Serial # invalid
I received an Adobe error message saying that I needed to uninstall then re-install my Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. When I went to re-install it said my serial number was invalid. This is the same serial # I used when I bought this software initially and it's marked on the outside of the CD case.
What do I need to do to re-install and get around this problem?

Initial troubleshooting you need to do:
1. Check if the name and the version on the activation window is correct. If you try to activate Acrobat Standard using the serial number of Acrobat Pro, it wouldn't work.
2. Check if you are using the correct serial number. (There could be a typo in the serial number)
3. Check the platform that you are installing on. You may have purchased Mac and installing on Windows..
4. On the same activation window, you will have another option called "I have a different serial number". Select this option and enter the same serial number again.
5. Check if you are logged on as an Admin.
6. If on Windows 7, navigate to "C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files" and right click on Adobe folder and select properties. Check if the Read only option is "Unchecked".

I just bought a new laptop (Win 8.1) and after installing the program it won't accept the serial #. It says it's invalid.

Reinstalling, serial "Invalid," Windows 7 sticker faded
I have an HP CQ60-615DX with Windows 7 Home (64 Bit) pre-installed.
My computer was running increasingly slowly so I uninstalled and attempted to reinstall ran into a roadblock with the serial number.
The 25 digit number on the back of my computer was not the serial or is now invalid. The number was not on the "Windows 7" sticker, but was underneath the battery. If there was a serial number on the Windows 7 sticker, it is no longer legible. The only readable lines on the sticker are a barcode, the software version, and a ###### ### formatted code.
Is it possible to retrieve a working serial from the visible information or tmy laptop's serial number? My computer is currently unusable. Please help if possible, thank you.I'm not sure that this is what you have done but if not try it:

Serial Invalid when updating.
I installed ARD 3.0 on my mac mini with OS X server 10.6.3. I input the serial number and it was accepted. I then updated the program to ARD 3.1 and then to 3.2. I used the update service to update all the software on the server and the next update is ARD 3.3.2. When I update the ARD 3.2 to 3.3.2, when I run the program, it tells me that the serial is not valid. What could be the problem?

I can't seem to figure out why my serial is invalid. I've only installed Logic Pro 9 on one previous machine and just bought a new one to upgrade. Can anyone help?
1) Check you are entering the serial correctly.... Zeros or O for example
2) Did you buy the upgrade version of Logic Pro 9 /Logic Studio 2? If so you need to enter the original full Version of Logic Pro 8 /Logic Studio 1 serial first....
3) Failing both of those.. contact Apple and get a replacement serial number....

CS5 Design premium, serial invalid for this product, however this is the right serial
I have pulled from the registry the serial for CS5.5 Design Premium, and deactivated it, afterwads uninstalled it and now trying to reisntall and it says it is invalid however this is the working serial

I bought a package with 2 DVD contains Photoshop elements 12 and Premiere elements 12 and has 4 serial numbers, supposedly you can install both MAC and WIN. I've only been able to install on MAC using 2 of these licenses, the other 2 do not work on MAC, says they are not valid. Should work 4 MAC ?. o Is that takes 2 licenses for 2 for MAC and WIN ?. other

De momento no dispongo de ningun ordenador WIN que reuna los requisitos minimos para hacer la prueba de su instalacion, espero hacerlo en corto tiempo, aunque no con la intencion de trabajar con él.

Please double check what is written on the installation disc label. One should read

Adobe is probably the only one who can sort out your situation. But, here is my guess...
for some reason, you were given a serial number for each of the 4 possibilities

Adobe Premiere Elements 12 on Mac
Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 on Windows
Adobe Premiere Elements 12 on Mac
You have probably found the serial numbers and are using those for Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 on Mac and Adobe Premiere Elements 12 on Mac.
The other 2 serial numbers are probably for Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 on Windows and Adobe Premiere Elements 12 on Windows and will never work
on a Mac system.
If my guess is correct and you found and used Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 on Mac and Adobe Premiere Elements 12 on Mac for a successful install
on one of your Mac computers, you should have no problems installing these programs on your other Mac computer using the same set of serial numbers that
you just used successfully on Mac computer 1. Have you tried that? But, remember that Adobe allows you only to use the purchased activated serial number on no more than 2 of your computers. And, you should not use the programs on the 2 computers at the same time.

Lenovo G505s motherboard-invalid
Hi all
I have some problems with my G505s laptop after i took it in service for CPU temperature too high(till now i had it 3 times in service).
now i have problems with the motherboard: product- invalid, serial- invalid. Also the laptop works very low and it gets stuck, and the DVD-RW doesn't read all the DVD/ CD- for example the one i have with the drivers- definitely cannot compare it with the first time i had it before sending it to be repaired.

Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
Ideally, after replacing the motherboard, the DMI configuration (like the serial number) is updated using a DOS based utility (this is usually done by the tech. who serviced the unit).
If you're seing options like motherboard - invalid / serial number - invalid in the BIOS then it's likely that the DMI was not updated. If you have sent the system to an authorized lenovo service center, I recommend you contact them to get these information updated.
As for the machine working low and gets stucked, do you mean you're noticing slow performance and freezing issues? if yes, try the following:
1. Set the power settings to High Performance
2. Boot the the system in Safe Mode. If everything goes well, perform a clean boot and observe in normal mode (this temporarily disables non-microsoft apps that are running in the background that might be causing the slow performance).
As for the DVD drive not reading any CD/DVD, is the drive detected under Device Manager but not present under Windows Explorer? If yes, check this microsoft fix.

K330 Motherboard replaced but need help.
I got the motherboard replaced from the recall. But the problem is the tech did not put in the Model # and serial on the motherboard. Is there any motherboard manuals that might tell me if the specs have been upgraded etc??

Scanning direct from CS5 is a nightmare
you may have read my previous post about CS5 not Scanning with my epson 10000XL Scanner.
now my registerd silverfast for my epson V700 will not work either.
and to add insult to injury, the 'lovery folk' at silverfast have now made my serial invalid, as latest attempt to re install my legal silverfast AI ( for which I have also paid good money) comes up with an invalid serial number, even though I have paid for it.
now you know the sort of people you are dealing with there...
but that does not help me with my problem that now neither my Epson 10000XL nor my V700 scanner work with CS5...
and now my V700 wont work with silverfast...
I would liek my money back on them all, and I will happily go back to CS4 which did work... and leave there programmers to sort out their mess.
I will never upgrade again.

Hon. LM. AIPP.I think you need to draw breath and step back from this a little before you take steps to solve the problems.
1 Scanning into PhotoShop with plug-ins is not necessarily the best thing to do. Over more than twenty years of working with scanners on Macs, I have experienced various issues of one kind or another with clients trying to do this. The usual problem is that there is a difference in ages and versions of the plug-ins and the items of manufacturers' scanning software and third-party software being used and this can lead to all sorts of irritating problems. Manufacturers are not necessarily especially quick off the blocks to update these, especially with older discontinued pieces of kit like the 10000XL.
2 Although it is convenient to scan directly into PhotoShop, it is not a matter of life and death and I frequently opt to scan to disk and then manipulate the resulting images later. I have scanned thousands of images using this technique and find no difficulty with it.
3 In many people's view, Silverfast is the best third-party scanning software on the market bar none. It is used by both amateurs and professionals worldwide and the support is excellent. I very much doubt that your serial number has been made invalid. Are you sure you are using the correct serial number for the version you are trying to activate? You may have more than one as you say you have two scanners. Have you contacted their technical support to try to resolve this? I have usually got a response within an hour when I have needed to contact them.
4 It sounds like you may be trying to use two scanners on the same computer, which in itself may cause problems as there will be different versions of the software, drivers and plug-ins which will make matters complicated. One scanner only per machine is the best rule, although with care and experience the rule can be broken.
5 I suggest that you start by uninstalling all traces of all of the software, drivers and plug-ins for the scanners to get a clean base to start from. Especially ensure that you remove any Epson or Silverfast (Epson) plug-ins from the Adobe Photoshop > Plug-ins > Import-Export folder.
6 Ensure that you have updated the operating system (you don't say which version you are using . . . the more information you give when asking for help, the more people will be to help you) and that you have updated the CS5 Suite with all available updates. Re-start the Mac after doing the updates and although it is not absolutely necessary, Repair Permissions.
7 Most scanners require their own native software to be installed before they will work correctly with a third-party application such as Silverfast. Choose which scanner (one only) you wish to use, go to the Epson web site and download the latest version of the drivers and software for that machine and install it.
8 Make sure that the chosen scanner will work correctly with Epson Scan.
9 Finally, tackle the issue with Silverfast. Make sure that you select the correct version for the scanner you have elected to use; they are not interchangeable.
10 Make sure the scanner is running; if you are using a FireWire connection, it may be necessary to start the scanner and allow it to establish before starting the Mac. Now launch Silverfast, but don't try to launch it via PhotoShop. Use the Silverfast Launcher and once it has launched, update it to the latest version by clicking on the i symbol at the top edge of the scan frame. Follow the instructions on updating explicitly!
11 Now test and see what works. If you can scan correctly from Silverfast launched from the Silverfast Launcher, then you are nearly there. You may find that Silverfast will now work via PhotoShop.

I need to install Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 on my new computer in place of my old one. However, when trying to use the original installation disk, the serial number I enter comes up as 'invalid'. Is this because I've already used it once? If so, is there any way to still install Photoshop Elements 10 for the second time?

Any help would be appreciated.CS2 is very old and reached its "end of life" a while back. So probably won't run on modern operating systems. If you can still run it, you'll need to uninstall what you have and re-install with the download link below to activate it.

I downloaded the design and web premium, and entered a serial code to start it as the full version. However, after the install, it asked me for my serial code again. I entered it, and it didn't work. I tried registering my serial code on the adobe site, and it says it's invalid. My school gave it to me last year and it worked fine on my old computer. In that time, creative cloud came out and trials stopped being available as they were before. How I got it before was installing the trial, then activating it with my code. I have a PC and am running windows 7. My laptop is old and really just not up for the games I play or designing anymore, so I built a desktop. Successfully deactivated it, why can't I get it on my new computer? I am able to open the software as a trial, but I want to activate it. The error message I get in-program is "this serial number is not valid for adobe indesign/photoshop/illustrator CC 2014." Any suggestions?
if you're being asked for two serial numbers, you're probably using an upgrade serial number at the first prompt and the second prompt is probably for the serial number of a previous version.
