Serial number authorization check

Hello!
I want to create an authorization check for serial number creation tcode IQ01.
So when a user selects a material that he is not authorized to, he will not be able to enter into the screen of sn creation.
Can i customize iq01 in order it to open automatically the general tab of equipment view???

You have to configure the serial number profile & assign it to Material master. In the configuration profile of serial number, you have to check the check box for serial number required for processing & set the Goods movement transaction where you want to automatically create the serial number or create the serial number for the material using Tcode IQ01.
During Serial Number profile in Serializing Procedure you have to maintained the following settings:
MMSL - Maintain goods receipt and issue doc. 03 02
SDLS - Maintain delivery 03 02
SDRE - Maintain returns delivery 03 02
In Serialization profile, there is an checkbox for (Existing required) uncheck that check box & then test your transaction. You will get an button "Create new in serial number" in selection screen during goods receipts...Create new serial number for material there & then make goods receipt.

Can't enter serial number to check if battery is faulty

HI,
I need some help with my iPod nano 1st gen. I'm trying to see if it has a faulty battery. I don't think it has, but I'd like to sell it. I found the replacement program on the apple website, and entered the serial number to check it.
The next page didn't display, so I refreshed the page and was taken back to where you enter the serial number again. I did it again, but this time it said that this particular iPod has already been checked, and didnt give me any information regarding the battery.
The iPod was new when bought, so I must have messed it up when I refreshed the page. Can anywho who knows about tech things help me out?! I've tried contacting apple support but I can't find an address to email them on, or a live support chat.

Serial Number Stock Check at the time of Delivery

Sales Order PR(Purchase Order) GR( New Serial Numbers are created automatically or manually keyed in)
Once the Goods Receipt is received, we do the (SO) DELIVERYu2014SERIAL NUMBER ASSIGNMENT Post Goods Issue
Issue:
Current Serial Number Profile Management does not do a valid serial number check during DELIVERY CREATION where we do a SERIAL NUMBER ASSIGNMENT.
Only during POST GOODS ISSUE, the check happens for valid serial numbers; this is too late in the game for business as there is a time lag of 3 days from the DELIVERY CREATION and PGI.
Reason being--- We donu2019t check the following u201C Existing Stock Checku201D( which does a serial number validation during delivery creation as well)
SPRO>Plant Maintenance and Customer Service>Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service>Technical Objects>Serial Number Management>Define Serial Number Profiles
If we check this option, the business requirement to do a valid serial number check does happen during delivery creation, however we cannot create new serial numbers during Purchase Order- GOODS RECEIPT.
QUESTION:
Can we have the system check the valid serial numbers from stock during delivery creation and serial number assignment.
And Also create new serial numbers during Purchase Order- Goods Receipt.

Thanks for the reply. This field is having the value the count of serial numbers entered irrespective of the valid serial numbers entered. I created two delivery document, one with serial number which was not there in the stock and the other with a valid serial number. For both the delivery document LIPS-ANZSN gives the count of serial number which I have entered.
Please let me know how can I move further.

Material; Serial Number profile check

Dear All.
We've recently upgraded from ECC 5.0 to ECC 6.0.
In 5.0 we used to receive a warning message if someone tried to create a serial number for a material which did have a serial number profile. The message was "Material not allocated a Serial Number Profile".
It was only a warning message, but was still helpful.
Now in 6.0 we're not getting that message. SAP is letting us create the serial number even though no profile has been assigned in the material master.
Does anyone know if there's been a change made between 5.0 and 6.0?
If this is configurable?

Ecc 6.0 also if you are not assign serial number profile it will give warning message.

Can't enter Magic Mouse serial number to check warranty?

I've got a wireless keyboard and mouse and wanted to check the exact warranty date's end. However, the field doesn't accept the complete serial number, and detects the shortened number as invalid (which is expected).
Any idea why it fails to verify it?

Apple does not maintain a database of peripheral devices. The warranty is for one year. If you have a problem, contact Apple.

I need to reinstall my Acrobat 9. Have a disc and serial number, but when I enter the number I am told it is not a valid serial number. Checked my registration for CS 5 and that is the number. Now what?

In trying to reinstall the Adobe Pro 9, I keep getting the message that I ado not have a valid serial number. But I am using the number Adobe shows as the number with which I registered the product. Need this program to work. Any advice?

If it's a CS5 number you need to install with your Creative Suite disks, NOT an Acrobat download.

Lost new serial number

I jsut came back from a vacation and I needed to re-liscence my Photoshop CC app. I came across the step where you need to validate my serial number. I lost my serail number so what should I do? is there a wayt o request a new serial number?

Sign out from Creative Cloud and sign in again using email ID using which you had purcahsed subscription:

Then launch CC apps which is asking for serial number and check.
Still asks for serial number check the hosts file for Adobe entries , if present remove it and try to activate.
1) Right click on the Finder icon on dock and select "Go-To Folder" option.
2) You will get a text box, type-in below mentioned command and then hit 'Return' key.

3) It will open the etc folder, please look for file named "hosts" and copy the same to Desktop screen.it
4)Double click on Hosts file , it will open it with TextEdit, If present Delete Adobe entries present inside Hosts file like 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com.......etc
5)Copy and paste the Hosts file back to "Etc" folder.
When asked Authenticate with your Mac password.
Make sure to select "Replace" option when prompted.
Then launch CC apps which is asking for serial number and check.

Apple says my serial number is not valid

Just bought a Macbook pro and when I enter serial number to check warranty, Apple says my serial number is invalid.

Either it's such a new product that it hasn't been entered into the database yet or you're typing one of the letters or numbers in incorrectly.
To fix it, you may want to register your product via the website or by calling in to AppleCare -- 1-800-APL-CARE so they can force it into the system.
You may also want to verify that the system serial number on the bottom of the system matches the one that you see by going to the Apple Menu--> About this Mac, then click twice on the 10.7 version number.

Lightroom 3 asks for serial number launching in non-admin account

The following information was provided by Carey Burgess (Adobe Employee):
Does Lightroom 3 launch and work fine in an admin account, but when you launch the application in a standard (i.e. non-admin) account it asks for a serial number?
If so, then it is likely due to a file permissions issue either in the original (admin) account or with the standard account.
(Although you need administrator access to install Lightroom, and you do need proper access permissions to your photos, you should be able to run Lightroom without issue in a standard user account.)
Lightroom 3 stores registration data (the serial number) in a file called Lightroom 3.0 Registration, which is stored by default in one of these locations:
    * Mac OS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom
    * Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Lightroom
    * Windows 7/Vista: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Lightroom
- Check for the registration file in the appropriate location for your system.
If the file does not exist in that location, then ensure you are logged in with the admin account (the one where Lightroom doesn't prompt for a serial number) and check the user-specific location instead:
    * Mac OS: /Users/YOUR USER NAME/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom
    * Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USER NAME\Application Data\Adobe\Lightroom
    * Windows 7/Vista: C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom
If the file exists in the user-specific location instead, then I would suggest that you ensure that you have quit Lightroom, and then move the registration file from the user location to the default system-wide location. Lightroom should now no longer prompt for serial number when you open it from a non-admin account.
If the registration file did (or now does) exist in the default system-wide location, but you are still being prompted to enter a serial number when opening Lightroom in a standard user account, then that account does not have sufficient access permission to the registration file.
To resolve this aspect, there are two possible solutions (the first being the recommended solution):
1. Change the access permissions on the Lightroom folder that contains the registration file to grant "Read" access for the standard user account. (You can do this for each account individually, or you can use a broader group like Everyone.)

Months ago, I had a routine clearout of old software boxes etc and chucked out my Lightroom 1.0 box. A couple of weeks ago I reinstalled Lion on my mac to find that I cannot register Lightroom. I have the 3.0 upgrade serial, the 2.0 upgrade serial, but the 1.0 was on the box..
I followed the instructions above to find the files in crashplan form before the fomat that hold the registration details. I have tried placing them in the location described, but it doesn't seem to work.
The serials (or something) are in the file, but given in the string that is difficult to decipher - and doesn't work in the registration screen, wrong size and a mix of letters and numbers rather than just numbers as my 3.0 serial is.
Any suggestions for what I could do? Could I send the strings in to Adobe to be deciphered? Perhaps move files around a bit more?

I need to link the material serial number with the batch number.
This link needs to be created in advance of the GRN.
Then at the time of goods receipt the processor can select the serial numbers relevent to specific batch number.

Aperture keeps asking for my name and serial number

Aperture keeps asking for my name and serial number, but only on one of my Macs. This is a new Mac that I restored from my old Mac. It made sense to have to put in the documentation the first time, but the program keeps asking for it. Any thoughts?

Be sure to enter the serial number, when you are logged in from an account with Administrator priveleges - otherwise the serial number cannot be stored.
Aperture is installed for all users on your mac, so the serial number is written to the system library, not the user library; this requires read/write access for administrators. Do you enter your serial number using an administrator account?
SInce you migrated your system from another mac, you still may have an older ProAppSystemID file or Aperture cannot write to the System Library.
To stop Aperture asking for the serial number, first check, if you still have an old file "ProAppsSystemID" in your System Library.
Quit Aperture.
Go to your MacintoshHD and open the folder "Library", then "Application Support", then "ProApps".
Remove the File "ProAppsSystemID" to the Desktop, if it exist and restart Aperture.
Reenter your serial number, hopefully for the last time.
Sometimes Aperture writes this file to a temporary directory, when it cannot write to the Library. If the above does not work, look at the temporary directory /tmp
Use the Finder's "Go" menu
Go > Got to folder and enter /tmp into the textfield. If you see ProAppsSystemID there, move it to its proper location in /Library/Application Support/ProApps.
Aperture must be running, and you will have to wait a few minutes to be seeing the file appearing the /tmp directory.

I loaded the student edition of Lightroom 5 on my PC, and am trying to convert everything to a MAC. Do I need to remove the Lightroom software from my PC to load Lightroom 5 to my MAC? I have the student teacher edition software.

no, you don't need to remove lr from your pc. you are allowed up to two concurrent installations of adobe software.
