Serial number valid, but no qualifying product?
I bought Acrobat XI Pro ($199) and download the trial application. when I enter serial number, return message "Serial number is valid but a qualify product could not be found on this computer. I have another computer tower right next to this one that has Acrobat X (but I cannot retrieve existing serial number. On my Adobe Account it only indicates that I have Adobe ExportPDF annual. How do I get XI Pro to work or get a refund of my money?
If you registered AA X, then you should be able to get the SN from Adobe Support.

States that serial # is valid but no qualifying product on computer
trying to register adobe acrobat xi pro and message came up stating that the serial # is valid but no qualifying product on the computer - it is downloaded
I have the same problem also with CS6 extended.
does the same apply when reinstalling an upgrade? I reinstalled the upgrade only on win8 with the correct password but also get the message about product not qualifying. Would I have to reinstall the original as well? -
I am trying to reinstall CS5 from my disks (I also tried an online download) and continue to get this error:
The serial number you entered is valid but a qualifying product cannot be found on this computer.
I don't have a serial number for an earlier version and when I click the "your account page," I get a 413 error (Header length too large).
What should I do?Hi Adobe Team,
I have emailed you my phone number, but am still desperately waiting for an answer to my question. I have also emailed you a few times, and really need a solution ASAP as I have a big project due.

Purchased and downloaded/installed Captivate 7 but get 'serial number valid but' error
Purchased and downloaded/installed Captivate 7 but get 'serial number valid but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer' error. I have checked serial number, checked that I purchased correct version (7) direct and not an upgrade but the drop down list tha tthe window shows is only previous 6 versions and it is 7 I purchased/installed and is opening.
Captivate thinks you bought an upgrade. Adobe Support will have to help you.
I went through this (with an upgrade) but my qualifying product was also an upgrade, and Adobe didn't list my original product (CP2). So there was no way to put in all the info.
And, just FYI, keep that serial number handy. Even after Adobe Support fixed my Captivate so that it will run, every once in awhile...for no apparent reason...Captivate will start in "trial" mode and I have to re-enter the serial number. It always works after I do that. But, it's a pain so I now keep the serial number posted on my bulletin board for handy reference.

I am attempting to reinstall CS6 Design Standard after a computer upgrade, however the Application Manager won't take my serial number. In particular, when I enter the serial number, I receive the following error message:
Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer.
When I enter the serial number for one of the products that should be eligible for the upgrade, I receive the error message:
This serial number is not for a qualifying product. Please try another.
I've attempted this on a couple of machines with the same result. I've also attempted to install CS6 Design Standard after installing numerous other products: CS5 Design Premium, CS5 Design Standard, CS3 Design Standard... and none of these were found as qualifying products.
I'm attempting this on OS X 10.9.3, on numerous MacBook Pro configurations from the past four years. It is plugged into the network, and the connection is active. I haven't seen anything in Console that is related.
Is there someone from Adobe that I can contact to get verification of this Serial Number, and what product it would be attached to?
Thanks,
shane. The Serial Number you have is a upgrade Serial Number from a older version.
So when you try to install, you have to insert the Serial Number for CS6 Design Standard and on the next screen, you need to choose the old product from drop down list and enter the Serial Number for that.
It is not necessary to install the old application before installing CS6 Design Standard , all you need is the Serial Number for the old version.
If still you have issue, you can contact the support as mentioned by Steve.

After 6 tries to load Photoshop CS6 on my new laptop, I keep getting the following message after I enter my valid serial number: "Serial number you provided is valid but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer." What I'm, trying to do is download the qualifying product which I purchased just a year ago? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I contacted Adobe support Chat and they confirmed the serial number and gave me a response code number to enter. Once that was entered the product downloaded immediately. The whole process took 10 minutes. Thank you for your response. I'm all good now.

Error msg " The serial no you entered is valid, but a qualifying product cannot be found on this computer" appears. Can't reinstall CS5.5 onto Macbook pro after Hard disc crashed & was changed.
It is not clear if you understand what that message is indicating. It is telling you that you need to identify the older version of whatever CS5.5 upgrade you are installing to prove that you qualify for the upgrade. This could be CS5, CS4, etc.

I am trying to activate our adobe in-design and we are getting a message "serial number you provided is valid but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer"
Hi there!
Are you certain that the serial number is for InDesign? And the correct version?
Please feel free to PM me if you wish to verify the serial number.
Thanks,

I just bought and installed Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, but when I open it, or access a PDF file, I get the error message "Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer."
The list of products on the drop down list that comes with this message includes Adobe Acrobat XI Standard and Adobe Acrobat X Pro Macintosh, but doesn't include Adobe Pro XI for Windows. Selecting either of those, and using my serial number, fails, of course. As a result, I can't run my newly purchased program, or access any PDFs.
Please tell me what to do.

[email protected]Chuck you have placed Order for Acrobat Upgrade if you don't have any previous version of Acrobat than you need to cancel this order and need to buy a full version.

I have a PC with windows 7 installed. Acrobat X reader and Acrobat XI Pro trial version run fine. I have purchased Acrobat XI Standard and there is a serial number in my account. Acrobat XI Standard installs fine but I receive the error message after putting my serial number in, "Serial number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer."
The message identifies that you have purchased an upgrade version of the applications and it is asking you to identify the previous version of that application that you are upgrading from and then to provide its serial number.
If you did not intend to purchase an upgrade version then you probably need to cancel that and purchase it at full price. -
I re-downloaded CS6 after cleaning my computer and when I enter the Serial Number I get this message "Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer". From other posts I saw that someone contacted support but I can't find a number anywhere that I can call. Hoping someone can help me ASAP due to these programs being essential for my business.
You can try contacting Support thru chat though I do not know if they are available on weekends.
For the link below click the Still Need Help? option in the blue area at the bottom and choose the chat option...

I get the warning: "The serial number you entered is valid, but a qualifying product cannot be found on this computer." I have CS2 on my M:/ not my C:/, how do I get the Setup.exe to find it there?
Having a similar issue,
I purchased an acrobat upgrade for my Mac OS 10.7.3. I have the CS4 version and now I wanted Acrobat 10. Entered the first serial number no problem, the second serial number won't allow me to register the product. Even after a reinstall of Acrobat 9 just to verify the serial number was correct. Is there a stand-alone serial number that I am unaware of? I can't find it in the CS4 Design Premium collection packaging...
Gautham K, You make it sound like it's a one or the other when entering the old serial number. On my system you have a dropdown to choose the current version you have currently installed on your machine and then the serial. The "next" button stays greyed out.
Additionally adobe "call back" and "schedule call back" pages are down on the web site currently. -
Hello ,
I am trying to activate my Flash Builder 4.7 I but I an receiving the message "Flash Builder 4.7 Serial number you provided is valid, but no qualifying product is found on this computer".
So what can I do. Do I have to install first some older version or something different?
Kind Regards,
Dimitar MarinovI am seeing exactly the same issue. I have "FlashBuilder 4.6 Standard Edition" installed on my computer and have been using it for over two years. I purchased the upgrade to "4.7 Standard Edition" but it will not let me install. I enter the serial number associated with the upgrade I purchased on 7/23/14. I then receive a message saying "Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer." I am given a way to select the qualifying product I already own so I use the drop down menu to select "Adobe Flash Builder 4 Standard" and enter the serial number that I get from my adobe account's "order history" page. My order history shows "Adobe Flash Builder 4.5 Standard Edition US$249.00 Full, Mac/Win, English, Download" and a serial number. I enter that serial number and get a message saying "That serial number is not for a qualifying product. Please try another". It seems like this should just work.
So... there is a link to "Customer Support" in that same dialog, but that leads to a general support page that eventually led me to this page. I'm stumped. What should I do? -
When I try to launch the product, it says the Serial Number is valid but a qualifying product couldnt be found on the computer..same error others are reporting, I have been waiting for over 1 month and have not been able to get an anwer .
You purchased the upgrade version and the serial number of the qualifying product is needed to complete the install. If it can not find a qualifying product installed on the machine, it should be asking you for the SN of that product, not the SN of the new install.
