Serial number for a fresh install
Hi all,
I am in a bit of a pickle I think. I have just purchased a new computer and want to do a fresh install of CS4. I have no idea what the serial number is and I'm guessing I will need it for the installation.
I will try to give as much background info as possible to make it as easy as possible for anyone that may be able to help.
I bought the CS4 Design Premium - Student Edition - a couple of years ago. I am still studying currently, so hopefully there are no issues with validity there.
I remember I had to apply for the serial number, that is, it didn't come with the package initally. I have moved a couple of time since then and wherever I had it written down for safekeeping can no longer be found unfortunately. I remember the retailer I purchased it from, though I'm not sure they had much to do with the serial number aquisition...
I had 2 email addresses going at that stage, one of which I have since retired, so any information sent to that one (if it was even registered to that email address, I can't remember which it was for the life of me) is lost.
Any ideas?

Did you register the software? If so, sign into your account and you'll find it there.
If you got the serial directly from Adobe they should have a record of it.
Hopefully the above will help.
BTW, the academic versions are sold based on eligibility at the time of purchase. You are permitted to use that software, within the rules of the EULA, even after you get out of school.

You don't need a serial number to install LabVIEW.
Registration is optional.
Activation is needed after the evaluation period.
Install it without number and it will work for a limited time (30days?) in evaluation mode, giving you plenty of time to decide if you want to buy it.
Check the license manager to see the activation status of everything installed.

My old computer, which had CS3 installed, crashed and I had to replace the computer. We re-installed the CS3 program on the new computer, and the prompt calls for a serial number, which we do not have. I obtained the original CS3 while registered as a student at Dixie State University. The Coupon Code is: HL1A-003B-L2AO. There are only 7 days remaining on the new trial period. I e-mailed Adobe requesting a serial number several days ago, but have not received a response. How do I secure the serial number? Rollo B.

HI folks. I bought a refurb iMac directly from apple 2 years ago. It already came with Adobe Photoshop as well as many others. I didn't start using the photoshop until recently. Yesterday, I logged on, and asked me for a serial number. Where would I find this or how do I obtain this since it came with the iMac? Thank you in advance!
Marty, I'm not debating the fact that you got a Mac with third party software and I'm not trying to act as the software police. Yes, Apple apparently messed up and let one slip through, strange considering the stringent testing that refurbs go through, not to mention formatting and re-installation of software. I'm just trying to make you aware that any third party software wasn't supposed to be on there and Adobe or whoever will look at it as un-authorized (stolen) if you try to update it. It doesn't happen often but you don't want to be the one caught with unauthorized software on your computer, you'll have a **** of a time convincing them that it was there when you bought the machine. Just want you to know that it could be VERY expensive.
Best of luck to you and if you do end up having to purchase software and don't need all of the features of Photoshop take a look at Photoshop Elements, it offers many of the same tools but for a less demanding user and for less $$$. -

Trials do not have serial numbers, so if you have a serial number you oughta try it and see. If you use a serial number on a trial version it will activate it to full version status.

Can I install the online version rather than using my dvd? it successfully installed (up to a point) that way, it just wont accept my serial number for some reason. my dvd isnt working properly.
If it gets far enough to reject your serial number, it won't help to download it. It must have installed ok.
What is the message you get (DON'T tell us the serial number!!)?
Does it mention a "qualifying product" by any chance? -

Hi - I recently purchased a new iMac. I have a registered cs5 design premium package which is an upgrade - I have no disc for cs4 but have the qualifying serial number for it. I have installed cs5 via download onto my iMac but it is not accepting the serial number. Can anybody help. Does anybody else think that Adobe will loose a lot of customers by not providing any chat or call support for cs5 users??

I downloaded a Trial version of Adobe Acrobat XI. Now the trial has runout and I've signed up for a subscription. However, my software still needs a serial number. How can I get a serial number for the installed software?
There is no serial number and you don't need one. What you need for a subscription is to SIGN IN within Acrobat, so it knows the subscriptions you own.

It is not clear what you want/need, partly due to indicating different CS versions between the title and the body of your posting, and partly because you use the word "update". If you need to find a serial number for an older version of your software then you might find it available thru your Adobe account online if you registered it when you first installed it.

You have 3 months of care and up to 3 years with paid AppleCare, let them handle it and bring everything in.

Hello I have lost my serial number for adobe photoshop elements 13. Bought from John Lewis last month. I did have it installed but had to uninstall but cannot find the any of the packaging etc plus did not register. What is the best way of getting it installed again/replacement? Thanks
Do you have the receipt? If you have proof of ownership, you _may_ be able to persuade Customer Support to help you out. I imagine you would need to scan and email that proof if it works at all.

Berndh38291059 what version of Photoshop and Lightroom are you installing? Do you receive any specific error messages?

Finding the serial number for an installed copy of Labview 6.1
I have a copy of Labview 6.0 (Full Development System) and also Labview 6.1. I was able to find the serial number label in the package for version 6.0, but not for 6.1. I do have 6.1 installed and working on my workstation. Is it possible to determined the serial number for an installed copy of LabView?
Would the serial number for version 6.1 be the same as the serial number for version 6.0 that I upgraded from?That's what I expected, however the window that pops up when I select Help->About LabVIEW contains only the following information:
