Serial Number not recognized for Snow Leopard Up to Date

Not sure where to post this question as it pertains to Snow Leopard....
Just bought a new imac but its Serial Number is not being recognized on the Snow Leopard Up to Date page. The serial number is recognized elsewhere, such as the warranty check page.

That's a shame. But I suspect it's temporary. I think you get 90 days from the date of purchase to get the free upgrade. I assume that Apple will be better able to deal with this issue as we get closer to the release date.
Meanwhile, we are not Apple employee's and can not speak for the company or guess what the problem is. Apple does have a direct Feedback site that they do read and respond to:

Stock data of serial number not suitable for movement

We have a situation where we have had to put some serialized parts on a rework production order. When we are trying to bring them back into stock, we're getting a message that says "Stock data of serial number not suitable for movement." I'm guessing that this is because this serial number had existed in stock before (since this is a rework of an existing material/serial number.) We need to receive this back into stock using this same serial number. How is that possible?

hello,
to activate the serial numbers you first have to clear all the stock for this material (MVT 562 / 502 or other)
Than activate the serial in the material muster.
in your situation (if i understood correctly) what you need is:
1. disable the serial numbers for the material (move them to another material)
2. deactivate the serial number in the material master
3. get rid of all the stack - post it with 562 or 502
4. activate serial numbers
5. post the material back to stock - 561 / 501 - than the system will require a serial number for each unit

If you buy from Best Buy to go to your website, but it is not available. Is there any way to find out what the serial number would be for this product? Construction worker.

MIGO - GR - Others -- Serial Number Not saved for Movement Type : 561

Hello,
I am trying to post good receipt-other ( for movement type 561) using MIGO transaction. I have specified all required data.
Also depending on the item qty., I entered serial number in serial number tab.
Its creating document successfully. However if I try to display same document using MIGO, serial number is missing.
I tried to debug the code and I realized its not saving serial number itself.
For other movement type its creating document with correct serial number.
If I repeat same process using same data using transaction MB11 its posting successfully and I can see serial number using MIGO transaction as well.
One more thing which I've noticed is when I post document using MIGO, Account assignment details are missing. However with MB11 I can see account assignment data too.
Would be really appreciated if someone can help me on this. I dont know If I'm missing any configuration part here.

Address book and ical not working for snow leopard clients

We have upgraded our server to mountain lion from snow leopard.
At first glance all appears to have gone well, however, the ical and address book services don't appear to be working for snow leopard clients. These services DO appear to be working for lion clients.
Any ideas?

I also found these directions for Princeton's 2010 Exchange that might help. Did he set up the Address contacts & iCal Calenders were enabled when setting up the account in Mail?

Full version of Adobe Acrobat XI Pro for Mac - serial number not recognized

I just bought the full version of Adobe Acrobat XI Pro for Mac as a download. I installed it, but it does not recognize the serial number which Adobe sent me!! Does anyone know a solution to this bizarre problem?

Unfortunately, your suggestion doesn't resolve my problem. I never had an older version of Acrobat (9 or 10) installed on this computer, which is a completely new Mac.
The only Acrobat package I had previously is the TRIAL version of Acrobat Pro XI ...

External hard drive not recognized with Snow Leopard?

This isn't a new problem, but I finally can't avoid solving it any longer!! When I updated to Snow Leopard, my iMac stopped seeing my LaCie external hard drive (firewire). I've gone through the steps at the LaCie site and checked for updates from Apple, but no luck. I do see an "unknown device" in "About this Mac," but I can't get it to recognize it.
Has this problem been dealt with? Thanks in advance.

LaCie support is usually excellent, you might give them a call, if you can't find enough on their site.
Look in Disk Utility... is it mounted, or grayed out?
Does it show a volume or not (the indented listing under the drive icon)
If it's not mounted, try choosing it and using the mount icon.
Have you tried reformatting the drive?
Launch/Utilities/Terminal and enter this command at the prompt:diskutil listPress return. Note the number of the disk (far left column) you want to unmount.

Press return.
If it sees the disk, note the number of the disk (far left column) you want to mount.
Then, enter this command:
mount /dev/(number of disk)
Put in the number without parenthesis.
Press Return.

Serial number not recognized when installing.

I bought Acrobat Standard XI off the Adobe website. When installing the serial number is not recognized. The drop down box for selecting which product I bought has a selection for Standard X but not Standard XI.

I possess an A200 satellite laptop, and I am not able to find any driver for it on Toshiba site !!
- its serial number (X8172841K) is not recognized , the message is : "Sorry , your product cannot be found" [translated from French]
- the support site cannot detect my laptop model
- none of the drivers that I have downloaded (closest to A200) accept to install

If the serial number is not detected by Automatic detection you can find drivers manually.
Maybe you have the same A200 as friend of mine. His notebook has part number PSAE6E.
To find right drivers please visit Toshiba download and support page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Support Homepage and at the bottom you will find link Download drivers.
Go there and choose your notebook model with right short model number.
If you need more help please let me know.
BTW: have you tried to find right drivers on Toshiba France support page?

Maxtor One touch2 not recognized by Snow leopard

My maxtor one touch 2 is not recognized at all by snow leopard, it shows as connected in "about this mac"-"more info"-"USB" but thats where it ends. The drive worked very well in Tiger but seems to have been dumped as soon as I changed OS. Does anyone have an easy solution to this problem, I am no techno guru and need to have exact instructions. Please help

I'm having exactly the same problem with 2 of my Maxtor drives which I am connecting via Firewire.
They're recognised fine by my G4 Powerbook (that's running Tiger), but nothing is there on my iMac (runnning Snow Leopard).
They don't show in Disk Utility, nor in System Profiler.
Reading around in other places, there seems to be an awful lot of people having problems with drives being recognised in the last couple of months - does anyone know if this is something to do with an Apple update?
If it is, Snow Leopard has been more hassle than it's worth.
Any help at all would be much appreciated...

Design Standard CS 5.5 serial number not working for Photoshop

I am trying to install the Design Standard CS 5.5 but am having trouble with Photoshop. All of the programs installed and open correctly except for Photoshop. When I try to launch it, the Adobe Application Manager comes up saying that the serial number is "not valid for this product." The serial seemed to work during the install and both InDesign and Illustrator launch without any problems. I have also tryed uninstalling and then reinstalling Photoshop, but I still have the same problem. I am running Mac OS X 10.6.8.

Are you definitely installing Design Premium CS5, not a similar sounding Creative Suite? And not CS5.5?
