Where do I find the serial number for my download of Logic Pro 9?

The process has been as follows; I bought Logic Pro 9 and it didnt have full functionality becuase I could not download the additional content of 8.5GB apprx. iStore were prepared to do the download, but suggested that if I bought Logic Studio Upgrade, then this would solve the problem. This seemed like a good idea to me becuase I then would have greater functionality with other included products.
When I explained the serial number problem to iStore and my local Apple phone support, nobody knew about this type of problem and t/fore they cannot suggest any solution.
Everyone, thank you for your input on this topic. I realise that there is no available solution to upgrade in my case and I will consider asking iStore for a refund and return L/Studio.

Original serial number logic

I'm trying to install a 2nd instance of Logic Studio on my MacBook Pro and the "wizard" is asking for original serial number or insert Logic XSKey. If I don't know what either of these is - how do I move forward with the installation?

You seem to have an upgrade box of Logic Studio. This only contains an upgrade serial number, you still need to proof that you own a full version of Logic. This can either be done by entering an older serial number or plugging in the XSKey, which came with older versions. Without that, you can proceed and later use the app.

Lost my serial number Logic

Also, you can find the serial number in the documents that come inside the Logic Studio box.
You can also see the serial number when you launch Logic on the splash (ABOUT) screen. Take a screen shot of it (command-shift-3).

LP8: prob with serial number, Logic vs STP

Recently had to reinstall Logic Studio (Logic 8, STP 3, Waveburner 1.5...). I've got the original large, car-battery sized box with the manuals and all the paperwork. The one and ony other time I installed it years ago, and it's all ben working fine.
Got a new hard drive in my MBP and didn't want to clone my old hard drive; I wanted to start with a blank slate.
Now, as I'm re-installing the software, Logic accepts that same serial number that I used years ago, but Soundtrack Pro says that it's invalid. I know I've kept all the original info, and so as far as I know that's the only serial number that came in the box, and the only one I've ever had. Am I correct or mistaken in thinking that the same serial number should be good for all the different programs that came with Logic Studio?
I went ahead and re-installed the whole thing again, but that same problem persists.
Anybody know what I can do to get this working?

My puppy chewed up my XS key a few months ago....
This is what I was told by Logic Support...The serial number is located on a sticker that was attached to the plastic wrapping of your XS key. It can also be found on a slip of paper entitled " About this Software" which came in the original package. Although there is a serial number ( of sorts ) on a sticker on the bottom of the Logic box..it is NOT the serial number you seek.. as someone else already pointed out.
Other than that, my guess is that you'll have to replace your XSkey, and use that to upgrade to Logic8.
They replaced mine for FREE ( which was unexpected..since it was my puppy/my liability ).
If you can't find the serial number ( I could not )... call Logic support. I would bet they'll do whatever they can to help you out.

I lost my serial number FlashCs5 pro

I have Flash Cs5 pro for many years. I followed all the procedures for updating and at the time it happened smoothly. However, today, when I try to open the program, a window appears asking me the number of update. I no longer have this number, I lost many files when my previous PC broke. So I'm living this problem, every time ask me the number and I have not. And I can not open the program, I have a multitude of client work, projects to complete and can not use the program. I do not remember it at the time got the FlashCs5 pro, made my entry in the Adobe website. This must have been about six years, I can not remember, pis migrated Flash 8 to this and the worst, I can not upgrade to Flash 8 I have in CS5. Very critical situation. Please count on your help.

Wrong serial number premiere pro 2.0

I have premiere pro 2.0 installed on my computer but it doesn't work. I think I originally put in the wrong serial number. It doesn't let me change it no matter how many times I reinstall the program. Is it still possible to change the serial number?

No... you need to UN-install and start over
Also, you MUST download and use the SPECIAL VERSION from http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-activation-end-life.htm l because your original version will not work because the activation server no longer exists

When you install Acrobat, it will ask you for a serial number, or to install in trial or subscription mode. You need to choose the subscription mode and it will prompt you for your Adobe ID. Once you enter your Adobe ID and password, it will activate Adobe Acrobat XI.

Registration and Serial Number Premiere Pro 1.5

In 2004 or 5 I bought PP 1.5 in Miqami and after arriving home in Brasil I never registered my product. I wish to register it now but can not locate any of my original documents. If you bought the boxed set of Logic Studio 2.0 which includes LP9, then you cannot download it. You must use the disks that came as part of the boxed set... to install from.
If you bought the App Store version of Logic Pro 9 then go to the Mac App Store App, Sign into the Store using the same Apple ID you used to purchase LP originally, look under the Purchase Tab and you shouldl find LP9 ready and waiting for you to download and install.

If you bought the Boxed version of Logic then you have two basic choices....
1) If you still have your old comoputer and Logic Studio 2/Logic Pro 9 is installed on it.. Open up Logic and go to the Logic Pro menu option and choose About Logic and you will find your serial there (Assuming you bought the full version of Logic 9 DVD) If you bought the upgrade version of Logic Pro 9 then you will also need your Logic 8 serial as well..... which can be obtained the same way if you retained the original copy of Logic 8 on your old Mac.
2) Use the following form to contact Apple get issued a replacement serial for Logic Pro 9

If you bought your full version of Logic 9 from the App Store you don't need a serial (as it uses your existing Apple ID and Password to authenticate) and can simply open the App Store App on your new Mac, navigate to the purchased tab and redownload Logic 9 from there.

Logic won't recognize serial number

I migrated from an iMac running 10.6.8 to a Mac Mini Server running 10.7.1. I used migration assistant.
When I launch Logic (9.1.5) it asks me to register, and when I put in my serial number Logic just crashes and I'm asked if I want to reopen/submit a report, etc..
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Talked to Apple Support today and solved the problem, easily. First off, the tech recommended against using Migration Assistant for any of the Pro apps, and instead doing a clean install. My bad!
Anyhow, after trashing both SysID files in /Library/Application Support/Pro App Support/ (I think that was the path), then relaunching Logic, I was again prompted for my s/n but this time everything worked.

One last note: Migration Assistant didn't pull any of my Logic projects across to the new machine, so I guess I'll be doing some manual file transfers tonight...

Aperture requires the serial number each time

I transferred all the data and apps from my old 24" iMac to my new 27". Now every time I start Aperture, it demands that I input the serial number again.

Pro Applications do not migrate well. The first thing to try would be to reinstall Aperture; then it should suffice to enter the serial number once more, from and administrator account.
You may have migrated an old ProAppSystemID file, that needs removing, check, if you still have an old file "ProAppsSystemID" in your System Library.
Quit Aperture.
Go to your MacintoshHD and open the folder "Library", then "Application Support", then "ProApps".
Remove the File "ProAppsSystemID" to the Desktop, if it exist and restart Aperture.
Reenter your serial number, hopefully for the last time.
Sometimes Aperture writes this file to a temporary directory, when it cannot write to the Library. If the above does not work, look at the temporary directory /tmp
Use the Finder's "Go" menu
Go > Got to folder and enter /tmp into the textfield. If you see ProAppsSystemID there, move it to its proper location in /Library/Application Support/ProApps.
Aperture must be running, and you will have to wait a few minutes to be seeing the file appearing the /tmp directory.

I took the serial number from the "About" box when Logic was still installed but no good. The software was originally an upgrade, and I don't think I have the disks for the previous version. What do I do? This is important because I only use the computer for music. Thank you.

There's actually an even simpler solution that doesn't include buying a new version of Logic. He can use his original version easily. Of course, that depends if the OP knows how to effectively use his computer though...

Retrieval of Logic Pro 9 Serial Number after reinstallation of Mountain Lion

Help! I have a Macbook pro (2008- 15") which was getting very cluttered. So I made sure that all was backed up on Time Machine, I did restart cmd R, erased my hard drive and have reinstalled Mountain Lion from the internet. The reason for doing this was to reinstall just my music programmes, but this has not been straightforward.
In trying to re-install Logic Pro 9 (which was an upgrade from 8) it has asked me for the serial number which I CANNOT FIND ANYWHERE. I bought 9 from Regent Street in 2009, but cannot find the email that comfirmed purchase. Logic 8 I bought direct from Apple in 2008 on educational discount, and I do have an Apple ID. However record of purchases kept online seem only to go back 18 months. What can I do??

If you have no proof of purchase and no longer the original manual with the serial number, I think you are out of luck.

Logic pro 9 copied from my MACBOOK PRO to IMAC crashes on serial number entered

Please somebody help,
1. I have logic pro 9 on my Mac book Pro.
2. Ive got an IMAC and want to move it to that to work on instead.
3. I copied the logic pro 9 app to a Hard Drive and then onto my IMAC, and then opened it on my IMAC and my IMAC downloaded 2GB of updates .
4. It asked me for my name and serial number which i entered and is the same as whats on my Macbook.
5. when i press enter it crashes ,,,and i cant open it?

In that case, contact Apple directly and ask for their help...
Logic 7 had an XSkey as a physical dongle... so you must have had one of those if you started with Logic 6.... and Logic 8 came with the Logic Studio Boxed set so you must have a serial and physical disks for that.... even if it was an upgrade set... so if you are missing any or all of that then contacting Apple and asking for their assistance, is your only solution.
