Serial # error

I get the following message:
"This serial number is not for a qualifying product.  Please try another."
Please help!

Adobe Reader does not have a serial number, so I guess you are trying to install Acrobat.
This is where you enter the serial number of the product you quoted when you purchased an upgrade. For instance, if you purchased an Acrobat Pro XI upgrade you could choose "Acrobat Pro X" as your qualifying product, so you would enter the serial number from Acrobat Pro X. It is not asking for the new serial number you just purchased, but the old one. Be sure to keep the qualifying number safe, you will need it always.

  • CS2 on new vista 64bit serial # error

im tryn to install my cs2 on a new computer that has vista. my install went fine but when i open up one of my cs2 programs it says invalid or missing info ei. serial # username etc... please help how can i make my cs2 work in vista thanks [email protected]

God bless you Chris Mitchener. I had the exact same problem you did after installing CS2 on my new Dell with Vista 64. Whenever I tried to open an Adobe program, I'd get an invalid or missing serial number error and the program would close. Following your advice, I uninstalled and then reinstalled CS2 and when it asked whether to install in the "Adobe (x86)" folder I deleted the ( and ) characters and then it worked, or at least it seems to have worked. I never would have thought to do this if it weren't for you. I wonder how many others are having this exact same problem.
    Thanks a million,

  • Weird XP errors ever since I installed LabVIEW 2012

    Greetings NI,
My original problem was a Sentinel Protection Installer conflict - see http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/LabVIEW-and-Sentinel-Protection-Installer-clashes/m-p/2267724 and http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/F852A8CFA4A8CABE862571C00068EF7C?OpenDocument.
Now, I did the fix for LabVIEW 2009 and later, no problems there. But now I am getting an XP error noise (the 2 piano notes) after I log in after I implemented the Sentinel fix. If I don't log in immediately, say 30 seconds - 1 minute, I get a "beep" from the machine, not XP. But if I log in when the start screen comes up where I have to enter my password, we're good.
        I also notice after I shut down I get a "lktsrv.exe" error - similar to this post - http://forums.ni.com/t5/Instrument-Control-GPIB-Serial/Error-msgs-upon-Windows-XP-shutdown-lktsrv-ex...
Any suggestions? I've never had these noises before and can only attribute it to the LabVIEW install.
       Thanks!

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hello LT,
Thank you for posting on our forums as well as providing us with background information on your issue. These XP "error noises" could possibly be related to several services (lktsrv.exe for example) that are attempting to start upon boot up of your Windows XP machine. To remove this error, try and set your services to startup after your system boots up, and only when they are actually needed. You can do so manually by following the information on this KnowledgeBase article.

  • Aperture v3.1 Serial not Valid

    Hi all,
I'm trying to re-install Aperture 3.1 onto a new machine and running into an 'invalid serial' error.
My pathway to Aperture 3.1 has been:
I had a licensed version of Aperture 2 > bought an upgrade license for Aperture 3.0
Now, when I'm trying to use my upgrade serial number on a fresh install of Aperture 3.1 it's telling me that the number isn't valid!
I tried calling Apple US support but I'm based in the UK, and I'm guessing my accent isn't working on their voice recognition system. Can anyone help? I've tried trash the ProApps folder, and the prefs file and nothing seems to work. And I'm not even sure how to contact Apple directly on this one, as they don't take email queries(!).
    Thanks,
    Stephen

Thanks for the suggestions. Have only just returned to my laptop and tried them. Unfortunately I can't roll back using Time Machine due to my newly-upgraded OS.
Have tried to remove all traces and reinstall but I'm not having much luck as yet...
    Thanks again...
    Okay,
Here are a couple more links:
    1 - http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3231
    2 - http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3519
You said in the opening comment that you trashed the ProApps folder, so link #1 may be a dead end.
Note - trashing the whole folder also removes 'Internal Plug-Ins' folder which houses the browser kit files for iLife and FileSystem. I know the 'iLife.bkplugin' folder is created by the iLife update offered by Software Update. I also know that the 'FileSystem.bkplugin' folder is created by the Aperture installer. I am not sure what impact this may have on an upgrade attempt.
Link #2 has to do with a file named 'com.apple.aelwriter.plist' in the '/Library/LaunchDaemons' folder (which is installed by the Aperture installer). Other than launching at startup, I am not sure what this file does, but I would guess it is a licensing function of some sort.
Other than those ideas, I am not sure what path to offer other than to perform a clean install of OS, which is probably not needed if the correct files can be identified for either removal or perhaps replacement if they can be copied over from the Time Machine backup.
Hopefully others will offer some solutions.

  • Problem during creating delivery from PO in intra-co stock transport

    Hi All,
during the intra co stock transport process between 2 company codes after the PO is saved as the 1st step of the process,im trying to create a delivery wrt the PO in the transaction code VL10B.
this is giving the following errors
1.documet is incomplete:u cannot save the delivery
    2.serial number reqt.not satisfied (V50UC-SERIAL),error group:L1
immediate help on this issues will be appreciable.
    thanx
    vishal degaonkar

to add more information bout the problem.....
we've assigned serial no's during delivery creation which is done manually.as the delivery creation process in VL10B is in the background it is not picking up the serial no's and hence the incompletion error.
is there any other method to create deliveries from purchase orders???

  • CS2 Is Not Activating Properly

Yesterday, I got a new Gateway computer with Vista, an Intel Quad Core, and 6 RAM. For some reason, even after I activate the software, the programs keep saying that the serial number isn't valid. I tried re-installing it twice, and it still doesn't work. When I enter the same number into InDesign, it keeps telling me it's invalid, and Acrobat and Photoshop won't even start. I know I've been typing the SN correctly since I keep checking it whenever I enter it in and it's definitely not a pirated copy. It also worked fine on my old Dell that runs XP, and whenever I try to uninstall the thing, it goes to deactivate the serial number on the internet. Any thoughts?

I had the same problem with CS2 and XP (though my 'not valid serial' error appeared out of the blue a long time after installing).
I just bought a new computer running Vista 64-bit and I got that error message the first time I tried to run the Adobe programs.
I applied the same fix to Vista as I did to XP and I am now able to run the programs without the error.
b Here is the fix I found in the Tech Notes that worked with XP and Vista:

    >Issue
    >When you start any Adobe Creative Suite 2.0 application on Windows XP x64 Edition, the application returns the error message, "Your user name, organization, or serial number is missing or invalid. The application cannot continue and must now exit."
    >Solution: Remove Adobe Creative Suite, and then reinstall it to a modified installation path.
    >Use the Add Or Remove Programs utility to remove Adobe Creative Suite. Make sure to remove all folders and registry entries. To delete folders or registry entries that remain after you use the Add Or Remove Programs utility, follow the manual removal instructions in document 319474 , "Manually remove Adobe Creative Suite (2.0 on Windows XP Professional x64)."
    >When you reinstall Adobe Creative Suite, edit the installation path, and then install the application files to that folder.
    >1. In the installer wizard, type C:\Progra~2\Adobe for the installation path. Your Adobe Creative Suite applications will be installed to Program Files (x86)\Adobe.
    >2. Resume the installation.
    Hope this helps = ]

  • Lightroom 5 re~install

I had a problem during the setup on Lightroom 5 and needed to remove the installation.
I have the serial number but starting over at www.adobe.com/go/getserial does not help.
Anyone have the link to download Lightroom 5?

    Hi Dean,
Make sure that you download the Lightroom 5.3 and higher to install. This corrects any serial # errors
Windows Adobe - Lightroom : For Windows : Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.3
Mac Adobe - Lightroom : For Macintosh : Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.3
    Thanks

Sorry for the late. Yes it found recovery errors and yet not starting please help me
What is the error message (exactly as possible) that you are seeing when it turns on?  What you are describing sounds like hard disk failure, but will not no for sure until more informatoin is posted.
Please list the following - as much detail as possible:
    Machine Model (not serial)
Error codes, warning or other messages
Will machine boot into safe mode
    Thanks in advance.
