Serial number is suddenly invalid

I have downloaded the install for cs 5.5 masters collection on my new computer.
At first everything was good. All programs worked!!! But after a restart about a month later came the message while open the program that the serial number is invalid.
Everything here written is not an answer to my question! So please do not just provide a link back.
The last answer was not a help! Thank you.

Could you please write down the exact text of the error message coming up?
To start, please follow this step:
1) In Windows :-- C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts Open it using 'Notepad'
In Mac :-- Open Finder window>> on the top click on 'Go'>> click on 'Go to folder'>> type '/etc'>> open hosts file with textedit.
2) Check if you have Adobe entries in there, if yes, then delete all the adobe entries one by one.
3) Save the copy as duplicate on the desktop and replace it with the old one.
Once done, launch the product and see if that works.

Photoshop CS4 Serial number flagged as invalid when I know it's OK. I have been transferring my software to Windows7 from XP by running two operating systems on separate volumes so I can keep working while dealing with compatibility problems. I have my original CD with serial number that I have been using for years. I have wasted a lot of time on this but I am now at the stage where I have deactivated and uninstalled PS from XP, reinstalled from download from Adobe on Win7. When I install I'm asked for the serial number which is accepted OK. When I try to run PS I'm again asked for s/n but this time it's flagged as Invalid. I have had to resort to running as 30 day trial while I trying to find a solution. I'm now desperate, Help Please!

I bought Photoshop Elements 12 and I cannot install it..It says invalid serial number and says invalid Redemption Code when I try that way. I need the program and because I have opened the box it can't be returned to the store. I have over $100 tied up in this product that I can't use. Someone said install the free trial version...Ok, I did...but it is just a 30 day trial and I want the full version of the product I paid for!! So how do I get a valid serial number? The serial number on the box and the redemption code card both come up as invalid. Not a very happy customer right now!!

Adobe Acrobat XI Pro - serial number rejected as invalid

I bought Adobe Acrobat XI Pro at Amazon.
While running a trial version, I installed the product from the CD. It installed the newly purchased product concurrently. While trying to register, Adobe detects the XI Pro installation, but comes back with a message that the serial number is invalid. I checked the number and it is exacly what is printed in the CD sleve. I tried to chat with an agent, but it is impossible. No matter how many hours I wait, nobody picks up my request.

My serial number for CS Standard is invalid. This is a legit copy that my company purchased years ago. I would like to use it still on my new computer. Customer support chat says I need to get it resolved here, which sounds odd, but OK. Please help.

Upgrading to PSE12, serial number showing as invalid - still an issue?

Have purchased upgrade to PSE12 and entered my PSE6 serial number but Install indicates that this is invalid. MAC user. No response on the one-to-one Adobe Chat, which is disappointing.

You may have to check the online reseller directly and ask about this matter.
And note they have a different policy of returns and exchanges than Apple
itself. A retail Apple Store or the Apple online (company) store is different
than an authorized independent retailer who resells product. So you should
check with them about a return or replacement. They may also be able to
figure out why they sent you a product that cannot be officially verified.

You can try this, it might help you.
After installation ,Just delete this file C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe PCD\cache\cache.db This is the location where it installed the serial . After deleteing it will create a new cache.db file and store the serial there that goes with that disk . When you open PS cs4 it will ask to enter serial again.Just enter the serial again that came with box

CS4 Serial Number coming up invalid after years of use

I purchased the CS4 Master Collection some time ago, I know it is really out dated, but it works for me , now I am being prompted to enter my serial number when opening the programs (which worked yesterday???). When I put in my PAID for number I'm getting a red 'X' instead of a green check mark. How can I resolve this? The suite has been on my new PC for over 2 years with no problems until now.

Yeah, I did last night, but all they could tell me is the serial number is invalid and provide proof of purchase. Unfortunately, I bought CS4 probably 5 years ago and finding a receipt is a slim chance. They won't help until then.

Serial Number stated as invalid?

I have just opened up my recently purchased (online) adobe premiere elements 10 and put in disc. On the customer information page it has asked for my name, country of residence and serial number of product. I have entered all that but it is now saying that the serial number I entered is invalid! I don't understand that? This also came together with adobe photoshop elements 10 whic did successfully install and the serial number (typed and stuck on the back of the package) did go through. I don't understand why this next serial number for premiere has been rejected as invalid?
Can anybody help? Why is this and what do I now do about it?
I reside in New Zealand having bought it online in USA, so I can't very well walk into the originating shop.

Elements 12 - serial number comes up invalid...

Just downloaded the full version of Elements 12 for my iMac after using the trial version for a few weeks. I paid my money but the serial no. given is stated to be "invalid for Adobe Photoshop Elements 12".... How can I activate the software I just paid for?

kglad - thanks but this seems to simply show me how to find my serial
number. I know what my serial no. is but when I try to activate Elements 12
it says this serial no. is not valid.
I think Adobe either need to re-config. the software to accept my existing
serial no. , or give me a new on which will work. I paid $125 for this
software and so far have nothing to show for my money.

Original serial number is getting invalid message

I received Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 as a gift which was purchased in Costco. I have the original box, disc and serial number from the inside cover. I recently changed computers but cannot reinstall my copy as I am getting a message that the serial number is invalid. I contacted support but they said that they cannot help as I didn't purchase online. How can I get a serial number for a product that I already own?

The 24 digit serial number should be on a sticker on the back of the dvd case under where it says
Serial Number:Photoshop Elements
Is that the number you used and input that with only numbers (no letters)?
Did you try both with and without the dashes like below?
(X represents the numbers)

I use Photoshop CS6 installed from a serial number, but suddenly won't open and prompts me to renew Cloud membership

I installed Photoshop CS6 through hardware/serial number last year, and suddenly when I try to open up the application, the adobe application manager for Cloud pops up and says I need to renew my subscription, but I'm not using cloud. I did *used* to have Photoshop CC on this computer but not for months, and I've uninstalled all that software. Why can't I open my CS6?

Just answered that one a few hours ago: Ive got photoshop CS6 in my computer but when I tried to open it, it opened as Photoshop CS6 Extended and is asking me if I want to license this software so I can no longer access Photoshop. Can anyone help at all?
You should see a prompt to "License this Software". You might see it on the Trial Screen.
Click on that, sign in if asked, then click on the "I have a serial number" option or you maybe able to do that directly.
Once your serial number is entered, your software is licensed and activated.
