Serial Numbers Not Listed on Identification Chart

I bought a few used emacs. The last three characters in the serial numbers are not listed in the apple identification chart. They are "SCF" & "QJA".
How can I tell what emacs I have?
The hard drives were wiped with dban, and I can't get them to boot from OS X install disks. They start to boot and go to a gray screen with the apple and "gear" then garbage appears in the bottom middle of the screen and it freezes.
I see the answer often "Use the discs that came with the computer." How can I when I can't tell what computer I have, and they came without any discs.
I have tried booting from several different OS versions, so I can access disc utilities to reformat the HD, but none seem to work.
Thanks for any help.

I'm nervous about posting a serial number on a non-Apple site. There may be another way.
Our eMac 700 has a sticker on the inside of the optical drive door that has serial number, ethernet address AND a third line has the complete description of the computer as it was shipped. On ours, that line starts with "G4 700/..." This will show the processor speed--a good place to start. Here's an image of that sticker from that Apple article:
The third line says the computer shipped with a 1.25G processor, 256MB RAM, an 80GB hard drive, and has a DVD-writable optical drive and a 56K modem.
We have a later eMac which we bought from Apple as a refurb. That is shown on the label but not the other info. Refurbs of that generation commonly start with the letter "R."
I hope the price of these units was very cheap as any Mac with a wiped hard drive and no install/restore disks is a candidate for "Doorstop of the Year" unless you can find the proper disks. And proper systems disks are expensive and must match the computer variant, or be the more expensive full retail install disks (~ US$130).
Install/restore disks that shipped with a particular model are gray; full retail install disks are black. Can you contact the seller about getting the proper disks?

  • Nikon Serial Numbers - not importing in LR1.4.1

I've noticed that serial numbers are not being loaded into LR metadata for my Nikon D300 (or D70 & D70s bodies either).  While I normally shoot Raw, I've also done Raw+JPEG and just JPEG with similar results.  Oddly, there is one lone image with my D300 that did import the serial number (which really makes this issue stand out).
I've seen that an update to Camera Raw 4.5 fixes this for Bridge, but also that LR doesn't use ACR.  Incidentally, I do have CS3 loaded, but usually don't use ACR to open Raw in it; rather I take a TIFF from LR to keep the cataloging linked.  The D300 is running the original firmware; the D70's are running the latest firmware.  I'm running on OS X 10.5.6.  The LR option to "Make defaults specific to camera serial number" has been checked on.
    Thanks,
    Richard

One thing I question is, would upgrading enable me to fix the existing 10K files that imported wrongly?  I know I can flag to re-read the metadata from file, but that overwrites more than I want to fix here.

Damn this forum software!  I composed a response and was LOGGED OUT as I tried to post the message.  So, let me try again.
The first thing to do is to import a few D300 images iinto a new catalog using 1.4.1.
Download version 2.3 and open the new catalog (this will CHANGE the catalog format).  My guess is that your serial number will be there.  If not, and you really need the serial number, you will have to import all the D300 image again using 2.3.
Note that you may have to generate all previews again if you upgrade to 2.3.  I had to do that for some catalogs but not all.  The symptom that there is a problem is the persistence of the '...' on all images when you open a converted catalog.

  • Serial Numbers Not Valid

Does anyone know why the serial numbers of both my wireless keyboard and mighty mouse are not recognized here: https://selfsolve.apple.com/ ?
Just for knowing: I didn't bought them with my mac, but just some months after...

    Hello:
As far as I know, Apple does not store peripheral serial numbers in its database.

  • Lightroom 5.7 just installed, asking for serial number, not listed in online account info

My online account info shows serial numbers for versions 2,3, and 4 of Lightroom, but not 5.  I've been using 5.2 for about a year, since I signed up for the cc photography bundle.  My cc desktop app shows only PS cc and PS 2014 installed.  How can I get a valid serial number to activate the LR 5.7 I just installed as an update?

I have the same thing happen to me. Every time I start Aperture, it asks for the license. Once I have entered the license key it lets me use the application. However, the next time I use the application again, i get the same problem. I have tried reinstalling the application, and am asked for the license key at the beginning of the install and again once the package is started. To no avail. And I get no other messages.
I called Apple Support, and after booking a call with a support person (a Genius?), I got one who, after reading the summary of my problem in the service request, said simply "this is for Aperture? Aperture is a Microsoft product, you have to call Microsoft". And that was that.
    Please, anyone have any ideas?

  • Serial Numbers not accepted

I am trying to install Adobe Photoshop CS5 and asked Adobe to send me my serial number.  The program won't accept the serial number.  Now what?

Is it the same serial number which is registered under your account at http://www.adobe.com/?  You can find directions on how to locate this information at http://forums.adobe.com/message/3987968#3987968.

  • How to get the serial Numbers issued for an STO

    Hi,
I created my own STO and mapped a serialised material for the same using transaction. I increased the stock by issuing serial numbers. The /SYCLO/MM_DOPURCHASEORDER_GET BAPI returns the PO header, item and longtext details. I want the serial numbers which are issued to the STO and the list of serial numbers for which the receipts has been done.
I want to know how to get the serial numbers which are issued to the STO throught the standard function module. I want only the issued serial numbers not the one for which the receipts has been done.
I tried using the standard BAPI, "BAPI_PO_GETDETAIL1" to get the serial number collection. But the FM is not returning the issued serial number as well as the list of serial numbers for which the receipts has been done. It is returning only the PO history in which the list of document number are present.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Mohan.

    Hi,
Using the transaction "MB1C" and movement type "561", I filled the required details such as Material Number, Quantity, Storage Location and Batch. After filling all these details, when I press enter, it will ask for me to enter the serial numbers equal to the quantity specified. I entered the serial numbers by selecting the available serial numbers for that particular material by pressing F4 help.
Please let me know if you need any more inputs in this regards.
    Thanks,
    Mohan.

  • Delete serial numbers from inbound delivery

which is the best way to delete serial numbers(not manually) from inbound delivery other than writing a VL32N BDC. is there any FM or BAPI to do this? I've tried WS_DELIVERY_UPDATE and SERNR_DEL_FROM_DOCU, but they are not working. any suggestions/tips please.
    thanks
    Sam

There was no data relating to serial numbers in the system. It rarely happens that FMs whose name and description almost fits our purpose doesn't work. Nevertheless it happens.
Coming back to your point, I think SERNR_DEL_FROM_DOCUMENT should work. Did you check the changing parameter T_SMESG ? Is it informative ?
Also check tables SERNR and R_SERNR.
Other way (but a circuitous way) to check is just before deleting the serial numbers do a '/h' and in debugging find out what Function Modules does SAP call before deleting. You can simulate the same scenario and test it.
You can also check if any classes are available to serve the same purpose.

  • Delivery notes and serial numbers

    Hi
I have a simple SQL question.
How do I get the serial numbers in "plain SQL"?
The SDK "Help Center" shows that I can get the delivey notes from the ODLN table and then dig into the DLN1 rows and get the list of items. However, serial numbers are within the OSRI table (OSRI.IntrSerial).
How can I "bridge" DLN1 with OSRI? Or, how do I get all serial numbers related to an item of a delivery note in "simple SQL selects"?

    Hi Vieri.
You have to link to table SRI1 where saves the transactions you made with transactional documents where includes items with serial numbers. The query could be as follows:
    SELECT ODLN.DOCDATE, ODLN.DOCNUM, OSRI.SUPPSERIAL  FROM OSRI
    JOIN SRI1 ON (SRI1.SYSSERIAL = OSRI.SYSSERIAL)
    JOIN ODLN ON (ODLN.DOCENTRY = SRI1.BASEENTRY)
    JOIN DLN1 ON (DLN1.ITEMCODE = OSRI.ITEMCODE)
    WHERE ODLN.DOCENTRY = 5
    ORDER BY ODLN.DOCDATE DESC
I don´t know by the moment if via SDK you can read this information.
    I hope it helps.
    Best regards.

  • Serial Numbers and Delivery not automated.

"The serial number field on the delivery is only a text field and requires user input. The actual serial numbers shipped on the delivery are not put in this field automatically by the system as you know. This is how it works. The serial number data is stored in different tables, OSRI and SRI1 and linked to the delivery document."
We have been manually typing the S/N into the delivery form so that we can have it print packing lists and invoices. Once we select the S/N for the delivery it should automatically update the delivery form.
The Delivery form does not automatically fill in the S/N once we select a s/n. Here is a scenario
1.)Select a Sales Order that has an item that requires a s/n.
    2.) Copy SO to Delivery
3.) Click Add or put the cursor in the proper row of the s/n column and hit enter. A new window showing available S/N should appear.
4.) Select the S/N, assign to this SO and click Update then OK.
5.) Repeat if more then 1 item requires a s/n.
    6) When done,  click ADD and a new Delivery ticket is created. Note at this time the S/N are not showing in the Delivery Form.
    7) You can now click Print Preview and it will show the Packing List along with a page for serial numbers. Also a Crystal Report Packing list is generated, but the s/nu2019s are not listed.
The only way we can get s/nu2019s to show on the Delivery form and in Crystal .Reports is to MANUALLY type the s/n into the Delivery form. We want to avoid typing the data, potential for typou2019s. This should be something the software  does for us.

We're wondering the same thing. Would a bar code scanner work? The data would have to be displayed on a PC or something where it could be recorded.
    Yes and no.
We have a small Bluetooth barcode scanner.  Works well if the bar codes were printed better.  I mean, the bar codes for switches/routers are "readable" but for wireless access points, you would need several attempts to get it to read.
Alternatively, you can read the bar codes from the box.  I only use this as a "last resort" because I have seen, in two occasions, that the codes in the box and the the ones from the appliance don't match.

  • Picking list customized with serial numbers

    Hi,
I'm looking for a solution on this.
Right now my company has serial numbers activated in the storage and production, this will change but until then i need to find a solution.
I want to customize our picking list so that material that has a serial number will be choosen when eiter 1. are picked from the system or 2. that it is possible just to pick the a certain amount of a material and later at the change of components, then to put on the serial number. I think no. 1 sounds the easiest, but how do i customize this, because today it is not possible.
    We do not have WM.
Hope someone can help with this.

  • Serial Number, no email, not listed.

I want to register my new product (Adobe CC Photoshop/Lightroom) but I never received an email with my serial number and CC is not listed as a product on my profile.  Where else can I get my serial number?

Cloud programs do not use serial numbers... you log in to your paid Cloud account to download & install & activate... you MAY need to log out of the Cloud and restart your computer and log back in to the Cloud for things to work

  • IDOC message type WMMBXY not including Serial numbers in GR material documents when created with reference to an Inbound delivery

    Hello,
We currently have an inbound ALE process (message type WMMBXY and basic type WMMBID02) to post GR's against inbound delivery. If the inbound delivery item is maintained with serial numbers, we want those serial numbers to be pulled into the goods movement material document (and stored in SER03).
Currently segment E1MBXYJ is maintained with the inbound delivery number in field VLIEF_AVIS and Inbound delivery item number in field
VBELP_AVIS. In segment E1MBXYI, no purchase order is assigned and the fields EBELN and EBELP are blank. The movement indicator (KZBEW) has the value 'B'.
Even after making the above settings, the serial number(s) maintained on the Inbound delivery item do not get saved to the material document.I did look at OSS note 833603 (Solution for 2 - GR for Inbound delivery) and we have followed the same settings. This works when there is no serial number in the Inbound delivery. However if we have serial numbers, the IDOC posts successfully, however the material documents in MB03 do not have any serial numbers copied over from the Inbound delivery where the serial numbers are definitely assigned.
Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Ashvin
    P.S
If we manually create the GR via MIGO, the serial numbers are automatically applied to the GR material document. This is what we want to accomplish via the above IDoc process.

    Hi
Try with enhancement MWMIDO08. See note 833603 - EDI: Goods receipt for stock transport order for further information.
    I hope this helps you

  • I do not have cs3, cs2, or cs1 illustrator. But i just purchased a new cs4 for my ibook g4, how can i install without previous serial numbers?

Hello...I'm still kind of fresh to the Apple world.  I did not know that you needed previous apps to add an old one.  In my pc days, you just cleared your drive.  Help!  I hope I didn't blow my money on an old laptop and new program!!!!

    Mattie,
When you buy an Adobe application second hand, you need a licence transfer through Adobe. The (final) application cannot have been used for any kind of upgrade, but it may be an upgrade itself and require serial numbers from the one(s) that went before it.

Here is the Adobe page for downloading CS4:
