Serial number issues for student package!!

Having contacted customer "support" on several occasions, it is evedent I am not progressing with my issue and unlikely to get it resolved.  I keep getting through to an Indian call centre that keeps sending me around in circles.  I have spoken to a supervisor that told me to take a photo of my student ID with my phone and submit it to them (as I dont have a scanner to do so).  I have done this and still no joy and constant emails to say they will close the issue if I don't respond.  Again I respond to Indian call centre and put on hold for long periods of time to go through the whole process again and again!!!
I want to make a formal complaint and progress this issue.  I have requested call backs, which have not materialised!  Left messages with various depts and still nothing.  Is all of the British Adobe team on late xmas holiday?!!!!

  • Serial number issue for Acrobat in CS3 Web premium education edition.

    Hi everybody. If anyone can help me on this issue, I would really appreciate it. So far, customer support hasn't been very useful. So here is the issue.
    I bought CS3 Web Premium for my 2.16ghz macbook and it was purchased through apple. Anyway, it came with the main disc to install all the applications of cs3 and another disc to install acrobat 9. The way an education edition works is that I don't receive an actual serial number. I receive a product number which I have to enter, along with my info and proof of eligibility on this website called myidentit-e.com When this was all said and done, I received an email that contained a serial number. This serial number worked on all of the regular cs3 applications but not on acrobat 9. There was no other product code included and the directions inside the case said that I should be able to use the same serial number for both the regular cs3 and acrobat 9. Customer service's suggestion was to call apple since I bought it from them but what would they know about that? Adobe seals the products and I'm assuming that Apple is only a reseller.
    Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

    We've also had this problem. It looks like neither Adobe, My Identit-e nor Adobe will take responsibility for fixing this. All CS3 programs work except for Acrobat, which won't accept the serial number.
    Support requests to adobe have resulted in our request simply being "closed" without any actual response from the company.
    Has anyone had any luck with obtaining help from any of these companies? Any advice is appreciated.

  • Serial Number Issues - very frustrated!

    I am amazed at how Adobe handles their issues.  I have been working on this easy process of finding my serial number but it's been over a month now and after providing documentation that I am who I am and a ton of additional information - I swear the next piece they were going to ask was to finger print me.  They finally found my order - yeah!  They gave me a serial number and closed my case.  It didn't work.  I have re-opened this case and it was immediately closed stating it was taken care of (thanks which i Mohammed!).  They tell you to re-open the case if you are still having issues, which I was...then they close it not even a half hour later stating it's been resolved.  WHAT???  NO!  I need the correct serial number to fix this!

    Without knowing anything about your case, it’s possible that the serial number is for the correct product but for a different licensing type and to fix things you just have to find the correct installer for the product that matches the license type.
    What product is the serial number supposedly for and/or what product are you trying to install?
    What license type is it:  individual, academic, student, teacher, enterprise, government, teams, cloud?
    Do you have a chat transcript that you can review again, privately, to help determine what license type the serial number is for?
    Don’t post your serial number, here, in its entirety or even most of it, because this is a public forum, but can you give us the first 4 digits (of the 24 digits) because some Adobe products, at least, have the same four digits for each product serial number at least of a specific license type and sometimes for all license types, and that would help validate whether the serial number you’ve been given matches what you’re trying to install.  For example, all recent Lightroom serial numbers for the Individual license type start with the four digits 1160. 

  • Maintenance of serial number profile for a material

    Hi,
    We need to maintain serial number profile for a material. Presently there exists stock for this material.
    Could you please let us know the prerequisites for maintaining the serial number profile for a material where stock exists.
    System should not allow to update the material with serial number profile if stock exists, since for the existing stock serial numbers are not available. But in our case, system is allowing to update the profile for the material where stock exists. Could you suggest if any setting/config is missing to throw an error.

    I have the solution below.
    - Don't change Serial no. profile
    - Goods issue all stock with mvt 201 or 261 into temporary cost object and note your text.
    - Change Serial no. profile in material master
    - Goods receipt all stock (You may ref. material doc.) and you need to input serial number for all materials.

    I am a teacher and have a newer version of the software than my students do. I would like to demo in the same version they use, but it is no longer sold - will my serial number work for older versions of the same program?

    No, the serial number is tied to the version/license you purchased.  Can't you acquire the software in the same way that your students have to?

  • Serial number issue

    Can anybody please help me with this scenario? We produce a part in Plant A. We have another plant B.  We get sales orders on plant B and if there is enough stock in plant B to meet the sales order requirement, we send it from B, if we do not have enough stock then we procure from plant A. The question i have is, is it possible to ship the same serial number parts to the end customer with out gettting any error message in plant B.
    Fo r example, serial number 1 gets shipped from Plant A to plant B and we receive it and keep it here and when we ship the same serial number 1 to a sales order from plant B, we are getting the error message, serial number not found or invalid? can we do something in the system to get rid of this error message?
    I hope i made myself clear? how will the system perceive this? Just because we shipped the serial number to our plant, does the system consider that we alreaedy shipped the serila number to the customer?

    Well, did you find the customizing of the serial number profile in customizing?
    I found the following instructions in SAP online help that will help you to confirm that your customizing is correct.
    A serial number profile with the operation MMSL must be entered in the material master record.
    If a stock check is to be performed, the indicator of the same name must be set in the serial number profile.
    In order that the individual stocks are recorded correctly, you must define the indicator as follows:
    · The serial number usage for the operation MMSL must be 03, meaning that the assignment of serial numbers is obligatory for goods movements.
    · The stock check must be 2, meaning that if the stock data is inconsistent, the system does not perform the posting and issues a corresponding error message.

  • 2 issues - Invalid Serial Number issue & Lightroom 5 Trial vs full version folder hierarchy question

    not sure if I should split these two questions...
    1 - Invalid Serial Number issue
    I'm helping out a friend with their large photo collection and they bought Lightroom 5 and received the serial number but when we add this to Lightroom it states that it's invalid - I tried leaving it until the following week (I visit them weekly) and it still refusing the number - when I went into their Adobe account and took a look at downloads the option to download the full version is greyed out (or an x - I'm not sat on their computer right now so can't double check) but it wouldn't allow me to do anything so we just had the trial version.
    anyone know what the issue is - shall I get them to contact Adobe to get them to take a look - I also had issues trying to find a customer support email address lol. (I seem to faffing with lots of websites/software/companies this week so getting a little frazzled!)
    2 - Lightroom 5 Trial vs full version folder hierarchy question
    This question is linked to the above i- I am wondering if the folders in Lightroom are different in the trial version vs the fully paid version.
    I had set up some greeting card templates and contact sheet layouts for my friend and tried to transfer them to her computer but whilst, LR 'sees' the folders it just doesn't acknowledge the templates - I tried it several ways but I've not had that issue before so will that sort itself when I get the serial number fixed?

    Hi Lenny, the two questions may be related but the trial is actually the same as the full version. I would suggest getting the serial number issue sorted out first. There have been known issues where a paid for product still shows up as a trial.There is not a lot the community can do. You need to contact Adobe directly using the link below. Use the dropdown menu for boxes (1) & (2) to scroll down the list and choose:
    1. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom
    2. Serial number issues or activating my product
    3. Click on the blue button: Still need help? Contact us – then click the button marked “chat now”

    Re installing software on new laptop.  Download okay until serial number asked for - Invalid.  Using the same SN as before and right from the Adobe page as before

    i am into STO process . Oce PGI for outbound delivery is created and then MIGO (PGR) will happen at recveing pant
    issue is after MIGO (PGR) the serial number status must be in AVLB ..but it is still in EDEL  ESTO ...
    The AVLB status must come automatically in the equipment master.

    I am doing through PO...we don't have inbound delivery process ... so i do MIGO with reference to PO
    We have equipment master IE01/2.. plant is assigned  after MIGO  reeving plant is getting updated in the equipment master but the serial number status is not getting changed to AVLB.... also the serial number profile is with MMSL procedure.

    Material Serial Number Issue.
    Its better to explain with the example.
    Material Number : ABCD with serial number as 123456
    There is a reservation for the Material ABCD from work order, now the warehouse person Goods Issues for the reservation ABCD with serial number 06-123456.(he issued wrong serial number)
    Correction action - Reverse Goods Issue for serial number 06-123456, now Goods issue for correct number as 123456. But the systems doesnot allows the serial number, error Material ABCD 123456 is already installed. Thenin  IQ09 the material ABCD with SNO 123456 is INSTL Status.
    Now question.
    1. In 1st place how system allows the Goods issue for particular reservation with different serial number?
    2. Without issuing the serial number 123456, how the status changed to INSTL???
    3. How to solve this problem, need to change the stauts of Material 123456 as ESTO, then i can do goods issue,. how to change the status??

    Hi,
    Ask the workcentre to give that materail with 202 or 262 mvt to you. Now with the new reservation issue the required serial number material to site.
    System does not have the serial number in reservation slip.Manually u are assigning it diuring the MIGO.

  • Serial number issue after Mountain Lion clear install.

    Hello.
    I have a problem with Aperture 3 (v.3.4), evry time I'm rebooting OSX (Moutain Lion) Aperture is asking again for serial no.
    I have Aperture 2 + Aperture 3 upgrade serials no.
    After puting them, Aperture is working fine until next restart of OSX.
    Already fixed database and removed aplication settings and still the same issue.
    Please advise.

    You may have a corrupted "ProAppSystemID" file.
    To stop Aperture asking for the serial number, check, if you still have an old file "ProAppSystemID" in your System Library.
    Quit Aperture.
    Go to your MacintoshHD and open the folder "Library", then "Application Support", then "ProApps".
    Remove the File "ProAppsSystemID" to the Desktop, if it exist and restart Aperture.
    Reenter your serial number, hopefully for the last time.
    Sometimes Aperture writes this file to a temporary directory, when it cannot write to the Library. If the above does not work, look at the temporary directory /tmp
    Use the Finder's "Go" menu
         Go > Got to folder    and  enter /tmp into the textfield. If you see the file there, move it to its proper location.

  • Upgraded from CS5 to CS6 - Serial number not for a qualifying product. Chat not available

    I get a page saying "serial number not for a qualifying product. Please try another. " during install. I upgraded from Design Standard CS5  to Design Standard CS6 .
    Also, Chat is never available to me. 6 tries to no avail so far.
    Any help would be most appreciated or if someone knows how else I can contact Adobe as Chat is never available.

    I attempted to reslove via CS chat but was unable to get assitance due to it being "outdated".
    In so many words: That's BS. Only support can look into the customer database and they have to sort it out. Contact them again, escalate the case to the next level until you get someone qualified enough to resolve your issue.

  • BAPI_PO_CHANGE - Account assignment serial number issue

    I am modifying Service PO with BAPI_PO_CHANGE.
    I am passign A/c Assignment with WBS_Element value and serial number '01' for individual line.
    PO has A/c Assignment catagory P(Project).
    But the existing PO which i want to modify, had Serial number '02' for A/c assignemnt serial number.
    So it is giving Short dump with raising exception for the class of Account assignnment handler.
    What need to dofor such A/c assignment catagory in Service PO Case.?
