Serial number not working after 1.5 years.

I purchased Adobe Suite through my college. It is now saying I have completed a trial... but I have a serial number that will not work. I have had the suite for over a year without problems until now.

You need to contact Adobe Support either by chat or via phone when you have serial number and activation issues.

    I wiped my desktop PC hard drive and installed Win 8.1. My PC runs fine. I downloaded and installed LR 4 with no problem. Activation is the issue.

    The most likely explanation is that you downloaded the Creative Cloud version of Lightroom instead of the standalone version of Lightroom (which you can download from here).
    If that doesn't work, you'd need to provide a lot more details, including version of Lightroom, operating system, and exactly what you are doing that doesn't work.

    The license is for two copies of Photoshop by one user on two different computers that can not be used at the same time.Contact Adobe customer service by phone.  Only they can help you.
    They will deactivate both copies of Photoshop.

         My computer died on me last January and I had to reinstall everything and after reinstalling lightroom 2 it would not accept the serial number that I had . I called adobe and after giving me several new serial numbers ( none that would work ) they finally issued me a 3.0 serial number to use after the Beta version went live .
         Well the serial number that they gave me for 3.0 doesn't work either . I am back to calling Adobe and while they are sympathetic and trying to help I am getting pretty frustrated since customer service has sent me to tech support again .
         Any way my question is anyone have a similar experience and if so what was your experience and how was it finally resolved

    Sorry, allow me to clarify.  You know when you log into your computer, you're in your user account with all of your settings?  Well user accounts can become corrupted.  If you uninstall LR, create a clean user account, and install LR while logged into that user account, it may leave behind whatever problems you're having - and if it works, it may be possible just to copy the correct files back to your normal account.  I haven't been Windows based for a few years, but I've dug up instructions for you: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial153.html

    I just wiped my macbook pro harddrive and upgraded to Lion OSX. I bought the CS5 Design Premium last year (in a case). Unfortunately, my discs are unavailable, but I do have the correct serial number. When I downloaded the CS5.5 Design premium trial (to plug in my serial number), it says it isn't valid. Is there a place that I can download the CS5 Design Premium Suite so that my serial number will work? Help! I'm a photographer and I need PS to work immediately!

    Maddiewilbur have you lost your installation media or is it just unavailable for the moment?  If you will have access to the installation media at a later time I would recommned installing the trial of Design Premium CS5.5 and then remove it and install CS5 once you have access to it.

  • Purchasing additional download bundle, serial number not working

    I got an email last Wednesday that said I was out of downloads. I followed the link, purchased some more and received an email from Adobe with a serial number. When I put the serial number in it says that "serial number not valid".
    I've gone through 20 layers of customer support at Adobe and nothing has been resolved. I tried the serial number agian this morning and still got the serial number is not valid.
    I need to get to the right person at Adobe.

  • Serial number not working in trial

    Hi there we received our serial number yesterday for After Effects CS4 (windows) and I have tried placing this code in the boxes provided (when the prompt appears on the trial version) but it tells me the number is incorrect. I have uninstalled the trial version from my machine and downloaded the version from my LWS area but it still comes up with the trail version and prompts.
    Can you please tell me what I need to do to rectify the problem?

    Try re-installing it in your admin account.  I had the same issue this evening while re-installing the Web Premium CS4.  I forgot that Adobe wants you to install their products in your admin account.  I logged off, logged into my admin account and the installer accepted the serial numbers.

  • Re-installing after macbook rebuild serial number not working

    My macbook had to be rebuilt due to a software problem. Lightroom 5 has been deleted. I tried re-installing lightroom (downloaded) and can use the trial version etc. However, when I tried to put my serial number in, it did not work. This is probably because it is on my desktop machine too.
    How can I contact adobe? Can they send a new serial number?

    Lightroom serial numbers are platform interdependent.
    You can use the same serial number on the Mac as well.
    Please make sure you are using the right serial number on the right installer.

    As the the useless live chat sent me here I will ask, but I can not see how 'peer help' can assist where live chat can not. And yes, I am very annoyed with live chat.

    Well, I contacted support again, and was told I would have a telephone call from them as it needed 'real time' problem solving. Great I thought, someone will help at last.
    So at the appointed time I was at the computer, phone to one side, coffee at the other, waiting for the call.
    I waited
    and waited
    and waited
    3 hours later I send a message to Adobe saying what I thought. Eventually after almost 5 hours after the promised call, someone phoned. Details confirmed, problem explained.
    RESULT! Well, no. 'we do not support PSE3' So why the £$*& did you agree to telephone? I stated the problem in the initial contact, including the version I was using. An email saying 'sorry we do not support PSE3' would have sufficed, but no, they gave the impression that they would give support, for which I was grateful (at the time, not now)
    So what do I think of Adobe product support?
    What support? They do not understand the meaning of the work, or customer service in general.

  • Photoshop CS5 serial number not working?

    I bought and downloaded Photoshop CS5 from this site about two years ago, and since then have purchased a new computer. I want install CS5 on this new computer, but my account isn't listing CS5 under my lists of products. When I try and register the serial number I found under my program's System Info, I get an error message that says my serial number isn't valid.
    A little while ago, adobe had an information leak and my account was one of the ones listed as possibly compromised- could this be the issue?
    If not, why won't it let me register CS5 to my account? I really want it on my new computer. I purchased the product legitimately and I don't want my money disappearing after only two years.

    Explain your situation to Customer Support, and see if you can submit some sort of proof. For example a credit card statement. Your bank can help you with that. See if your ISP can fish up the email.
    Also if you purchased it as an Educational discount, you might get in touch with that section.
    We are users and perhaps a Staff member may drop by, but for now that's the best advice.

  • Serial number not working with upgrade from production studio

    I have an old WinXP with the first Adobe CS Production Studio Premium that I've been using for more than six years.
    I recently had to reinstall my system and now I have an install error with serial number.  The Prod Studio Prem is an upgrade
    to the Video Collection Standard. It errors on the screen when it ask for the previous version of AfterEffect and Encore.
    I had this issue before. Adobe support provided me another number and it worked.
    The odd thing about it is the install asks for AE 3.0 or later and I have AE6.5. It also asks for Encore 1.0 or later and I have Encore 1.0 & 1.5. If I can remember back several year when I called ADOBE support they said even though I qualified for the upgrade the issue probably was with the previous AE standard serial number wasn't working in the install screen. I've lost the new serial numbers now and I'm unable to reinstall.
    I'm not upgrading until next year. How can I get this working until then?

    if you don't have the old version installed you'll be prompted for both the serial number of the old version and the upgrade.  you have to use the correct serials when prompted.
