing process order and inspection lots).  Currently, there is no way to transfer information to a new material number without receiving product in and performing a usage decision in the post production inspection lot to transfer to a new material number.
    The client has implemented all modules, except PP (which we are in the process of now).  We know that Variant Configuration would have been the right solution for this, but this is not an option since MM is already implemented.
    If you have any suggestions, please reply.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Prasobh,
    The exact scenario is as follows:
    1. A semi finished good will be used as a component to produce the finished good.
    2. This semi finished good will have treatments added to it, and quality inspection will be performed as treatments are added.
    3. Inspections will occur several times as treatments are added.  If during one of these inspections, material is out of spec, and the blend should be transferred to another material number, we need to be able to change to another material number.  To have a customization where material number is changed in all of the relevant PP and QM tables seems risky.
    This is why we can't really use material classification.  We also do not have the option to use VC bc the MM module is already implemented.
    Thanks.

  • Capacity Leveling in CM25 by Sequence Number in Planned Order

    Hello Gurus,
    I am having an issue with dispatching planned orders using tabular form.  We have to use the tabular form in order to be able to have our program select all planned orders.
    I have been testing and testing this trying to get it to work.  We have sequence numbers defined for our planned orders in the PLAF-SEQNR field.  When entering CM25, we are wanting to dispatch all of our planned orders at once and have them dispatched in the correct order by sequence number.  I have the Strategy Profile defined for Finite Scheduling, Plan. direction forwards, and no closing of gaps.  and I have my Dispatch Sequence layout key defined to only use the Sequence Number in the Planned Orders.
    We need to use the tabular form so we can select all planned orders.  I set up the requirements grouping to only include planned orders that are not yet dispatched.
    When I use the graphical form instead of tabular and I manually highlight all of the planned orders and dispatch then they are all in the correct order with all of the gaps are closed...which is what i want.
    However, I need to be able to do this using the tablular form.  No matter how I try to set up the strategy profile, it doesnt seem to work using tabular form.  They are dispatched according to start date with gaps in between the orders.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    I also have the following defined in Strategy Profile for Dispatching Control:
    Sort operation to be dispatched
    Consider operation sequence in the order
    Midpoint scheduling
    Thank you.

  • How can get batch number in process order?(T-code: COR1, COR2)

    Please tell me step by step process it will be better to me the solve my issue.
    When End-user uses alread existed batch number,
    Pop-up Message,
    "Your batch number is already exist.
    Are you creating new batch number?"
    If the answer is "No",
    System still uses that batch number.
    And User-Exits, or bodies don't exist this time.
    How can I get this batch number When saving in process order?
    I uses User-Exits "SAPLV1ZE" in Batch Number Check,
    "PPCO0007" and "PPCO0001" in saving process order.
    I know "PPCO0001" has all information about process order,
    but I can't get batch number to "PPCO0007" From "PPCO0001" by using Memory ID.
    Cause PPCO0007 happens before PPCO0001.
    (ref. PPCO0007 can stop saving in process order.)
    I want to know how can I get batch number when pop-up message's answer is "No".
    I have to send this batch number  to PPCO0007 by using Memory ID.
    Please, help me.

    Dear,
    Could you please clear your requirement in brief?
    You don't want to use the existing batch number or want to assign external batch number or want unique batch number?
    Use SAPLV1ZE and EXIT_SAPLV01Z_003 where you can replace the proposed number range with external interval defined by yourself.Also using EXIT_SAPLV01Z_004 you can define your own checking rule.
    Further information can be obtained from the documentation on the enhancements

  • Sales order number in process order

    Hello gurus,
    Is it not possible to have  a particular sales order consume a PIR  and have that sales order number reflected in the process order (The process ord which is converted from the plnd order which is a result of MRP run after sales order consumes PIR)...
    Thanks and regards

    Dear,
    If your material has strategy type as MTS then its not possible to allocate the PIR to a particular Sales Order in the Process Order, Sales Order can be included in planning by combining strategies but having a link is quite difficult.

    hi kumar
    that inspection lot no is assigned to process order when you have maintained inspection type 03 ie inprocess check in material master . when you release process order you can see inspection lot is generated and that inpsection lot no you can on that field.

  • Get Outbound delivery No. for Process Order

    Hi,
    I need to track <b>Outbound delivery number from process order number</b>. In Process order transaction (COR3) i couln't see delivery number anywhere. Also i tried querying LIPS table with order number , but this takes huge time .
    I could see the process order number under 'financial processing' tab inside outbound delivery(VL03N) at item details level.
    Any transaction or table where i could trace outbound delivery number from process order number directly?(<b>Table is preferred solution</b>).
    Please guide.
    Thanks in advance.

  • I have Problem in Process Order ,

    Dear , I have Problem in Process Order ,
    See we have Numbe of process order , that status is REL CRCR DLV PRC CSER BCRQ BRRQ GMPS*
    Now i want to Mass TECO all order , but i can not TECO because status should be CRFI ,
    So
    1) how can i change staus all order at once to CRFi?
    2) Can i do the TECO in staus CRCR ?
    3) Any other solution
    REGARD
    SAP

    Hi,
            It is NOT possible to do the process order TECO with the status CRCR , this has to be changed to CRFI
    you can change the status to CRFI  from CRCR in the following way
    1) go to CO54 -T-code
    enter the plant & Date range
    enter the process message category PI_CRST ( sap std) or relevent category defined for you plant
    select the to be sent option
    2) here you will get list of process messages related to control recipes, click on the SEND (ctrlshiftF12)
    process message will be processed & Control recipe status will be cahnged to CRFI for CRCR

  • Sequence Number in XI Mapping

    Hi All,
    I have scenario where a sequence number when mapping is done. Consider the example:
    In the source message I have one header and 10 line items in the message. The line item in the target message has a field called sequence number. When i map the source message to the target message each of the target line items hould have a sequence number in the order 1, 2, 3..10.
    How can this be done? Is there a feature in XI which lets us have a global variable which can be incremented for each line item or a java class which can generate new sequence number for each line item or something.
    I'm using message mapping. Java mapping is not used.
    Could you please help me?
    Thanks,
    Sandeep

    Hi Sandeep,
    u can follow these steps to generate a sequence no using global container.
    -> define a global variable by clicking the JAVA_SECTION_TOOLTIP icon on the design tab of source message type of ur message mapping.
    enter the following in the GlobalVariables Section
    Integer counter =0;
    -> define a user defined function (<b>SeqGen</b> let's say)
    write the following code in it.
    Integer seq = 0;
    GlobalContainer globalContainer = container.getGlobalContainer();
    a = globalContainer.getParameter("counter");
    seq = globalContainer.getParameter("counter");
    seq = seq + 1;
    globalContainer.setParameter("counter",seq);
    return a;
    now use this user defined function (SeqGen)in all ur mappings to the sequence no of ur line items.
    Hope this helps.

  • Deleting operations in master recipe of process orders

    Dear Guru's,
           I want to delete the operations in master recipe of process orders. The operation numbers are different in different process orders. This activity has to be performed on bit large number of process orders. Can anyone help me in providing the process for doing this activity in mass. Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Kalyan

    Dear Kalyan,
    Why do you want to delete the operations(basically phases)at process order level?
    If it's really required to execute the Shop floor activties and if the order numbers is huge in number means then in my
    understanding only a LSMW/BDC can help you,but technically I'm concerned about selecting the operation/phases for deletion
    by passing on the confirmation number or operation number for a particular process order.
    If it would be the latest operation/phase for a product means then make the changes in the master recipe so that the same is
    getting copied into the process orders in the future.
    Check and correct me if I'm wrong.

    So can someone help me to find a way to update PLAF-SEQNR.
