Serial number you provided is valid, but a qualifying could not be found on this computer

I want to install Encore from the Adobe CS6 Production Premium that I own but when I enter my password, it says "Serial number you provided is valid, but a qualifying could not be found on this computer". Another user had this problem but it was resolved privatly. How can I use my software?

You are trying to install Production Premium CS6 upgrade version which is asking for previous version of this production.
Fortunately you have the production premium CS5 full version also purchased & registered.
You need to install that serial number ir resrespective of the fact whether it is installed on this system or not.
You can get the serial number in your account of www.adobe.com.

  • Error message " The serial number you entered is valid, but a qualifying product annoy be found on this computer" appears. Unable to reinstall CS5.5 on my macbook pro after Hard disk crashed & was replaced.

Error msg " The serial no you entered is valid, but a qualifying product cannot be found on this computer" appears. Can't reinstall CS5.5 onto Macbook pro after Hard disc crashed & was changed.

It is not clear if you understand what that message is indicating.  It is telling you that you need to identify the older version of whatever CS5.5 upgrade you are installing to prove that you qualify for the upgrade.  This could be CS5, CS4, etc.

  • Installing 2nd copy of CS5 on a laptop, getting "the serial number you entered is valid but a qualifying product cannot be found on this computer."

    Any help?

That means you are installing an upgrade version.  It is asking you to prove you own an earlier version that qualifies you to use the upgrade version.  Since it cannot finds opne on the machine you need to identify which version you are upgrading from and provide its serial number.

  • I get the warning: "The serial number you entered is valid, but a qualifying product cannot be found

I get the warning: "The serial number you entered is valid, but a qualifying product cannot be found on this computer."  I have CS2 on my M:/ not my C:/, how do I get the Setup.exe to find it there?

    Having a similar issue,
I purchased an acrobat upgrade for my Mac OS 10.7.3. I have the CS4 version and now I wanted Acrobat 10. Entered the first serial number no problem, the second serial number won't allow me to register the product. Even after a reinstall of Acrobat 9 just to verify the serial number was correct. Is there a stand-alone serial number that I am unaware of? I can't find it in the CS4 Design Premium collection packaging...
Gautham K, You make it sound like it's a one or the other when entering the old serial number. On my system you have a dropdown to choose the current version you have currently installed on your machine and then the serial. The "next" button stays greyed out.
Additionally adobe "call back" and "schedule call back" pages are down on the web site currently.

After 6 tries to load Photoshop CS6 on my new laptop, I keep getting the following message after I enter my valid serial number: "Serial number you provided is valid but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer."  What I'm, trying to do is download the qualifying product which I purchased just a year ago?  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I contacted Adobe support Chat and they confirmed the serial number and gave me a response code number to enter. Once that was entered the product downloaded immediately. The whole process took 10 minutes.  Thank you for your response. I'm all good now.

  • Installed Xl Pro but get message Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer

I just bought and installed Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, but when I open it, or access a PDF file, I get the error message "Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer."
The list of products on the drop down list that comes with this message includes Adobe Acrobat XI Standard and Adobe Acrobat X Pro Macintosh, but doesn't include Adobe Pro XI for Windows. Selecting either of those, and using my serial number, fails, of course. As a result, I can't run my newly purchased program, or access any PDFs.
Please tell me what to do.

Chuck you have placed Order for Acrobat Upgrade if you don't have any previous version of Acrobat than you need to cancel this order and need to buy a full version.

  • I receive message "Serial number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer" when I try and install Acrobat XI Standard

I have a PC with windows 7 installed.  Acrobat X reader and Acrobat XI Pro trial version run fine.  I have purchased Acrobat XI Standard and there is a serial number in my account.  Acrobat XI Standard installs fine but I receive the error message after putting my serial number in, "Serial number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer."

The message identifies that you have purchased an upgrade version of the applications and it is asking you to identify the previous version of that application that you are upgrading from and then to provide its serial number.
If you did not intend to purchase an upgrade version then you probably need to cancel that and purchase it at full price.

  • Flash Builder 4.7 Serial number you provided is valid, but no qualifying product is found on this computer

    Hello ,
I am trying to activate my Flash Builder 4.7 I but I an receiving  the message "Flash Builder 4.7 Serial number you provided is valid, but no qualifying product is found on this computer".
So what can I do. Do I have to install first some older version or something different?
    Kind Regards,
    Dimitar Marinov

I am seeing exactly the same issue.  I have "FlashBuilder 4.6 Standard Edition" installed on my computer and have been using it for over two years.  I purchased the upgrade to "4.7 Standard Edition" but it will not let me install.  I enter the serial number associated with the upgrade I purchased on 7/23/14.  I then receive a message saying "Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer."  I am given a way to select the qualifying product I already own so I use the drop down menu to select "Adobe Flash Builder 4 Standard" and enter the serial number that I get from my adobe account's "order history" page.  My order history shows "Adobe Flash Builder 4.5 Standard Edition US$249.00  Full, Mac/Win, English, Download" and a serial number. I enter that serial number and get a message saying "That serial number is not for a qualifying product.  Please try another". It seems like this should just work.
So... there is a link to "Customer Support" in that same dialog, but that leads to a general support page that eventually led me to this page.  I'm stumped.  What should I do?

  • I got my Photoshop CS6 to the Installer and once it has me put in my serial number, it is telling me "The serial number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer.

Isn't that the whole point? Aren't I trying to download and install photoshop CS6? I don't understand this. Can someone PLEASE help me install this damn thing?? I unzipped it all, and attempted to install. I got my serial number from my account online. What am I doing wrong?

your cs6 serial number is an upgrade from a previous version.  after entering your cs6 serial number you should be prompted for the previous version's serial number.
enter the correct number at the correct time and installation should proceed.

  • "Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer" when upgrading from LR5 to 6

I just downloaded desktop version of LR6 (upgrade). I (unfortunately) have more then one email address associated with Adobe account. I "think" that the last purchase of 5 (upgrade from 4) might be associated with one of the other email addresses. I have atempted to logon to these other "accounts", and cannot. I have done "forgot password" but do not get the email from Adobe.
Any suggestions would be most welcomed!

  • Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer

can't figure out how to fix this problem

you have an upgrade serial number.  after entering it you should select your qualifying (previous version) product.  you will then be prompted for the qualifying product's serial number.
enter the correct number at the correct time and installation will proceed.

  • SERIAL NUMBER YOU PROVIDED IS VALID BUT A QAULIFYING PRODUCT COULD NOT BE FOUND ON THIS COMPUTER

I HAVE DOWNLOADED ACORBAT XI PRO AND WHEN I CLICK ON ICON ON MY DESK TOP THIS APPEARS
SERIAL NUMBER YOU PROVIDED IS VALID BUT A QUALIFYING PRODUCT COULD NOT BE FOUND ON THIS COMPUTER
    HELP?

    Hi elizabethr49128712,
Did you upgrade from a previous version of Acrobat?  The "qualifying product" is the older version that you owned before you purchased the upgrade.  It is what qualifies you to use the less expensive upgrade version. So you need to select the older version and provide its serial number to prove that you qualify for using the upgrade.
