    I bought Acrobat Standard XI off the Adobe website.  When installing the serial number is not recognized.  The drop down box for selecting which product I bought has a selection for Standard X but not Standard XI.

    J’ai acheté LR 4 il y a 1 an avec le n° de série sur la boite. J’ai acheté l’upgrade pour LR 5 et je n’ai jamais pu installer la version définitive avec ce n° de série.Ce n° de série n'est pas valide. La durée version d’essai est terminée et donc je dois retourner à LR 4 pour continuer à travailler ? Pourquoi cela ne fonctionne pas?

    n° IEE2014000174985 mais je n'ai pas de trace d'un nouveau n° de série. Il n'est pas sur la facture, ni dans le logiciel?

    Just bought a new imac but its Serial Number is not being recognized on the Snow Leopard Up to Date page. The serial number is recognized elsewhere, such as the warranty check page.

    That's a shame. But I suspect it's temporary. I think you get 90 days from the date of purchase to get the free upgrade. I assume that Apple will be better able to deal with this issue as we get closer to the release date.
    Meanwhile, we are not Apple employee's and can not speak for the company or guess what the problem is. Apple does have a direct Feedback site that they do read and respond to:

  • Serial Number being recognized when updating!

    I tried to update Final Cut Studio via the downloads page, and after entering the serial number that is on the front of the booklet that came with my crossgrade discs, it says that that serial number that I entered is not valid. I checked numerous times, still does not work.

    You misunderstood, Zak. My comment wasn't specifically about the OP's situation.
    The FCP 5.1.2 update had a problem, and I'm not sure it was corrected in 5.1.4. If you downloaded 5.1.2 via Software Update, and choose Update and Keep Package, the package could not be used to update anything. Therefore, it was necessary to download it via the download website, if you wanted to be able to use it again.
    You can't download those older versions any longer, so if you have to reinstall, SU is the only option. If you have multiple computers to update, this can be a PITT.

  • IPod Shuffle's serial number not recognized...is this an issue?

    I accidentally hit Never Register in iTunes, so I decided to register my new iPod Shuffle at www.apple.com/register. Well, my shuffle's serial number is not recognized. 10 tries, and it doesn't seem to exist.
    Is this going to be an issue in the past? I've checked it again what iTunes has, the box and the device, and nothing works.

    well, im having the same problem..when i hooked up the ipod shuffle to te computer using the USB outlet, a pop-up came up and said that it malfunctioned and suggested that we get a new one. maybe thats your problem too?

  • PakeMaker 6.52 serial number not recongized when upgrading

    I have been using PageMaker 6.52 until my recent upgrade to Windows 7 which PageMaker will not run under.  I purchased a used copy of Indesign 2.0 (upgrade version) on eBay.  When trying to install, I get an error that the Indesign install program does not recogzine my PageMaker serial number.  I telephoned support and got nowhere when tried to explain the problem as the overseas call center did not understand the problem and language (English) was a barrier.
    I had ugraded my PageMaker several times over the years, and as I recall, PageMaker retained the original serial number.  The support center told me my serial number was for ver. 1.0 and not eligible for upgrade.  However, this is the correct serial number for my copy of 6.5 and this the number shown when PageMaker is running (Help - About).
    How can I get Indesign activated?  How can I talk to someone stateside that speaks understandable English?  Thank you for your help.

    You are on your own here with version 2.0 upgrade.
    This is an old problem and a known issue with PM 6 upgrades to InDesign not recognizing upgraded serial numbers of PM. Search the forums for more data from discussions on this (start here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/1285142#1285142)
    And I am afraid you are out of luck with Adobe on this as they only support the most recent version, ID CS4 (until CS5 ships shortly), at this time. If you can get any help from them on this count yourself lucky. There may be an Adobe info or data page on this in their Knowledge Base archives but you'll get that in any search you make within this web site.
    Also, as a caveat, InDesign didn't convert PM6 files well at all until version 5 (CS3), from what I read here on this forum. And ID version 2 isn't supported in Windows 7 (but it may run fine) so no love from Microsoft either.

  • Final Cut Serial number not recognized on Apple website

    When I try to log into the apple site to get the pro applications update for FC Studio, the system gives me this error message:
    "The serial number you entered is not valid. See the materials that came with your product for the correct serial number. Use uppercase letters when entering your serial number."
    I have tried every combination (dashes, no dashes, etc.) and I still cannot log in. I have already registered my version of FCP with Apple and cannot find any clear way to contact a human being at Apple to discuss this problem.
    My friend is also having this problem and he just bought Final Cut Studio 3.
    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Make sure you're interpreting zeros and Os correctly. If the SN has an uppercase o and you enter a zero, it will not accept it and vice versa. Unfortunately, Apple uses a sans serif font for the SN, which makes it difficult to differentiate certain characters.
    You can call AppleCare at 1-800-APL-CARE and explain your problem. Maybe if you offered to fax your serial number page from the FCS package, it would help. That's what I did for a support client of mine one time.

    I have a MacBook Pro (Build13A603) that recently started having trouble charging. It looks like there is a short in my power adapter. I purchased it from a Best Buy, and my extended warranty from there has already run out. I do not have Apple Care. I know sometimes Apple is able and/or willing to help out in these types of situations, but I have been trying to contact Apple Care, and when I try to provide my serial number the website does not recognize it. I have used the one from 'About This Mac' as well as the one laser etched on the bottom of my computer. Any other ideas how I may be able to get in touch with them to see if they just might replace the charger for me? The closest store to me is over 60 minutes away so any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

  • Qualifying product serial number not recognized as valid

    I am attempting to load my new CS6.  I selected CS3 as my qualifying product, but the screen message states that the CS3 serial number I entered is not from a qualifying product.  I entered the CS3 serial number directly from the CS3 case, doublechecked it and triplechecked it.  The serial number I entered is correct.  What do I do? 

    You need to contact Adobe Support either by chat or via phone when you have serial number and activation issues.

    If you purchased CS6 since January of this year CS3 is not an eligible version for upgrade.  It was prior to January, but not after.

  • Audition CS 5.5 says "serial number not valid" when starting, but all other products work?!

    I use CS 5.5 Production Premium for quite some time now.
    Today I tried to start Audition for the first time.
    It gives me a choice to continue to use as a trial or provide the serial number.
    When I enter my regular CS 5.5 s/n, it says "the serial number is not valid for this product".
    All other products work.
    What do I have to do to make Audition start?

  • 600MHz iMac Serial Number not Recognized!

    I just purchased a 600MHz iMac from ebay and Apple does not recognize the serial number! I tried going to www.apple.com/support and checking the status and I tried registering the product but I keep gettin this message:
    "We could not recognize the serial number you entered. Please re-enter it, making sure each letter or number is correct."
    The serial number is in the form: RN106xxxxLB
    Why is it not recognizing the SN?

    If it runs Mac OS X, look
    from Apple Menu > About This Mac (click-click-click the grey line that says "Version...").
    Is it the same number as the one found at this location?

    If it's not, there is a chance that one of the numbers is not properly recognized by Apple, since a motherboard replacement or something like that.

    I possess an A200 satellite laptop, and I am not able to find any driver for it on Toshiba site !!
    - its serial number (X8172841K) is not recognized , the message is : "Sorry , your product cannot be found" [translated from French]
    - the support site cannot detect my laptop model
    - none of the drivers that I have downloaded (closest to A200) accept to install
    Can u help me ?

    If the serial number is not detected by Automatic detection you can find drivers manually.
    Maybe you have the same A200 as friend of mine. His notebook has part number PSAE6E.
    To find right drivers please visit Toshiba download and support page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Support Homepage and at the bottom you will find link Download drivers.
    Go there and choose your notebook model with right short model number.
    If you need more help please let me know.
    BTW: have you tried to find right drivers on Toshiba France support page?
