Serial number not for a qualifying product?
I recently upgraded to CS6 Production Premium from PP CS5.5. I'm running the programs but everytime I open one of the programs in the suite I get this message: Serial Number Upgrade "serial number you provided is valid, but a qualifying production could not be found on this computer." I then choose Production Premium CS5.5 from the product list and enter my serial and then I get "this serial number is not for a qualifying product. Please try another." I quit the adobe registration program and I can still use my CS6 programs but it constantly pops up.
I've seen this sometimes when the languages do not match, between the earlier and the new product. Could you verify that you selected the correct language.

I get a page saying "serial number not for a qualifying product. Please try another. " during install. I upgraded from Design Standard CS5 to Design Standard CS6 .
Also, Chat is never available to me. 6 tries to no avail so far.

In so many words: That's BS. Only support can look into the customer database and they have to sort it out. Contact them again, escalate the case to the next level until you get someone qualified enough to resolve your issue.

Creative Suite 5.5 re-install; serial number not for a qualifying product
I have recently rebuilt my computer and need to re-install my creative suite 5.5 software. However when i do it gives me the error that the serial number is not for a qualifying product. I attempted to reslove via CS chat but was unable to get assitance due to it being "outdated". Any help would be appreciated!

Serial Number is not for a qualifying product
Hello!
I just purchased a new Windows 8 laptop on which I want to load my existing copy of CS6 (I have the CD). I deactivated it on my old computer and tried to load it on my new one. I'm receiving the following error message:
This serial number is not for a qualifying product. Please try another.
The only CS6 in the list of products to choose from is Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended and prior versions.
I verifed under my account on the adobe site that I had registered my copy of CS6. I'm really not sure what else to do but at this point I'm lost without my Photoshop!!!

I am trying to open a .indd file. I am running Adobe InDesign CS5. I got an error that plugins need to be updated. When I try to install the updates, I get the error that says: "Error "This serial number is not for a qualifying product..." when installing an upgrade or upsell..."
Can someone please help me with what I need to do to be able to open .indd files?

NickThose files were created in a later version of InDesign. Have the person that created them save them back via IDML or you’ll need to upgrade.

Upgrading to CS6 returns: "This serial number is not for a qualifying product"
I have CS5 and have been using it for about 2 years. The Serial number for CS5 it is registered to my adobe id.
So i decided to upgrade to CS6 today. I then registered that to my adobe id as well.
When i open CS6 and enter my new serial number, it tells me:
Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer
Which is strange because CS5 is currently installed and running on this computer
So it then prompts me to select a previous product that I own and enter the serial number for that. So I select CS5 and enter the serial number for my CS5 license.
However, it then tells me: "This serial number is not for a qualifying product. Please try another"
But it doesn't tell may any further details. I.e. Why is it not valid?
Can you help?

You can determine what type of serial number is registered under your account at http://www.adobe.com/. If you have verified that the CS5 serial number is a full version serial number or your previous full version serial number is still not accepted then please contact our support team directly at Contact Customer Care to verify the validity of the previous version serial number. -
I would like to install Creative Suite 5.5 on my new work computer and i erased the programm from another work pc. But while installing the programm on a new computer i get the error message: Error "This serial number is not for a qualifying product" | CS6, CS5.5, CS5. I have tried unsuccessfully to register 6+ times
I receive the message:
The SN is not recognized (error statement= "The serial number is not for a qualifying product. Please try another")
I have a total of about 5 sessions that amounts to about one hour trying to solve a problem, navigating your website, going into endless cycles, and have noticed there is no way to call a phone number to fix a problem.
Is this the new Adobe Paradigm?

Please adviseThe message means that you have an upgrade license. You just need to prove you are eligible by entering the serial number of the Acrobat 9 or X license that you have - that is the "qualifying" product. It is not asking you to enter the Acrobat XI license again, you already did that.

Computer crashed, reloaded CS5, says serial number not for qualifying product
Loaded CS5 on new computer successfully. loaded updates successfully.
Trying to load CS5 on 2nd computer (old computer with new Windows 7 installation) and after it loads and I try to install updates... the updates fail to load and I get the following error message:

I own The creative suite 5 production premium. I have upgraded my computer before and never had this problem. I recently upgraded computers and i can not install onto my new computer. disk 1 works fine. it then says to insert disk 2 to continue. I insert disc 2 and push continue. it takes approx. 2 seconds and says to insert disc 3 to continue. I insert disc 3 and hit continue. approx 2 seconds and it errors out. Help?

Your message indicates that you are trying to upgrade from one Acrobat version to another. You will need both serial numbers for the original (qualifying) product, as well as the new (upgraded) product.

Cannot upgrade serial number after download. 'This serial number is not for a qualifying product'. Trying to upgrade from ACS 5.5 Design Premium to ACS 6 Design Standard
start the installation of design premium cs5.5 just to make sure you're using the correct serial number. once your serial number is accepted you'll see a screen giving you the option to install none, some or all of the cs5.5 programs. at that point you can quit and not install anything having verified your cs5.5 serial number if you want nothing cs5.5 on your computer.
on the other hand, if your cs5.5 serial number is not accepted, you'll pinpoint the problem.
or, if your cs5.5 number is accepted, you could install a cs5.5 program and then install cs6. it should recognize you have a cs5.5 program installed and NOT prompt you for you cs5.5 serial number allowing you to continue with your cs6 installation. -

I own design standard creative suite 5 , and recently bought CS6 design standard. I get an error when I try to activate the software that I do not have a qualifying product. How can that be? I am using the correct serial number.
