Serial Number Confusion, No Record of Registered Products...

Hi,
I bought a new laptop yesterday and was hoping to re-install my Adobe Design & Web Premium CS6 Windows (BestBuy) but I have run into several disturbing delimmas:
1) The Serial Number. I originally purchased the package three years ago under an email address that I no longer have. So now whenever I go to the verification page, and it asks for the email I used (of which it sends the serial number to that email to further the process) I have no way of getting the serial number. So I asked an agent via chat to update my email, and he instead gave me a serial number. Everything seemed fine until I popped the CD back in and the "Provide a Serial Number" window came up. As I started to put the number in, I realized that it wouldn't input letters. Was I given a defunct serial number?
2) Then I logged into my product page and saw that my registered product is nowhere to be found, so I have no way of getting the correct serial number from there too. I don't understand what Adobe has done to this package I paid $600 for. Am I doomed to have to buy an entirely new product now?

    If you purchased it from Adobe, it is registered and that would prove ownership as well as the emaill they sent with the serial number.

    Sign in with the email and password that you bought it under.
    Click on the triangle next to your product and you will see the serial number assigned to you.
    You have a valid record and proof of ownership. Try again.

    Hello!
    I just purchased a new Windows 8 laptop on which I want to load my existing copy of CS6 (I have the CD). I deactivated it on my old computer and tried to load it on my new one.  I'm receiving the following error message:
    This serial number is not for a qualifying product. Please try another.
    The only CS6 in the list of products to choose from is Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended and prior versions.
    I verifed under my account on the adobe site that I had registered my copy of CS6.  I'm really not sure what else to do but at this point I'm lost without my Photoshop!!!

    HI together,
    I'm very annoyed about the fact that I payed for Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium 5 (EDU version) and now I'm not able to use it on my new Mac. The Support team (Chat) from Adobe told me several times that the product/serial or whatever was canceled but this doesn't help me to get the product working and I won't pay again for this software. So what's the reason for cancellation? I can't see reasons for this and I don't understand why Support team can't help me. Already found Error "The serial number is not valid for this product" | Creative Suite but this doesn't helped me.

    Maybe this is also useful... They told me I canceld this by myself which is not the truth. I had a Windows machine and used Creative Cloud as well but I only canceld the Cloud, not my Serial Number for Production Premium...
    So who is able to reactivate my Serial Number so that I'm able to use my product?

  • Upgrading to CS6 returns: "This serial number is not for a qualifying product"

    I have CS5 and have been using it for about 2 years. The Serial number for CS5 it is registered to my adobe id.
    So i decided to upgrade to CS6 today. I then registered that to my adobe id as well.
    When i open CS6 and enter my new serial number, it tells me:
    Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer
    Which is strange because CS5 is currently installed and running on this computer
    So it then prompts me to select a previous product that I own and enter the serial number for that. So I select CS5 and enter the serial number for my CS5 license.
    However, it then tells me: "This serial number is not for a qualifying product. Please try another"
    But it doesn't tell may any further details. I.e. Why is it not valid?

    Brazzers234 is the serial number for CS5 also an upgrade?  The upgrade process is looking for a full version serial number.  You can determine what type of serial number is registered under your account at http://www.adobe.com/.  For additional details please see Find your serial number quickly - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html.
    If you have verified that the CS5 serial number is a full version serial number or your previous full version serial number is still not accepted then please contact our support team directly at Contact Customer Care to verify the validity of the previous version serial number.

    I have tried unsuccessfully to register 6+ times
    I receive the message:
    The SN is not recognized (error statement= "The serial number is not for a qualifying product. Please try another")
    I have a total of about 5 sessions that amounts to about one hour trying to solve a problem, navigating your website, going into endless cycles, and have noticed there is no way to call a phone number to fix a problem.
    Is this the new Adobe Paradigm?
    It appears to be an administrative problem with Adobe

    The message means that you have an upgrade license. You just need to prove you are eligible by entering the serial number of the Acrobat 9 or X license that you have - that is the "qualifying" product. It is not asking you to enter the Acrobat XI license again, you already did that.

    First of all Creative Cloud ENT is an Enterprise volume serial number so it cannot be registered under retail account.
    There is different method for using CCE serial number, install and activating programs.
    Please refer the following help article on how to create serialized package for Enterprise customer.

    As you have already installed InDesign CC and Creative Cloud Desktop app then next you need to signed out from Creative Cloud first and
    create License File using Creative Cloud Packager.

    Run this license file on end user machine. it will fix the license issue.

  • CS6 Design Standard Serial Number is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found...?

    I am attempting to reinstall CS6 Design Standard after a computer upgrade, however the Application Manager won't take my serial number.  In particular, when I enter the serial number, I receive the following error message:
    Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer.
    When I enter the serial number for one of the products that should be eligible for the upgrade, I receive the error message:
    This serial number is not for a qualifying product.  Please try another.
    I've attempted this on a couple of machines with the same result.  I've also attempted to install CS6 Design Standard after installing numerous other products: CS5 Design Premium, CS5 Design Standard, CS3 Design Standard... and none of these were found as qualifying products.
    I'm attempting this on OS X 10.9.3, on numerous MacBook Pro configurations from the past four years.  It is plugged into the network, and the connection is active.  I haven't seen anything in Console that is related.
    Is there someone from Adobe that I can contact to get verification of this Serial Number, and what product it would be attached to?

    The Serial Number you have is a upgrade Serial Number from a older version.
    So when you try to install, you have to insert the Serial Number for CS6 Design Standard and on the next screen, you need to choose the old product from drop down list and enter the Serial Number for that.
    It is not necessary to install the old application before installing CS6 Design Standard , all you need is the Serial Number for the old version.
    If still you have issue, you can contact the support as mentioned by Steve.

    I purchased Lightroom on January 28th online and received a confirmation email (which I still have) but there is not a serial number listed in the email or on my account. I went back to make sure I didn't receive any emails with a serial number but there is none. Any help to recover where my serial number is would be appreciated.

    The Products area can take some time to load after the page comes up so wait a minute or two and/or try a new browser in case there's something wrong with the JavaScript that serves the page.  This is a user-to-user forum so there's nothing we can do as users other than give you a hint as to where to look for things on Adobe's site, which you seem to know, already.
    If there is really nothing listed under your Products or your Orders or whatever the page sections are called, now, then I'd suggest you talk to Adobe, directly via Chat, which you can get to by starting on the Contact Us page and then indicating what products, problem area and problem you're having:  http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html
    You do have to have purchased the products using the same AdobeID (e-mail) as you're logged into Adobe with when trying to view the orders and products.

    I am trying to open a .indd file.  I am running Adobe InDesign CS5.  I got an error that plugins need to be updated.  When I try to install the updates, I get the error that says: "Error "This serial number is not for a qualifying product..." when installing an upgrade or upsell..."  
    Can someone please help me with what I need to do to be able to open .indd files?

    Those files were created in a later version of InDesign. Have the person that created them save them back via IDML or you’ll need to upgrade.

    MoeGhazal I reviewed your account and it looks like you have have upgraded from a CS4 volume license for Design Premium to a retail upgrade of Design Premium 5.5.
    I also show that you made two purchases of CS5.5 Design Premium but the second purchase was canceled.  Please make sure you are utilizing the serial number which ends in 7886.
    If you are using the correct serial number then it is likely the installer will not recognize your volume license CS4 serial number as being valid for an upgrade.  If you can contact our support team then you can be walked through an unlocking procedure to allow you to proceed with the installation.  You can contact our support team directly at Contact Customer Care.  You may want to try installing a web browser you have not previously utilized.  It is likely a toolbar or some other software application is affecting your ability to access chat support successfully.
    If you are still unable to reach our support team then please verify the information under your account is accurate.  If you can please then update this discussion after confirming this then I can request a member of our support team contact you directly.
