Serial number invalid for elements premiere

Question

recently had to troubleshoot my laptop and I had elements installed on it. now it says the serial number is invalid and that the previous number was already used. what do I need to do to reinstall my paid for product.

Thanks for the follow. Sorry that the news was not better.
But, this is not Adobe. Rather a user to user forum.
1. When you went looking for your serial number at Adobe, did you look under My Products as I suggested or did you look under My Orders instead.
I wrote:
If you  have not already, go to Adobe web site http://www.adobe.com, sign in, in the Search field type My Products.
Follow the My Products link to your products. In your products find Adobe Premiere Elements 12 and click on it to
reveal the serial number.
If there is no serial number, nothing can be done.
2. Since you have Premiere Elements 12, not the current version, keep in mind that Adobe typically supports only the latest version (now 13).
3. As for money back
a. Are you within 30 days of purchase from Adobe direct? Unlikely if you have version 12. If you were and this was the latest version, you
could request return/refund from the online Adobe Chat Orders. And, if you had purchased from an authorized reseller, then you would have
to deal with the return/refund policy of the seller.
b. Return/Refund is up to Adobe. In spite of your situation, you could contact Adobe to describe your situation. Ask for a supervisor if necessary.
In this situation, Adobe is the only one who can help you.
When you registered your product originally, were you using the same Adobe ID and Password that you are currently using?
