Sequential message import for MDM inbound ports

Hello,
The scenario is as follows:
PI receives a complex message and split into two simple messages.
These two messages will be sent to two ports of the same repository and insert data into two main tables.
Since there is a lookup main field, one message must be processed by MDIS before the other one.
Would you please suggest an easy way to control this sequential import requirement?
Best regards,
Dale

Hi Dale,
This scenario can be achieved in PI as we can not schedule the inbound ports in MDM (Polling interval is a global attribute in MDIS.INI).
As you are using PI you will be creating two Different Communication Channels for achieving the split and posting it to MDM ports. you can leverage the Functionality  " Availablity Time Planning " in Run Time Work bench->Component Monitoring -> Communication Channel Monitoring, where you can schedule(ON/OFF) your communication channels on a specific time periods using the Availability Time as ON TIME from the drop down.
Please find some blogs and links for your reference.

  • MDM Inbound Port Not Processing Files

    Dear Experts,
I got an issue while processing file from Ready folder of a specific Inbound Port where files are not processed then i tried with another inbound port of the same repository there it is working fine. Can anybody please help me out to make it work.
    Thanks
    Ravi

    Hi Ravi,
Make sure the user ID that you are using for the auto imports in the mdis.ini file has sufficient rights for that particular port. If thats not there the file would not autoimport.
You could even try importing the file manually using import type as port. This will help you identify if there any problems in the file and its schema that you trying to import.
Also check if the port is set to automatic and the schema and map is maintained correctly.
Another thing that you could check in the console is the port status. If there is a file in the ready folder it must display has data. Or if a file in the exception folder it must then show blocked on exception if you have set that property to yes.
In cases when it does not show if afile present or not,you need to make sure the directory path mentioned in the mdis.ini file is correct. Also you would need to restart the importserver through the services and check again.
If nothing works try deleting the port and recreating it through the console.

    Aditya Dhurandhar.

  • Importing XI Content for MDM Business or MDM Business Content 5.5 SCV to IR

    Hi All,
I'm required to create a CRM->XI->MDM using the provided MDM 5.5 SP05 - Business Content - Business Partner in the. marketplace. From the pdf files that i have read, I understand that i would have to import SAP ABA 7.0, and MDM Business Content/XI Content MDM Business to use the interface objects, mappings and comm channel templates. I have two questions:
    1) Should I be importing the XI Content MDM Business or the MDM Business Content 5.5 SWCV to the IR?
    2) After importing the above SWCVs , all i get is an empty SWCV for Both MDM  Business Content and XI Content MDM Business with no pre-defined namespace and no object. SAP ABA 7.,0 SWCV however is working fine, with all pre-defined namespaces, and objects intact. How can i remedy the MDM Business Content/XI Content MDM Business SWCV?

    Hi Sushil,
While i'm not 100 per cent sure of about it, i'm fairly certain that there should be ( I might be wrong). Two documents in the sap service marketplace implies this:
In https://websmp204.sap-ag.de/installMDM under the "Installation" Header->MDM 5.5 SP05 - Business Content - Business Partner.zip, there's a pdf file in the zip folder there that states:
"The XI content for MDM delivers interfaces, interface mappings and communication channel templates tailored to the supported SAP remote systems
and the shipped MDM 5.5 SP05 repositories."
Under the same "Installation" header, there's the IT Scenario Configuration.pdf file. In the pdf file, under the "Setting up XI" section they indicated that as a pre-requisite:
"You have imported the XI content MDM Business 5.5 (XI 3.0) or MDM Business 5.5
7.00 (XI 7.0) to the Integration Repository.
This XI content delivers interfaces, interface mappings, and communication channel
templates tailored to the supported SAP remote systems and the shipped MDM
repositories. The included integration scenarios dramatically reduce the manual effort
required to define the message flow between MDM and the supported SAP remote
    systems."
Hence. that's why it leads me to believe that importing the SWCV into the IR "should" give me a pre-defined namespace with some objects available. Any advice on what i should do or did i misread it totally?

  • I have a belkin 7 adapter for additional USB slots for my Mac Pro. It was working well till just recently I am getting a message that says the usb port on the Mac Pro is shutting down due to a very high power drain. Then it shuts the usb port down.

I have a belkin 7 adapter for additional usb ports for my mac pro. It worked fine without problems till recently when the message regarding usb port drawing too much power and the computer shuts the port on the mac pro down. The strip comes with its own power supply adapter. The attachments are additional hard drives used as backups and independent data. Other than disconnecting it are there any fixes?

You're getting the message because you're exceeding the available current, probably as a result of bus-powered drives. The power sources for hubs are rather small. Try using drives with their own power supplies.

If I am able to switch them without losing data, I will, but am afraid to do so if there is a chance that any data will be erased. (I'm not sure if the photos, video, and -namely- texts are saved to the actual SIM card. Can text messages be backed up?
iPhone do not store anything on the sim.
Photos should be saved on computer like any other digital camera.
You can restore the backup for your dad as well as for yourself while swapping phones.

First, your AE needs to be updated. The current version is 12.2.1.5
If that does not fix the problem let us know.
Second question, are you using the Sony import utility? If not, give that a try. Last question, can you open the files in Premiere Pro? I hope you are not trying to cut a feature film in After Effects.

  • Import Trigger: MDM PI Adapter

    Dear All,
Can you please let me know if the Import gets triggered automatically (even if the inbound port is set as manual) after PI writes a file to "Ready Folder" using MDM PI Adapter?
    Thanks,
    Pooja

    Hi Aamir,
PI Adapter can never control MDIS.
Data Transfer from PI to MDM involves the following steps:
    1. Data sent from any connected system is stored within PIu2019s internal table.
    2. The XML message is forwarded to the MDM PI Adapter.
    3. The MDM JCA Adapter itself invokes the MDM Java API and sends message to MDM using MDIS port functions.
    4. These XML messages are sent to corresponding MDIS port folder so that MDIS can import the files independently.
    5. The Adapter updates the delivery status in PI monitoring.
    6. u201CFinished Import eventu201D is thrown by MDIS and caught by the MDM JCA Adapter.
    7. The import status is used to update PI monitoring accordingly.
The 6th point means, that the MDIS will send the acknowledgement which will be updated in the PI monitoring services.
This is the improvement done in PI introducing the adapter to have better monitoring.
It is never meant to and not supposed to control MDIS.
For the data to be imported automatically, then the port status should be set to automatic.
Also note that this acknowledgement from MDIS will not be sent to PI if the port is manual.
    Regards,
    Sravan

  • Maintain order at runtime not working for MDM in PI 7.31

    Hi All
I have and one outbound and 5 inbound interfaces all going to MDM system
first one is import and next 4 are webservice calls to MDM multiple times but the mapping changes for each.
So I kept 5 different operation mappings for 5 inbound interfaces and maintain order at runtime in receiver interfaces
The first one import if fails in MDM due to value exception or any exception, MDM PI adapter is not catching that and the other interfaces are executed
So the maintain order at runtime is not useful in my case. do we know why is this behaviour? can we make sure the import is successfully completed before the next interface execution using maintain order at runtime?
    thx
    mike

    Hi Mike,
I'm not sure if this is still relevant or even up to date. The MDM adapter is/was nothing more than the old file integration with enhanced audit log. So, unfortunately, it will tell you all about the import successes and errors in the audit log, but it will not change the message status accordingly. Regarding message status it still behaves as if it was a file receiver adapter stopping transaction at file system level. In my opinion, this is not very helpful, and scenarios like yours cannot be implemented using standard tools. You can't even use the standard monitor to check whether normal distributions worked. You'd have to check the audit log of every message. Or check the file system directly or read the MDM log, as before.
I hope they improved that in the meantime.

    Jörg

  • Region wise Repository for MDM ?

    Hi,
We are in Migration of CCM to MDM.
In CCM we have so many catalogs.
So we are creating 3 repostoteries in MDM based up on the region.
Can any pls let me know the how the supplier data can be replicated to MDM ?
    we dont have XI.
Please let me know is there any jobs to replicate.
    Regards

    Hello Venkatesh P
Import  manager and mdis help you.
You can configure integration between MDM and CCM without PI.
for data exchange you can use files
    1) export data from CCM to file
    2) put that file to inbound MDM directory
    3) configure mdis for automatic import

  • MDM Server Ports with Batch operations

    Hi,
how can i use MDM Server Ports what i define in ports table of my repository in MDM Console with ImportManagerBatch and especially with SyndicatorBatch? i use 5.5.24.06 SP2.

    Hi Dmitry,
My understanding is that ports are most useful if you are using XI MDPS (Master Data Processing Server?).  You define ports in the console.  Key thing to remember a port works if you attach it to a client system that is defined as inbound/outbound; does not work if the client system being associated is just inbound or just outbound.  You define the file format under format setting.
In my case, since I do not use XI, I need to manually associate the location of my files to the regedit setting.  Only then, port setting can be selected on the import manager file definition.
I learnt how to define ports.  I use import manager batch and syndicator batch but I did not see an additional benefit of using ports with them.  For example, I have 70+ tables to load using import manager.  Most are based on Excel and XML file types.  SO, I have my ini files defined for each of the XMLs, and one for excel (it has several tabs) with source, destination, and file location information.  Then, I have a bat file with IMB commands associating each of ini files to a map/agency/language, etc.  And execute the bat file from command line.
May others in the forum who used ports with IMB or Syndicator batch can give more insights.
    Thanks
    Savi

  • Subscriber Message Import Cobras

Im having an issue with a few accounts.  I have about 800-900 accounts to import.  Everything is going fine, but a few are failing on message imports.  Im not sure if its because im doing too many at once or what.   I can select 3 for testing and they import their voicemails fine.  But then it will pop a message with 5 retries, check antivirus, or smtp configs on the CUC server.   I know SMTP is working because I can telnet to port 25 from the COBRAS workstation to CUC and get the telnet responses.  I can import a few accounts messages, no issues.   Is there some sort of bug with this on the number of ussers at once?  Or should I be doing these in batches of uses for messages?
    Thanks!
