Serial Number Won't Recognize for Upgrade to LP9

I'm really really confused. I purchased LP8 some time ago, and I went to apple and picked up the $199.00 upgrade. When I started to install it asked me to enter my serial number from my "softwre booklet included in my product box" but there wasn't one in the the upgrade box, so I used my Serial Number from LP8?
Even if this isn't what I should have done when, I set up an appointment to speak w/ an apple representative. But it asked me to enter my serial number for my product I had a question about...and it wouldn't recognize the serial from LP8 in the apple customer help server?
Any suggestions? Or should I just call Monday?

In your upgrade there's 2 packages, one containing the DVD's, the other containing booklets.
One booklet called "*Logic Studio - Installing Your Software*" has your Logic 9 Upgrade serial number on the back.

    First be sure it is a serial number and not a redemption code. The serial number will have 24 digits (no letters) beginning with 1057. If that's not what you have, here's how to use a redemption code to obtain a serial number:

    I'm very annoyed about the fact that I payed for Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium 5 (EDU version) and now I'm not able to use it on my new Mac. The Support team (Chat) from Adobe told me several times that the product/serial or whatever was canceled but this doesn't help me to get the product working and I won't pay again for this software. So what's the reason for cancellation? I can't see reasons for this and I don't understand why Support team can't help me. Already found Error "The serial number is not valid for this product" | Creative Suite but this doesn't helped me.

    Maybe this is also useful... They told me I canceld this by myself which is not the truth. I had a Windows machine and used Creative Cloud as well but I only canceld the Cloud, not my Serial Number for Production Premium...
    So who is able to reactivate my Serial Number so that I'm able to use my product?

    trying to install lightroom 4 on my laptop. The serial number won't work, doesn't even seem like the right number of digits.

    A Lightroom serial number should consist of 6 groups of 4 digits with no letters, for a total of 24 digits and the first four digits are 1160.   Or at least this is the pattern I see for my LR purchases over the years, where they are are individual licneses, not Educational or Team or Enterprise. 
    How and where did you buy LR?  If it was a box in a store, perhaps what you’re seeing is a redemption code that needs to be converted to a serial number using this website:

    If you have FCPX (10) you can upgrade for free at the MacApp Store.
    Did you click "proxy media" when importing? That will help playback.

    If you did anything other than install the software (transfer, migrate, etc) then you need to install it properly.

  • My serial number won't register online !!

    My serial number won't register online! Every single time I try and register it and get to Step 6, it says:
    "Please review the list of products that will be registered. An asterisk next to a product indicates that the product will be entered into our records, but its serial number or marketing part number could not be recognized."
    So does this mean it cannot be registered or does it mean it is registered? I know for sure its the right serial number. I've entered it about a million times and it keeps coming up as that.
    I've tried 2 weeks ago, and a week ago and again today. The same thing comes up every single time. Also I cannot check how many days I have left on my warranty on the apple site because it says:
    "Our records indicate that this product has not been registered. Please register this product today."
    So can anyone help me? Or is anyone having the same type of error like me?

    Let us see if we can resolve this issue...
    Let us go through the typical drill....
    1. Does the problem exist with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
    2. Are you working with a pen and tablet instead of a mouse?
    3. Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed and are you running the programs as administrator?
    4. Is your video card/graphics card driver up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card?
    5. Are you running the program with an active Internet connection? What computer browser are you using for the download
    of replacement installation files? Have you tried another for the download - such as Internet Explorer or Firefox?
    Suggestions
    1. Uninstall the program the typical Control Panel way
    2. Do a free ccleaner run through (regular and registry cleaning parts) to get rid of leftovers from incomplete installs/reinstalls

    3. Install the Premiere Elements 13 tryout from the following web site and insert your purchased serial number in them during
    installation.

    4. Install the 13.1 Update from an opened project's Help Menu/Updates.
    5. If all else fails, try creating a new user account with administrative privileges and installing and trying to run Premiere Elements 13 from there.
    If you check the Event Viewer/Windows Logs and its Application, do you see any description for the cause of the problems on the dates when
    the problem presented?

    I am getting a bit concerned about what is happening in your situation. Yesterday you posted your question in at least two different forums, one of them being here in the Premiere Elements Forum.
    Don't Have Serial Number for Premiere, Only Photoshop?
    Wherever you posted, the reply was to contact Adobe via its Adobe Chat. It is the only one who can sort out this matter for you.
    In the thread cited above I offered to help you with the difficulties that you were having visualizing the Adobe Chat in its web page. I was waiting for your follow up on that in the above thread. Instead, I find your same question in a new Adobe Premiere Elements Forum thread this afternoon with no refer the prior threads or prior recommendations given you.
    I will also mention again...when you buy the Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements bundled in one packaging and with installation files for each on the same installation disc, each program has its own serial number. The Photoshop Elements serial number does not work for Premiere Elements and vice versa. The serial numbers are on labels on a box which houses the installation disc envelope(s). So, if you purchased both programs and found the Photoshop Elements serial number, then the Premiere Elements serial number should be in a label right underneath the label with the serial number for Photoshop Elements. I recall writing this in your yesterday's thread on this matter.
    The moderator will no doubt be along shortly to close or delete this thread. So, just in case, please bookmark your yesterday's thread cited above so that we can continue this communication which is trying to help you.

    No, installing Photoshop alone would do, that would also install Bridge on your computer.  But you do have to download the whole-suite download to install Photoshop from it.  The individual Photoshop download will never accept your suite serial number.
    Incidentally, the "suite" concept is a fabrication of Adobe marketing and bean-counting types.  The engineering teams are totally independent of each other, they are not only in different buildings but in different cities and states of the American Union, even in different countries.
    The fact that they have little if any communication among them is highlighted by requests occasionally made in these forums by top Adobe engineers to let the other teams know when there are problems in one application that impact our workflow in another one.

    In case you bought your program from these firms like Amazon this "serial number" obtained from them is not a serial number, only a code with which you can request a serial number from Adobe.
    The following part, so I just see at least ceased to exist on my Adobe website, everything plays out in the link from above. I let it there as an info:
    Here you have to go through your "Adobe Store", and look for the button "Serial Number Request". Fill in the form and, after a while you will get a "real" serial number.
