Serial number not working. Help!

I am transferring my Photoshop CS5 from my old PC to my new PC. I deactivated the old PC and I have the serial number. I downloaded the two files I need from the 'CS5 download products' page. I entered my serial number in the Adobe Installer screen and it worked and started to install Photoshop. After it installed, I went to open Photoshop and it prompted me to enter my serial number again, so I did but this time it didn't work. It said the serial number was invalid for the product. Why did my serial number work to install it, but it won't work to open Photoshop? What do I need to do?

Then I would recommend either contacting our support team or try to register your software at http://www.adobe.com/. If you are able to register your software then there is likely a software issue preventing the serial number from being accepted. Before we proceed though we need to verify the serial number first.

The license is for two copies of Photoshop by one user on two different computers that can not be used at the same time.Contact Adobe customer service by phone. Only they can help you.

The most likely explanation is that you downloaded the Creative Cloud version of Lightroom instead of the standalone version of Lightroom (which you can download from here).
If that doesn't work, you'd need to provide a lot more details, including version of Lightroom, operating system, and exactly what you are doing that doesn't work.

Serial Number Not working for XSAN. PLEASE HELP!

When I purchased the XSAN software it was version 1.0 well I installed the software on all the machines and then did the updates to XSAN 1.2, but when I go to add clients serial numbers in XSAN ADMIN 1.2 it does the Metadata Controller (which is running the XSAN ADMIN program) just fine I can see the clients but when I enter my password it says "Valid Serial Number with No Expiration Date" so I click OK. Now it has a green light next to it, but when I click Save Settings it goes back to orange and give me the error "Error while writing settings (Invalid Serial Number)". Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

When I had an issue similar to yours, it was because I had typed the serial number in capital letters (just like the license showed) but it had to be in lower case. When I switched them it worked just fine.

Adobe CS5.5 Design Premium Serial Number Not Working

I just wiped my macbook pro harddrive and upgraded to Lion OSX. I bought the CS5 Design Premium last year (in a case). Unfortunately, my discs are unavailable, but I do have the correct serial number. When I downloaded the CS5.5 Design premium trial (to plug in my serial number), it says it isn't valid. Is there a place that I can download the CS5 Design Premium Suite so that my serial number will work? Help! I'm a photographer and I need PS to work immediately!

Maddiewilbur have you lost your installation media or is it just unavailable for the moment? If you will have access to the installation media at a later time I would recommned installing the trial of Design Premium CS5.5 and then remove it and install CS5 once you have access to it.

Purchasing additional download bundle, serial number not working

I got an email last Wednesday that said I was out of downloads. I followed the link, purchased some more and received an email from Adobe with a serial number. When I put the serial number in it says that "serial number not valid".
I've gone through 20 layers of customer support at Adobe and nothing has been resolved. I tried the serial number agian this morning and still got the serial number is not valid.
I need to get to the right person at Adobe.

I was given a link to re-install PSE 7 by the live chat team because my PC had to be wiped following a crash. Now I can't activate it as the serial number comes up invalid. Adobe eLearning suite 6.1 extended trial for Partners - Serial Number not working

We are new Adobe Certified Resellers. I was informed that via the Adobe Partner Connection portal I can install an NFR extended trial copy of Adobe eLearning suite 6.1 for demo and training purposes. So I downloaded this software (version 6.1 WIN) from the website above but the serial number provided on the same page is not working with the message "The serial number you entered is invalid. Please try again. If the problem persists contact support".I am sure that I am typing the correct one (as I find it on the web page), tried several times, also tried copy-paste to be sure.

I purchased Adobe Suite through my college. It is now saying I have completed a trial... but I have a serial number that will not work. I have had the suite for over a year without problems until now.

Serial number not working any suggestions

     My computer died on me last January and I had to reinstall everything and after reinstalling lightroom 2 it would not accept the serial number that I had . I called adobe and after giving me several new serial numbers ( none that would work ) they finally issued me a 3.0 serial number to use after the Beta version went live .
     Well the serial number that they gave me for 3.0 doesn't work either . I am back to calling Adobe and while they are sympathetic and trying to help I am getting pretty frustrated since customer service has sent me to tech support again .
     Any way my question is anyone have a similar experience and if so what was your experience and how was it finally resolved

Sorry, allow me to clarify. You know when you log into your computer, you're in your user account with all of your settings? Well user accounts can become corrupted. If you uninstall LR, create a clean user account, and install LR while logged into that user account, it may leave behind whatever problems you're having - and if it works, it may be possible just to copy the correct files back to your normal account. Serial number not working, what to do?

I purchased the CS5 Extended Software on eBay and the serial number on my box is not working. I am at a loss because I shelled out almost $400 for it and I still have no software. I already tried some of the Adobe troubleshooting suggestions but nothing has worked. Is there anything I can do? Or am I screwed?

It sounds as if you have been scammed by purchasing illegetimate software at a too-good-to-be-true price.
Photoshop Extended cannot be purchased legitimately for $400.
Seek compensation through PayPal / eBay ASAP.
