Serial number on adobe acrobat xl pro invaild

Hi
my laptop had the adobe acrobat xl pro installed previously as the hardrive had malfunctioned so i had to buy a new hardrive and install everything again as i had not backed up.
I tried to re install the adobe xl pro again with the serial number i had previously but it say its invalid......
what should i do ?

Serial number problem with Acrobat 9 Pro

I removed Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro from a workstation and determined later that I didn't have the CDs with the serial number to reinstall. I did not check the option for it to remove the serial number when I unisntalled so I am hopeful that it is stored somewhere in the registry. I have looked there myself but haven't seen anything in the obvious places. Does anyone know where the serial number is stored?

Did you get the S/N or the number to provide in order to get access to the S/N. They have changed some of the activation processes and it includes a step of having a number to get the other number. Sounds kind of weird, but that may be what you are seeing. I think they have implemented that process, but am not sure. I don't due activation on a regular basis and so am not aware of the implementation of a change that has been mentioned.

I understand that you no longer will activate Acrobat 7.0 Pro...so I went to adobe.com\go\activation and downloaned the file for Acrobat 7.0 pro...which is file 22020134.exe and noted the serial number provided which is <removed by mod - kglad>..however I am getting the Invalid serial number error whether i try to use the serial number you provided or the serial number on the cd.

that is the correct serial number. recheck your downloaded file and recheck the number you used.

J'ai reçu hier les programmes Adobe Acrobat Pro XI et Illustrator CS6 par mon Université. J'ai reçu aussi les deux licences qui vont avec. Maintenant quand j'essaie de introduire les deux licences un message "we are unable to validate this serial number……." s'affiche. Je devrais contacter le service client, mais il y a pas de numéro de telephone et la chat marche jamais…..
Est ce que quelqu'un a déjà une solution ?
Les deux programemes vont être installe sur un Macbook Pro 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 avec une version du OsX 10.8.5.

I just purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro, and I cannot find the serial number. I have tried everything on the Adobe email, and on the webpage. I downloaded the product from Adobe...LOST

The staff may be able to help you, but we users can't do anything except send you to Adobe. However, once the product is registered you can get it from Adobe easily. I am not sure if purchasing from the Store automatically registers you. I simply created another tab in my browser while logged in here and went to the upper right corner. There is an item listed as "Welcome, <your name>" with a small down arrow to the right giving
Check the "My products and services" and if it is registered it will show the SN. Otherwise, log in to where you ordered Acrobat and there should be a link there to your SN. If you missed the download, you should be able to log in for it or get it from http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html.
This process is basically the same one that Sara pointed out.

I must do this by using process of elimination on all working computers, looking up each serial number (or first 20 of the 24 characters). Can someone help me out?

Keep getting prompt for serial number on Trial Acrobat XI Pro

The other day I purchased the upgrade to Acrobat XI Pro for US $199. After downloading and installing, the activation failed because my Acrobat Pro 9 serial number turned out to be Beta, and therefore not eligible for the upgrade.
So I uninstalled XI Pro, ran Adobe Uninstaller Tool, rebooted, then downloaded/installed Acrobat XI Pro Trial. But when I try to run Trial version, it keeps prompting me with the same Serial Number Upgrade dialog box that I got with the upgrade that didn't accept my Pro 9 serial number because it was Beta.
How do I prevent XI Pro Trial from prompting for Upgrade Serial Number so I can use Trial before buying? I have never been able to run the Trial version, and am getting desperate because I need to try that before I purchase.

The prompt I receive is "left over" from the XI Pro UPGRADE version. There's a dropdown box where you choose the version you're upgrading from (Win Pro 9), then add the serial number, which is either approved or declined - in my case, declined because my Pro 9 was a Beta version (which I didn't know).
It's that Upgrade version dialog that keeps popping up when I try to get into the Trial version, forcing me to choose from the same list of versions as I did when trying to get into the Upgrade version.
If that dialog box left over from the Upgrade installation pops up with the Trial install, how do I know it won't also pop up if/when I purchase the Full version? I really want to get this all cleared up and working correctly (i.e., actually using the Trial version) before risking more trouble by introducing another element. No amount of Windows uninstalling plus Adobe Uninstaller Tool for all Acrobat products (plus, of course, rebooting) has overcome this.
And, just to be clear: I've never been able to "activate" the Trial version of Pro XI, so it's not like it's looking at this as a second install of Trial.
Meanwhile, I've again uninstalled all versions of Acrobat and reinstalled my Pro 9 to continue working on a project. But I know if I reinstall XI Pro Trial, that same dialog box from the Upgrade (forcing me to choose a version + serial number I'm upgrading from) will pop up, as I've been through that before.
The whole thing could have been avoided if only Adobe had forced me to enter the serial number for my Pro 9 BEFORE paying for, downloading and installing the XI Pro Upgrade.

My CreativeCloud manager won't connect to the internet. As a result it can't verify my serial number for Adobe Acrobat XI.

I followed the trouble-shooting steps for this issue, to no avail (Sign in, activation, or connection errors | CS5.5 and later, Acrobat DC). The back story is that I was an independent contractor working for a company and had my own CreativeCloud account. I've since been hired and my boss has opted to purchase a license for Acrobat instead of a CC subscription. He bought the license a few months back, right around the time I cancelled my subscription. But now, the machine I have been using this whole time (PC, Windows 7) is saying I need to renew my subscription when I attempt to run Acrobat. When I click the links, 'Subscription Manager' or 'Have a different Adobe ID?', I get a spinning wheel that eventually times out and tells me 'Please connect to the internet and retry'. At one point I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it, at which point it asked me for a serial number, which I have. I entered the number and as it was trying to verify, it timed out and gave me the same 'Renew your subscription' message.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. This has been very frustrating.
