Serial number to copy from Delivery to Shipment

Hi,
I am using HU management i create outbound delivery for shipping where i update the serial number in delivery
I create shipment and pack this delivery with HU in shipment, here while packing the delivery my serial number form delivery is not automatically flowing to HU i have to manually reassign it after packing the HU
I want to system to copy the serial number here from delivery item is there any config for this ?Or Badi , exit ?

If your Sloc is HU managed then need to maintain serial numbers in HU only.
i think you are doing packing at shipment level, HU should packed and serial numbers assigned then finally assigned to shipment document.

How to copy Partners from Delivery to Shipment?

I know that a Shipment is used usually to group multiple deliveries.
If I have the same partners, in the delivery that I want to group, is there a way to configure copy control from Delivery to Shipment?

Hi Tula,
There is currently no provision in the standard coding to
copy partners from the delivery into the shipment header.
The only exception to this is the Partner :'Forwarding Agent', that can be copied from the Delivery into the Shipment.
For this to be done, you should set up suitable copy routines in the customizing for the shipment type. Also the Forwarding agent should be unique in this case.
You can assign your own partner functions , provided that they are set up correctly in transaction VOPA.
The Partner functions for the Shipment stages have to be maintained
separately in a Partner determination procedure specific to Shipment
stages.
The standard partner determination procedure for Shipment stages is
'TRS1':Shipment Leg. You can find this in the customizing transaction VOPA for the Object Transport.
You can add the required partner functions in the partner procedure TRS1, so that they are available for the shipment stages.

Serial number entry after posting delivery doc......

hi experts....
we have a requirement in which in the standard sales cycle of Sales order->delivery document posting ( PGI)-> invoice billing the client wants that serial number entry (which is done at the time of PGI) should be done after invoicing(at the end of the day) because as per the business practice of the client, its not practically feasible for the client to enter serial numbers at the time of selling the finished material. The client manually records the serial numbers on the invoice copy and enters the serial numbers for the respective invoices at the end of the day.
Now while testing the client scenario we found that once PGI & invoicing has been done without entering the serial number for the material, the system does not accept any serial number assignment for that material after the completion of sales cycle.
So is there any solution in which serial number can be entered for a material whose PGI and invoicing has been completed?

Hello,
As you know the system may not allow to enter the serial number details in the delivery --> Extras --> Serial numbers field, once the delivery is completely PGI'ed and invoiced.
But you may change the same in the table by debug mode. You need to update serial number in the material document in the table level also. Contact your ABAP expert, he may be able to guide you properly.

If I see in the LIPS table we have the field like SERNR but we dont have data in that field.
But in the VL03n transaction Serial Number exists for the same delivery.

I have determined the text from delivery to billing corretly.
but it is not copied from delivery to billing.
Is there any settings in copy control kindly suggest.

Use T.Code VOTXN"
Choose on Billing document - Header.
Click on Change button.
Select your text procedure.
You can know your procedure by clicking on the tab Text procedure assignment.
Click on Text ID's in Textprocedure.
Select your text id.Check the tick mark under "Refer/Duplicate" field.
And also check your access seqence

The App Store version of Aperture will never ask for a serial number so something got confused on your system. Did you ever have a non App Store version of Aperture installed? Did you download the trial version for some reason?
You can try moving Aperture from the Application folder to the desktop and then going to the App Store. Log in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase Aperture and you should be able to download it again.

SHPCON serial number updates item on delivery but not item in HU

I am using SHPCON to update the item on delivery with serial numbers. After that I use SHPCON to pack that same item in a handling unit. From the pack screen I should be able to select the item and hit the serial number button and see the serial number. Instead it says there is no serial number on the item. I populated E1EDL11 under E1EDL24 to get the serial number on the item. I also tried during packing populating E1EDL46 under the HU item E1EDL44 but that doesn't work either.
Anybody run into this issue?

Serial number problem upgrading from Tryout and 5.1 to 5.5 CS Standard

Long one...!
I bought a new iMac and CS5.5 Design Standard. Installed it. Didn't have my education serial at the time so ran as trial. All good.
Received serial from Adobe. Put it in and Indesign was OK with it and upgraded to 5.5, but others stayed as Tryouts. Reinstalled, same problem.
Contacted Adobe who said the serial was for Windows. After much messing around they issued another serial. Put it in. It changed when I put the disk in to try and reload. (Last four digit box changes itself to XXX). Other two packages went from Tryout to 5.1.
Uninstalled whole package and reinstalled using the code Adobe Support gave me. Indesign back as 5.5 but other two still only 5.1
Why might this be?

When I inserted the disk it came up with the serial loaded as ...............7313-xxx
Deleted all and reinstalled, IT! changed my code as above to ...............6201 and all seemed promising….... etc.!

Have you bothered to do any research at all? Not every app was upgrade to 5.5. Those that weren’t will next be upgraded to CS6.

I need to find my serial number for IPOD from itunes

Can anyone help me locate my ipod serial number from i tunes. I have been sent some infor on how to do this but I have found it confusing as i am not technical. Can you tell me step by step how to do it in simple non jargon fashion. Thanks

iTunes
Connect iPod to your computer.
When iPod appears in iTunes, select it on the left side of the iTunes window under Devices.
Click the Summary tab, and your iPod's serial number will display on screen. For iPod shuffle (1st and 2nd generation), click the Settings tab.
If your iPod is not currently connected to your computer, but has been connected to your iTunes library before, follow these instructions:
Hold down the Control key and choose Help > About iTunes (Windows) or iTunes > About iTunes (Mac).
Release the Control key.
As the iTunes and QuickTime version information scrolls, you will see the serial number of the last connected iPod as well as the last connected iPhone's serial number and IMEI.
Tips:
Hold down the Option key (Shift key in Windows) to reverse the scrolling.
Press the Space bar to pause the scrolling.
You can copy this information to the Clipboard and and paste it into a document.
In Mac OS X, choose Edit > Copy (or Command-C).
In Windows, press Control-C.
Note: In iTunes, when you view the iPod serial number, you can choose Edit > Copy to put the serial number on the Clipboard. You can then paste the serial number into an email or web page (for registration, for example).

Serial number issue in Network delivery

Hi
when I am doing PGI from a delivery created from network through CNS0 for serialised material there is no automatic check for the serial number if the particular sl no is already delivered.
For example I am doing PGI for MAT1 and entering sl no 01 in one delivery through VL02N and again do the PGI from another delivery with same same sl no system is showing no warning message.
But if I do the PGI from delivery created from a sales order the system is giving warning message if i enter serial number for the second time.
Please suggest.

Check OIS2 transaction for the serial No profile attachedwith the material master - whether stockcheck validation is there or not.
And for the procedures like MMSL and SDSL you have serial number check activated or not.
It would be appropriate if you have given the waring message/ alsocheck its attributes in OVA2 transaction on shopping end.

PO number not copied from Contract to Sales order

Hi Gurus,
when i try to create a sales order w.r.t a contract the Po number is not copying from cintract to sales order.
also the PO item is not copying from contract to sales orde.
Could u tell me the reason.

I'm not sure though but try this one this might jus help.
Go to VTAA,
select the target & Source doc type.
Go to header and check the COMPLETE REFERENCE CHECK BOX,
Which says it copies the whole of the reference doc from the
source doc to the target doc.
I jus hope this will sole your problem.

Invalid Serial number during upgrade from 10.4.11 to 10.5

I upgraded our Xserve from 10.4.11 to 10.5 and when it first boots after the install, I get to the enter serial number screen. At this point the 10.5 serial number I enter goes through validating and then says invalid serial number format. I have several serial numbers I have tried so I know that a wrong serial is not the cause. I have tried connecting from another computer with server admin and changing the serial number that way, which when, I do shows the 10.4 serial number but then says invalid serial when entering the 10.5 serial. It seems like it is confused on what the serial number or format should be. Is there a way to manually install a serial number or at least get past it so I can then install the most recent update and hope that fixes this issue? I see there were some similar issues with the 10.5.8 update but I think the install dvd is only 10.5 or 10.5.1 maybe.

Well I finally got past it by ssh'ing into the server while it was at the serial number page and issuing it this command and specifying my serial number
/System/Library/ServerSetup/serversetup -setServerSerialNumber xsvr-xxx-xxx-x-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx-x
I then rebooted the server and it came back to the same enter serial number screen but upon entering it one more time, it validated and is happy now.
