Serial Number is TOO short to Enter???

I just bought CS6 Photoshop Extended Student/Teacher Edition because I didn't want to pay for the newer CC version. So I've done all the forms and sent them away. I've received an email that said ok that I am a student and that I can have it, all good so far. So I've entered some stuff they sent me from the email and its started downloading. I stayed well past 12am waiting for this to finish downloading presuming that as soon I left the page there would be a symbol that said Photoshop CS6, of course it didn't and I was too tired at that point to start looking so I left it, its now been a week later and I've noticed something on the home screen and I have gone into it, following all the steps its given me, it wants a serial number. That's fine I still have that, BUT its too short to enter, its wants another set of numbers entered that I don't have. I have looked at all the help questions on here saying that if I received a card it should be on the back with 19 numbers, I have counted and there are 19. So now I am confused on whether the card is the right one or are the numbers they gave in the email the ones I should enter, and if they are well I don't posses them anymore cause I deleted the email thinking I wouldn't need it anymore (stupid idea). So what should I do????

Serial numbers are normally longer than that - I believe 24 is the right number. So whatever you were trying to use must have been something else. If you got rid of the email that was likely you ticket to getting the serial number you needed. At this point you will have to contact Adobe Support directly to see what can be done to get you the right information.

It sounds like you bought an upgrade from Adobe. How much did you pay? The upgrade is about $80, and the non-upgrade is about $150. If you bought an upgrade version and had no previous version, you would see what you're seeing.
If that is the case and I were you, I'd call Adobe, and arrange for a refund and to order the correct version.

Cancelled PS CS6 subscription copy won't let me enter my retail serial number

I bought a Photoshop CS6 subscription a week ago, then decided I'd rather have the retail version. I have the appropriate retail copy, with a serial number in the box.
I called Adobe to cancel my subscription, and it's marked as cancelled now, though the cancellation email says I can continue using the subscription until next month.
I deactivated Photoshop, expecting that I'd then be able to enter my retail serial number, but when I try to license it, it doesn't even let me enter a serial number - it just detects the (just cancelled today, but still active) subscription and says thanks very much.
I'd like to enter my retail serial number without waiting a month for the cancelled subscription to fully go away.
I appreciate that this isn't exactly a terrible problem to have, and it's not a big deal. But is there any way to force it to let me enter my serial number, even though the subscription is still active? I'd prefer to avoid uninstalling the downloaded subscription copy, and reinstalling from the (ugh) DVD in the retail box - especially if that one will just pick up the subscription too!

I found the answer myself:
1. Deactivate Photoshop (via its Help menu) over the internet.
2. Quit and relaunch Photoshop. It will now think it's the Photoshop Extended Trial version, and it'll ask to register the trial with your Adobe account. Don't do that.
3. Quit and relaunch Photoshop again. It will say you have 30 days left in your trial, and you can either click the "License" button or "Continue Trial". First, disconnect from the internet (switch off your computer's wifi, or such - make sure there's no internet connection).
4. Click "License". It will fail to connect to Adobe, and will then give you an "Enter Serial Number" option.
5. Enter your serial number, reconnect to the internet, and submit the serial number. Let it register the serial number to your Adobe Account online.
6. Quit and relaunch Photoshop one more time, and you're done. Your Adobe Account online will show your new Photoshop serial number as registered.
Whew. But at least there was no need to wait a month, or to uninstall/reinstall.

CS3 installed on macbook air (yosemite) - serial number entered, only giving trial - how do i get past trial?

I have bought a new macbook air. I installed CS3 design premium, entered the serial number which it accepted. It recognised it was an upgrade from CS2 and asked for the serial number from CS2. I entered the serial number but it was not recognised. I uninstalled CS3 and proceeded to install CS2 first just incase but the installers do not work with yosemite. So I am stuck with a perfectly good CS3 program which is going to expire in a few days at the end of the trial.
Does anyone know a way around this that I can get the serial number to work to get rid of the trial program? I have just been on chat with Adobe but they are unable to give support on chat for CS3!

CF 8 License still Developer even though Serial Number entered

I was running a trial version of CF 8, but purchased a Serial
number for ColdFusion standard and entered it two days before the
trial ended. I noticed today that I am now getting a License
Exception and also noticed that the edition is developer in the
System Information page of my coldfusion administrator.
I am running on IIS and have configured 3 domains in the web
configuration tool.
Any ideas on how to correct this problem ?

Is it displaying the licence number on the system info page
(same page you
would have entered it)?
Have you tried entering it again?
If it doesn't work, get onto Adobe and get a new licence
number (or ask
them "WTF?" at the very least).

I purchased Lightroom 4 earlier in the year and regisitered my product with the serial number. However, since I have had to have my computer cleared. I am away travelling and so downloaded the trial. My sister checked my Serial number but I have tried entering this and it seems 2 characters too short. Is it possible that Adobe has a record of my serial number that I can acquire so I can continue to use Lightroom. My trial is now expiring.

Dreamweaver MX 2004 serial number invalid on Windows 7?

I'm trying to switch to a new computer. I uninstalled Dreamweaver MX 2004 (also called Dreamweaver 7) from my XP machine and tried to install it on my new Windows 7 Home Premium machine.
After I entered in the last digit of the serial number, a red x appeared next to it. The only button available was Go Back. In other words, it said my serial number was invalid.
I entered it a couple of more times and then tried an experiment. I installed it again, entered the exact same serial number, and there wasn't any problem. That is, it's definitely a valid serial number.
Then I found an update to 7.01, which I installed. Now I could enter the serial number and it accepted it, but when I clicked Next, it said that this update required the serial number of the previous product. So I tried entering the serial number for Ultradev, which I believe was the previous product. (If not, it's the only other Dreamweaver disk I have around.) That didn't work, so I thought maybe 7.01 was looking for the serial number for 7.00, so I tried that. That didn't work.
Any suggestions?
I have only one web site that I maintain using Dreamweaver, which is why I haven't upgraded. I'd hate to have to go back to Notepad (actually, I'd use Notepad++ if I had to).
I just remembered something. When I installed it, I accepted the default directory, which was Program Files, not Program Files (x86).

I fixed it!
On http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/, I chose "I need help activating or deactivating my software". It says:
"If you've installed on more than two computers, you must deactivate one copy by starting that software and choosing Help > Deactivate."
Fortunately, I still have my old computer. I re-installed Dreamweaver there (I had already uninstalled it) and chose Help > Activation > Transfer License.
Transfer License became grey (unavailable), which I understood to mean it had deactivate my license.
I went back to my new machine and did this:
1. Copied the Dreamweaver 7.0 disk to my hard drive.
2. Right-clicked "Install Dreamweaver MX 2004.exe" and chose "Run as administrator."
3. Started Dreamweaver. When it asked me for my serial number, I entered it, and it accepted it! Then it asked me for the serial number of the previous version (because it was an upgrade disk). I entered the old serial number (with hyphens) and it accepted it!
So, in other words, that was the problem: I had to deactivate it on my old machine.
After getting it to accept my serial number, I closed it and then ran the 7.01 update, once again running it as administrator.
Now the only problem is that importing my .ste files doesn't work. I used Manage Sites > Import and chose the .ste file, but got an error message that says "No items match your search." I puzzled on that one for a bit. Was it saying that it couldn't find my .ste file? I could find my .ste file, and it could, too, because it showed a list of them when I clicked Import.
I opened one with Notepad++ and discovered that it's an XML file. I think I now know the problem: The .ste file has pathnames in it that represent the file structure on my old XP machine (D:\Documents and Settings...). The file structure on my Windows 7 machine is C:\Users\[username]...
So, after dinner, I need to search the forums on what to do, or back up my .ste files and then try editing the paths with Notepad++.

I've checked your account, and all is well there. Please make sure that you're logging in with the same Adobe ID/password that you used when you signed up.
Then, clear the browser cache, and try logging in directly to https://cloud.acrobat.com.
