Serial number "locked" in itunes

Hello.
Apple says that I can find the serial number for my ipad in ITUNES - PREFERENCES - DEVICES.
I see my ipad there, and I can see its serial number, but my phone has a lock on it, and I can't see anything.
Can anybody please help me? How can I see it?
My phone is dead, and I would like to have access to the serial number.

Thanks. I have tried that, but it doesn't work. It is not responding. My feeling si that it is because it has a lock icon (which my ipad doesn't have, and I can see THAT serial.)

Why do you need the serial number? You could get it if you'd ever synced it to that copy of iTunes before, but I'm guessing that's not the case. You need to put the phone into recovery mode and restore it if it's disabled now. There really isn't any other choice.

There was some updayts for my iPad 4 automatically downloaded. After installing it, the iPad began to restart itself every few minutes.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

I'm not sure that you need to. iTunes will read the serial number from the new iPod when you hook it up. If you aren't talking about the iPod serial number, but instead talking about the iTunes user ID and password, keep using what you have.

Unless you want to tell the police that Joe Somebody has your iPod, and that they can use the serial number to bust him, it won't really do you much good. The thief can use your iPod, download your tunes to their computer with third-party software, and even sync the iPod to their computer (although they will need your log-in name and password to sync your iTunes store purchases). Apple can't (or at least doesn't) track stolen iPods via serial number as far as I know.

If you get a different iPod, all of the content you synced to the stolen one can be synced to the new one, if that was your worry.

What product, specifically? iTunes does not have a serial number. I don't know where the serial number is for your computer, but most likely it's on the rear of the computer or on the bottom.

So, I named my new ipod nano 7 and have the serial number on my itunes account. I still am not able to get any podcasts downloaded to it.

so, I named my new Nano7 and the serial number appears on my itunes account.
But
when I have it plugged in it will not download the podcasts I loaded from itunes.
The podcasts automatically load on my older ipod nano when I plug it in.
How can I get my new Nano to recieve data?

Before you sync, go to "podcast" in ipod upper menu. Make sure the "sync podcast"is ticked. If not, do accordingly and then sync again. Cheers!

BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE + Serial Number locked by User

I am posting a GR for a PO and assigning serial numbers in the goodsmvt_serialnumber table. This is working fine for small volumes ie 2000 , but when we reciept larger volumes e.g. 10,000 we are getting the error massage "Serial number is locked by User "
Has anyone got any ideas ?? This program is a copy from one from our Legacy system, so I know that the code is ok, we are upgrading to ECC5.0 from 4.6C.

if it was with in the last 30 days list will show ur ipod sn number with out ur ipod

When I am doing the MIGO for PO which is having 30000 quantities and when I am assigning the Serial No then I am getting this error - 'Serial Number is already Locked by User' but actually this Serial No. is not being used by other person.
Please suggest something how to proceed.

the below mentioned notes is how to unlock it.
Goto SE11 and select the Lock Object radio Button. Click on F4
you will see a popup asking to enter the Lock Object.
Now Click on the + symbol ( which will show you further select options)
Now enter the Base table. it is the Table which you have the Searial Number(Master data)
and Hit enter. It will show you all the Locks existing for that table.
Now Select the Lock which is locking the Serial Number.
Now goto your code. from the pattern button Call the FM as DEQUEUE_Lock_object
