Serial number ignored when I try to authorize AP 2.01 Trial

I have just bought the AP 2 online and immediately received a serial number in the mail. I started the AP 2.01 trial and pressed "Authorize". I entered my name and the serial sent to me, but it is completely ignored? When I press ok (or done? I forget..) the same Trial log on appears.
Restarting doesn't help.
Authorizing from the menu inside AP 2.01 doesn't help
Following the support page hint and deleting the file in Library/application support/Proapps/ doesn't help.
I have carefully entered EXACTLY the provided serial including - doesn't help.
I have copy and pasted the serial to avoid mistakes..... doesn't help.
HEEEELP, my trial runs out in 9 days and it won't activate!!! What am I doing wrong?

If you have Windows 7 Pro you can try to install CS3 in XP mode.

Freezes when i try to authorize

I am trying to view a movie but when I try to authorize the video it pulls up the window of accessing itunes store. It will just freeze after that. I have to open the task manager and force quit and then nothing I have to open itunes all over again. Anyone else have this problem. This computer is only a couple of weeks old and I am still trying to fix this problem!

What I did was go to iTunes and click Sign in, then made a new account.
But I didn't want to put in a Credit Card number, so what I did was
Open iTunes
Go to iTunes Store
Search a totaly free app. (I used Google Earth)
Click on the app from the list
Click the button under the icon that says "Free App"
Then it will ask you to sign in or make a new account, Select Make New Account
Follow All the steps on all the pages.
When you get to the page that you select your Credit Card, check "None"
Fill in the rest of the info and then click Complete
Verify your email
I hope this helped you. Strangely, you can only select "None" Under Credit Card if you do it this way. Must be some iTunes bug.

Hard reboot needed when I try to authorize a website with parental controls

This is the scenario I'm struggling with:
My son has parental controls set limiting the websites he can visit. When I try to authorize a website, sometimes safari returns to the "Oops! you're not authorized" page rather than opening the site. When this happens, I can close applications but not open any applications from the dock. When I log off and log back in I get the spinning beach ball at the login screen and need to do a hard reboot. When I try to authorize the site again it eventually works, but sometimes I get a dialog box that says java was trying to access a secure site. I click OK and continue. This doesn't happen every time I authorize a page, but often enough that it's a clear pattern.
My son's used to this and just goes for a hard reset when it happens; I'm thinking thats not acceptable. Is anyone else seeing this behavior?
This is happening on an old white plastic 13-inch late 2009 macbook, 8MB, running OSX 10.9.4 and Safari 10.0.6.

You have a lot of extensions installed. Each one of those comes with a cost in memory and cpu resources. My advice would be to turn all the non-essential ones off. You also might want to disable add-on sync.

You might also consider running [http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/#aurora Firefox Aurora]. It's currently version 14 but will be updated to 15 probably tomorrow. It now prevents add-on memory use from spiraling out of control (but again they all cost some amount of memory).

It sounds like you bought an upgrade from Adobe. How much did you pay? The upgrade is about $80, and the non-upgrade is about $150. If you bought an upgrade version and had no previous version, you would see what you're seeing.
If that is the case and I were you, I'd call Adobe, and arrange for a refund and to order the correct version.
