Serial number consistancy

Dear All,
I have an scenario, I am going to assign the serial numbers in Delivery of the sale order only, and not in
Production Order.
I Created the serial Number, in IQ01-as 'S' , and assigned at the time of PGI in sale Order.
When there is a customer return and i created the sale order with diffrent order type (return) using the reference of billing document number of earlier sale order for which i did PG/Billing.
But At the Time of of doing PGR for this order i am giving the same serial number which i gave earlier, since the Item and customer is same, But system is showing the error/Warning 'System status ECUS is active (EQU 10000338)'
Read as:
     { System status ECUS is active (EQU 10000338)
Message no. BS011
Diagnosis
System status ECUS (At customer site) is active for object EQU 10000338. When this status is active, the system issues a warning before executing transaction 'Delivery note assignment' }
Now If change the system status to Forbidden and made it to error it works fine in case of avoiding the same serial number being sent to diffrent customer for same mat code.
This perticular message shall behave diffrently,
1) When I do PGI it should not allow the PGI with the same serial number or the used one.
2) When I do Customer return and do PGR it should allow since the same number i am going to take back.
The Serialization procedures used are: OIS2
SDCC     Completness check for delivery     03     02
SDCR     Completion check IR delivery     02     02
SDLS     Maintain delivery     02     02
SDRE     Maintain returns delivery     02     02
Please help me out guys..

Serial number tracking

Dear experts,
in one my scenario, i need the serial numbers mapping. my clients quality completly based on the calibration of the gauges. N number of types of gauges and instruments are used in their business. each types of N number gauges and instruments. they given the serial numbers for each type of gauge in existing process , for their calibration of gauges tracking purpose . in this case i am create the material code for each gauge type along with serial number profile. after assigning the serial number profile. in serial number profile, i am selecting exist req check box, consistency check as No-validation, in serializing procedure, i am taken mmsl, cat p, and equp as 1 (with/out equipment number), after assigning i create the serial numbers for that gauge type by using IQ01. after creating the serial numbers, i do goods receipt and checks the stock. there i found same gauge type have 35no.of pcs. out of 35, after calibration results 2pcs are i scraped by using 551movement type and 5pcs i blocked ( from unrestricated to blocked stock). now i checked in mmbe there, i can see the untestricated stock 28pcs but problem is i am seeing all the serial numbers. here i want only unrestricated serial numbers, how i can control this one , please suggest me , if this one solved my issue will be solved. or else if any better solution other than this one please suggest me.
example: plaing plug gauge 28.00mm+-0.02 its one type or group, under this group he have 100pcs of gauges. each gauge have different calibration dates, calibration frequency was 6months, these gauges are assigned to production orders as a prt. in this scenario how i can treat the gauges? is material prt or equipment prt? i am thinking i can create as material ( each group) this material assigned to equipment in serial data. i can make the plan this equipment, under this equipment i can assign the all the serial numbers in object list. from there i can get the plan. please study the scenario and suggest me as soon as possible,

Dear Jalu,
As per my undersatnding about your scenario you can use the following option:
Material number for the pressure gauges and maintain serail numbers. Activate equipment view for serial numbers.
If you want to have a detailed calibration procedure use the functionality of QM. You can create maintenance plans for calibration of gauges for each serialised equipment.
For identifying scarapping you can have a separate storage location as SCRAP and move the defective one to that storage location.
From the IQ09 list itself you can identify the status (like ESTO - means in wearhouse , INST installed , AVLB - available) and its present location(like storage location , Functional location or superior equipment etc)
In mmbe also you can see the details( this should be possible in the way you have already configured also)
From mmbe output , select on the relavant quantity ( unrestricted , Quality Inspection or blocked qty etc.) and go to Environment ->Equipment/Serial number. It will display only the serial number which comes under that stock type.

Cs2/Windows 7x64 - User name, organization, or serial number is missing or invalid?

Ok, I'm at my wits end on this one. I've installed and reinstalled this CS2 suite multiple times, tried to find the proper registry keys, pretty much anything i can think of to get this to work, but every time I go to boot up one of the programs in the suite (such as Photoshop) I get an error stating "Your Adobe Photoshop user name, organization, or serial number is missing or invalid. The application cannot continue and must now exit". There is only an OK box, and absolutely no way for me to look at the licensing information to see what it's getting hung up on.
I've confirmed everything is correct upon installation. I can't find an e-mail address for Adobe's customer support so I'm asking you guys - what the hell is going on with this software? Anyone fix this before?

A few quick items:
(1)     I genuinely hope you find satisfaction with PaintShop Pro and that it meets your needs, whatever they are.
(2)     Bob Levine is not and has never been an employee of Adobe Systems Incorporated. He does speak his mind and certainly lets Adobe know when our products and policies need improvement. Without attempting to put words in his mouth, I think you may be objecting to the fact that he does understand the needs of software developers in terms of marketing and supporting their products and the value of same to customers. He does rightly point out that the monthly subscription costs for the tools they use to earn their living usually amount to far less expenditure than many if not most creative professionals spend each day on their favorite beverages. There is still a major failure of many computer users to comprehend the cost of development and support of software simply because software isn't “tangible” in the way computers, printers, and other peripherals are.
(3)     When you refer to purchasing “the CS2 suite for 1500 pounds (over $3000 back then)” I assume that you are referring to the Creative Suite 2 Premium which included every creative product that Adobe had at the time including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, GoLive, Version Cue, Bridge, Acrobat, etc. The “back then” was early 2005, nearly a decade which is an awful long time in this industry. If you “bought” the product more recently than eight years ago, much less five years ago, you already were purchasing something that was no longer current. And you certainly could not have purchased it from Adobe.
(4)     I am sorry to read that your “computer died.” Was that computer nine years old? To be consistent with your expectations of Adobe, hopefully you expected your computer's manufacturer to continue to support that computer with a free or reduced cost repairs and/or replacement because you spent so much money on that computer. And of course you expected that new computer would run the exact same OS as your dead computer and support all your old peripherals including SCSI drives, diskettes, etc.
(5)     Whether you or even I like it or not, the subscription model better reflects the reality of development, distribution, and support of software. Under the previous “perpetual license” scheme, you paid for a license to use the software for perpetuity on the hardware and software (i.e., OS) platforms for which it was developed and tested, nothing more. Unfortunately, the expectations of many of our customers was that somehow Adobe would provide free updates to their current program versions to provide support for future incompatible hardware and operating system platforms. However, that is a totally untenable business model. In contrast, many high end software applications (not graphic arts applications) not only charge for a license, but have a requirement for payment of either a monthly or annual maintenance contract which cover most such hardware/OS upwards incompatibility contingencies. The subscription model currently in-place basically eliminates the up-front licensing and a maintenance contract with a simple monthly fee that provides access to all updates and upgrades. It is fairly clear and simple.
(6)     In terms of your costs over time, you didn't indicate which aspects of “CS2 suite” you were using, but given your apparent emphasis on image editing, Adobe does offer a very attractive subscription that includes both Lightroom and Photoshop. Even if you don't use Lightroom at all, it is still a great price even just for Photoshop.

In need of my serial number

So almost 4 years ago, I purchased what was then called the Production Suite which consisted of Final Cut Pro HD, DVD Studio Pro 3, Motion and others. Anyway, I'm in desperate need of using Final Cut tonight and tomorrow, but (after migrating to a "new" G5) I'm being asked to enter in the serial number again. I cannot find my Installing your Software booklet that has the serial number on it, and so I have no access to a physical serial number. Is there anyway to relocate it on my computer? I would imagine that it would be somewhere, since we used the migration assistant.
Also, I already tried talking to Apple to see if they could get my registration up, but they couldn't for some reason.
Any suggestions?

Ya I did already try poking around in my Library, but clearly found nothing.
I DO still have the previous computer that FCP was installed on. Would that make a difference? Though it has since been cleared. But would knowing the MAC address for that computer help me to find it? And ya, I've been searching ALL OVER to find the physical serial number... it's just that the last time I used it was probably almost 4 years ago, so it's difficult to locate.
Also, not sure if it makes a difference, but I'm talking about the Production Suite (you mentioned FCS, but it wasn't around yet).
Also, in regards to contacting Apple, do you know if they would be able to get that for me? It would seem to me that it would be in a database somewhere... since I registered the software when I originally installed it onto my computer. If that's not the case, I guess I don't understand the purpose of registering software.

Asset serial number

While creating asset master record we haven given serial number in general data the same serial number should appear in report is it possible please help

You need to create a sort version consisting of the field in which you have maintained the asset number.
The fields in table ANLAV can be used in creation of Sort version.
Use this newly created Sort Version in Reports.

Reading the serial number of a VXI-MXI-2 through software

Is there a way to read the serial number of my VXI MXI 2 through software? I can find the model number and manufacturer number in the registers, but no serial number.

I think the short answer is no, there's not a way. Getting things like the model and manufacturer number are inherent in the design of VXI - so an API can support it for any vendor. But the serial number is not something inherent in the design of VXI - so no API can expose that in a consistent fashion for all devices.
Some instrument drivers do have a method for retrieving a device's serial number. But since the VXI-MXI-2 is more of a controller than a normal device (technically it's actually an extender, but close enough) there isn't an instrument driver for it.
The serial number is also part of the response string for 488.2 compliant message based devices - but again, this is not a message based device.
There is, however, something that may help you
. If you need to manually find the serial number, then you should use Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX), right-click on the VXI-MXI-2, and choose Hardware Configuration. The serial number should be displayed in the title bar of the popup configuration dialog.
But I don't think there's a way to get this programmatically.

Re installing Photoshop CS4 on an upgraded computer and it will not accept the serial number. Unable to deactivate Photoshop before upgrading computer due to hardware failure. Note that Adobe Photoshop CS4 New Install Bundle package consists of the new Photoshop CS4 Upgrade bundled together with the qualifying product, in this case an Adobe Photoshop CS2 License. I have tried both the CS2 and CS4 Serial numbers and both have not worked.

Error installing Acrobat.pro (Invalid serial number??)

I have a DVD set Adobe creative Suite 5 design standard which consist with 2 DVD for Design Standard and one (1) DVD for Adobe Acrobat 9 PRO (all Windows version)
I was try to install all DVD's on my win8.1 machine, but I coudn't install Acrobat 9 PRO.
When I was write down serial number which I found on Adobe Certifikate printed from "Obtain License Certificates" site

Sistem give me an error "Invalid serial number" as you can see on the picture, below.

Can someone please help me? (please don't ask me if I was write down serial number correctly, Answer is YES - few times! :-) )

I have checked the serial number you have provided and it looks like a Volume Serial number to me. There are mainly two reasons why this error might pop up :
1) You are using the installer for a Retail product and using the volume serial number as that combination do not work.
2) You have a stand alone installer for Acrobat and not a suite installer.
I would request you to kindly navigate back to the licensing website and go to Licenses>Downloads and search for the download link for the Creative Suite 5 and then download Acrobat again. This should resolve the concern that you have.

LR 5 Trial and Serial Number

I have a TRIAL VERSION of LR 5. It expired today. I just joined CC.
LR5 is asking me for a Serial Number when I try to open it.
How do I get LR 5 to recognize my CC membership?
I also had a Photoshop CC trial on my computer which was expired, but that software has a button that says
"License Software" and clicking on that allows me to sign in with CC membership, the Photoshop CC software recognized that and allowed me access.
How do I get LR 5 to do the same?
There is much I do not understand about the way Adobe does things. For instance if I go into Photoshop CC folder in Applications, there is an UNINSTALL option. I see no such option for LR 5 so that I could theoretically delete that and then reinstall LR from CC.
There's something to be said for consistency in terms of ease of use by consumers.
If someone could tell me how to get past the Serial Number Request with LR5 and get it to recognize my CC Membership that would be grealty appreciate. Just tried calling Adobe Support and the wait is nearly an hour.

Please navigate to Application/Utilities/Adobe Installers and look for Lightroom uninstaller and uninstall it. Run the CC cleaner tool to remove any leftover ruminants of Lightroom: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html .
Try installing Lightroom again from CC desktop.
Please let us know whether it worked.

Request for Serial Number when licensing CS6 package with CC

We're setting up our first batch of CC subscriptions for some new staff and to cater for some upgrades from CS5. However, we need to remain with CS6 likely for the rest of this year to maintain a consistent art pipeline.
If In understand correctly, I can use CCP to create and deploy only CC packages, while I need to use AAMEE to create the CS6 packages. Following: http://www.adobe.com/go/aamee_deploymentguide I created an unserialised, trial mode Flash Professional package and deployed this on a test system. At the same time, I invited a test user to our CC for Team subscription (under the VIP program) and assigned a live Flash Professional subscription to him.
The package deployed successfully (although it took an incredibly long time) and when started < i clicked the 'License this software' button. The user sioged in successfully with his newly created Adobe ID and was then asked for a serial number. Since this is a CC subscription, I don't have a serial number to give him. I had assumed that the adobe ID was now associated with the license and the serial number would not be required.
How do I get past this stage when deploying this package to users? Is there some undocumented option or modification I need to make to the package?

Just to clarify this for anyone else that's reading:
The client-side AME is installed automatically with CS6 applications. It is this component that is failing to validate my CC subscription, causing the application to fall back to requesting a serial number.
After a telephone call with Abhijit, we discovered that installing the standalone CC desktop application, either before or after the CS6 package, allowed the subscription to be validated and the software activated. It seems like there's a significant bug there, or at least a lack of consideration for the possibility that clients might not have CCD installed. The workaround is just about satisfactory for my environment, but I think this could still cause trouble in some larger or educational setups.
A useful tip: The CCD installer downloadable here: https://ccmdls.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/KCCC/1/win32/CreativeCloudSet-Up.exe supports the same command line switches as msiexec, so although it's not readily deployable as an MSI, it does allow for unattended installation.

Ws_delivery_udpate for serial number

We are using function module WS_DELIVERY_UPDATE to update/associate serial numbers to the delivery items. Issues arises when there are multiple delivery items in a delivery and each item with over 1000 serial numbers.
I have one delivery. Delivery item 1 has 1002 serial numbers. Delivery item 2 has 1001 serial numbers. We call the function module for each delivery item -- passing the serial numbers in function module parameter it_sernr_update. The results are not consistent. The function module completes without errors and checking the delivery in VL03N..extra..serial number, the results are as follows:
delivery item 1 has 798 serial numbers
delivery item 2 has 1001 serial numbers.
Our issue is with item 1. The function module only saves part of the serial numbers passed. The number 798 is also not consistent. Sometimes is is 732, 797.. But I have not yet seen it save the full 1002.
Additionally, when there is only 1 delivery item in a delivery, it will save it the full number of serial number passed.
So, it would seem the problem is with multiple delivery items in a delivery AND over 999 items.
Does anyone have suggestions as to how to fix the error.

the issue is with the locking of the serial number. The exception was not brought back from the FM.

Serial Number Problem in MIGO

Hi,
I am using externally created serial numbers and creating an Equipment for them.
At the time of GR of finished product, I am assigning these Serial Numbers to Material in MIGO. When I list the serial numbers in MIGO for selection, system is giving a list but this list consist of Serial Numbers which are already delivered to customer through SD. Serial Numbers delivered to Customer are having system status "ECUS".
My requirement is that system should not list Serial Numbers which are already delivered to Customer.
Moreover if at the time of creation of Serial Number, Plant Code is assigned in the "Stock Data" of Serial Number then system should not allowed it to be assigned to delivery created for some other plant.
I checked all settings for Serial Numbers but could not find any setting for this.

now in here if i say

after the two items are filled the page is scrolled ..
here u can see the scroll bar moving down
so third and fourth upto ten will be placed in the cursor position of (2) thats what this logic does ..

and u 'll see that the items will be filling up only at cursor two ..

Serial number won't work

trying to install lightroom 4 on my laptop. The serial number won't work, doesn't even seem like the right number of digits.

A Lightroom serial number should consist of 6 groups of 4 digits with no letters, for a total of 24 digits and the first four digits are 1160. Or at least this is the pattern I see for my LR purchases over the years, where they are are individual licneses, not Educational or Team or Enterprise.
How and where did you buy LR? If it was a box in a store, perhaps what you’re seeing is a redemption code that needs to be converted to a serial number using this website:

I have downloaded Lion to my Macbook, and now I have to keep keying in my serial number every time I restart my laptop or launch my aperture(version3.1.3), how can i fix this this problem.
