Serial number of old installation not accepted

I just bought an upgrade from Flash Builder 4 Premium (which is installed on my PC) to 4.7. I received the 4.7 serial, but it also needs the 4.0 serial, which I don't seem to be able to find.
Where can I find the 4.0 serial number (I am afraid I bought that copy some time ago on another Adobe ID, so I cannot find it there.).

Point your web browser to adobe.com and sign in the user thes link https://www.adobe.com/account/my-products-services.html the should list your Adobe products. You should see CS6 there clicking on the CS6 should retrieve and display your CS4 serial number. Make sure the is the number you are using when installing CS6. If you have a subscription for Creative cloud you should also see that listed in your Adobe Products in that case use Photoshop CS6 menu Help>Activate use the same Adobe User id and Password that hast the subscription during the activation process. Not serial number is used for Creative Cloud software your sign in should activate you products.

Aperture3 upgrade -- Why Serial number of Aperture 2 not accepted?

I had Aperture 2.1.4 working regularly, off course with the relative original serial number.
I downloaded the trial Aperture 3 and today I bought the the upgrade.
After installing the upgrade I entered the upgrade serial number and asked me for the original serial number of the aperture2 and when I enter it correctly it sends me an Alert "serial number you entered is not valid". I am sure it is the correct number.

Then I entered my previous Aperture version serial number
(I am sure put in the correct number)
But keeps telling me it is an invalid number.

Typed in my correct serial number when doing a restore, but it is not being accepted, so I cannot open Adobe Photoshop CS3.

Serial number is not accepted to start program. serial number is off of pkg as requested.

Call Applecare, though with FCS years out of date, they may want to charge you to trouble shoot.
A couple of things to verify before you call them -
1. Make sure you have a full (not upgrade) version.
2. Make sure you are entering the numbers correctly. look VERY closely at the numbers and letters to make sure you don't mistake a 1 for I and 0 for O.
I find it useful to read them out load when entering. It may be helpful to have someone else read/ check the serial along with you.

Qualifying product serial number for upgrade is not accepted

I am currently re-installing Adobe Creative Suite 5 on my new computer.
The serial number was accepted, however the qualifying product (Creative Suite 2) is not accepted:

The yellow exclamation next to the serial number indicates that the serial number is valid but the upgrade path is not.
The serial number for CS2 that you have entered is a Volume license and I assume that you are upgrading to a retail version from Volume license.

I purhased PS Elements 4.0 many years ago but haven't used it for years. It will not run on my newer mac, so i downloaded PSE12 trial version. I typed my serial number to register but it was invalid. Purchased CS3, installed it on a new laptop. Serial number provided by Adobe not accepted by Dreamweaver.

I have a new laptop. I logged into my Adobe account and obtained the serial number for CS3. I also downloaded the applications. When starting Dreamweaver, it asks for the serial number, but when entered, does not recognize the number as a valid serial number.

If you have a retail license and need to download a fresh copy of the installation files then they are available at Download CS3 products.

Serial Number is correct but not accepted

When I try to enter my iPod's S/N, it is always rejected even though I'm completely sure I'm entering it right. I'v even looking at the box's, the firmware's, the back, and what it shows up as in iTunes (all are the same) and I've entered it corrected lots of times and incorrected a few (such as replacing '0' with 'O's and stuff) but to no avail. What should I do to register etc.?

Did you register your iPod when you received it? If not, that may explain why the number is not accepted.
If you have registered it and are certain you have entered everything correct (using zeros instead of the letter "O" etc), you should probably head to an Apple store and talk to one of the Geniuses.

There is no serial number for CC Cloud versions. They are authenticated via your Adobe ID.
Sign in to your Cloud account with your Adobe ID and download the software via the Cloud app.

I would first go to your Adobe Account and make sure that all info in it was correct and then match up all S/N's with your records. If you find any problems, then make corrections.
If all matches, but does not work, contact Adobe and see if they still sell replacement DVD's for CS2. Adobe usually does, for a small price. Still, you will need your correct S/N, so you will probably be back on the phone to Adobe. When I once used them for a S/N problem, they were quick and did a perfect job.

My old PC crashed and died, and I am unable to deactivate the licence of Photoshop Elements 7.
I re-installed Photoshop Elements 7 via a trial download from Adobe website onto my new PC, Windows 8.1 single language.

Thank you Benjamin MItchley. I reviewed the chat log and I can confirm that they are correct we do not provide installation support for Photoshop Elements 7 due to the age of the software title. Photoshop Elements 7 also does not support activation so there is no risk that you were unable to deactivate the software on your previous computer.
I am showing the serial number under your account was provided from an equipment manufacturer. It is possible there may have been a customized installer for that version. Have you contacted the computer manufacturer to obtain the installation files for the copy of Photoshop Elements 7 included with your computer?
Since you did not migrate/transfer over any files it is unlikely there is a software issue preventing the installation. You can try running the CC Cleaner Tool to ensure that no corrupt licensing files may be preventing the installation process. ACROBAT XL PRO SERIAL NUMBER ISSUES AFTER INSTALLATION

Bought a new computer with Windows 8 OS. Went to my account in Adobe and downloaded my Acrobat XL Pro. Installation seemed to go well. However, the first time I used the software I was prompted to enter the serial number. I did and now I ALWAYS get the following message any time I use the software: Serial Number is valid but not for this product. Choose from one of the products given. The only product that somewhat matches in the drop down box is the Acrobat XL Standard. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still receive the same message every time I use it. The software does seem to work, but seems to respond slower and I always have to click the QUIT button on the message above in order to move forward.
Frustrated that I cannot find a support phone number to get help with this issue.

You purchased (or were sold) an upgrade, at reduced price. During install it wants the serial of the qualifying product.
The qualifying product is the older version of Acrobat which you must own before buying an upgrade. So just type THAT old serial number, when asked.
