Serial numbers profile deletion - for mateiral

Hi,
For some materials serial number profile has been activated in WORK SCHEDULING VIEW in material master.using this some materials has been assigned serial numbers.
the present condition is that they dont want to go with serial numebrs for that materials . so how can i delete the serial number profile for that materials. if i
delete in material master it is not allowing me to do.
please suggest me if any possibility is there

If any transaction has been done on the material master then its not possible to delete the sr. no. profile.What you can do that create a new code and change the description of this old material with a new material codwe(Only for info.)Also, you can block the material for any further processing using Cross plant status at client level or at plant level.

Take a Backup of your live server, make a test environment and do this.
Clear the Messages in INBOX of SAP.
Also, Modify the Change Log to 10 instead of 99 in
Adminstration > System initiallisation > General Setting > Services > History / Log to 10.

How do I obtain new serial numbers that work for CS5 InDesign on Yosemite?

I purchased CS5 from Apple in 2010 and worked with it on various MacBooks and all has been fine until I moved to a new computer with Yosemite. Serial numbers are no longer accepted. Adobe Chat no longer supports "old" software like this! Help is needed here

Laptop was stolen and I don't have serial numbers written down for police.

I had some one take my laptop while I was away from the house. I know I registered the laptop, is there a way I could find out my past information? I mean, find out what the serial numbers were by entering my name? Anything would be helpful.

Actually, the serial number is recorded on the original box from Apple that housed the iPad when it was first sold.

. Assign the profile in the material master data in Work scheduling view field Serial Number Profile MARC-SERNP (see in FERT, .HALB, FHMI, PROD, KMAT)
. IQ01. Creation of the serial Lumber linked to the material.

I purchased Adobe Creative Suite 5 Web Premium with the education discount in 2010. My computer crashed and I am trying to install the software on my new computer. I do not have the serial numbers anywhere. For some reason, the Adobe Acrobat 9 serial number was saved in my Adobe Account. However, the remainder of the applications, which were installed on the same day, were not saved in my account? So now, I have no way of installing anything except Adobe Acrobat 9. Is there a way to have a new serial number issued to you? Or a way for Adobe to use my Acrobat 9 serial number to track down the others? I have all the installation files. Is it hidden in one of those files possibly?

R12 - API to Create Serial Numbers for Ordered Item in Receipt

Hello All,
I got a requirement to create PO Receipt using PL/SQL code. For that i have created PL/SQL code to insert data in following Interface tables,
a) rcv_headers_interface
b) rcv_transactions_interface
After inserting data in Interface table executed Concurrent Program "Receiving Transaction Processor" to process data from Interface table to Base Table. This process is working perfectly fine for "Non-Catalog" requests. But if i try to process any PO having Inventory Item whose Serial Control is set to "At Receipt" then i got following error at Interface table,
"Fail to validate serials".
To resolve this issue i need to create and process serial number for Ordered Item selected to Receive. Can anyone guide me regarding how can I generate Serial Numbers using API for PO Receipts.

Hi,
Just populate mtl_serial_numbers_temp table correctly (by specifying transaction_temp_id = RTI.interface_transaction_id)
and serial number range in fm_serial_number - to_serial_number respectively.
You may entermultiple MSNT records with same transaction_temp_id.
You may need to populate PRODUCT_TRANSACTION_ID = RTI.interface_transaction_id and PRODUCT_CODE = 'RCV'.
Oracle will create all the serial numbers for you when the records get processed.

I have downloaded the CS2 program to replace my old CS program and copied the serial number exactly as they show it on the download page but when I type it in, it says the number is incorrect.

the posted serial numbers have worked for many others. double check that you're using the serial number that matches the installation file you downloaded.

In table SER05, the list of serial number details can be obtained.key the order noin ser05 table, get field OBJKNR, then pass this OBJKNR in table OBJK .

SER01 Serial numbers assigned to a delivery
SER02 Serial numbers assigned to a guarentee
SER03 Serial numbers assigned to a material document
SER04 Serial numbers assigned to an inspection lot
SER05 Serial numbers for a production order
SER06 Serial numbers for Handling Units
SER07 Serial numbers for Stocktaking
SER08 serial numbers for Orders (SD)
The assignment of serial numbers to a production order can be done either via transaction CO02 or at the latest when the GR from Production is made.

I'm having trouble getting the correct serial numbers via SQL.
From PHP I run the following query to get the Delivery Notes:

While I loop through the results I then try to grab the serial numbers. I tried this:

but it gives me incoherent results compared to what appears in the SAP b1 client. For ex., some serial numbers are fine but in other cases I get more serial numbers than accounted for (article quantity = 1 but get 2 serial numbers; in SAP B1 client only one of the two serial numbers appears, as expected).
So I then modified the query and added a check for the CardCode:
SELECT OSRI.IntrSerial FROM OSRI INNER JOIN SRI1 ON ( (SRI1.SysSerial = OSRI.SysSerial) AND (SRI1.BaseNum = ".$row['DocNum'].") AND (SRI1.CardCode = '".$_POST["sapcode"]."') ) INNER JOIN DLN1 ON (DLN1.DocEntry = SRI1.BaseEntry) WHERE ( (OSRI.CardCode = '".$_POST["sapcode"]."') AND (DLN1.DocEntry = ".$row['DocEntry'].") AND (DLN1.ItemCode = OSRI.ItemCode) AND (DLN1.ItemCode = '".$row['ItemCode']."') ) ORDER BY OSRI.IntrSerial
This query is slightly better in the sense that at least I don't get serial numbers that are not supposed to be there (eg. if quantity=1 I will not get 2 serial numbers as in the previous query). However, in some cases it works as expected and in other delivery notes it doesn't because it simply doesn't list the serial numbers (which where found in the first query).
It might be because the CardCode field isn't always thoroughly set?
If so, is it just a "user problem" so I should tell my company to review the way they fill SAP data?
Or am I doing the wrong query?
(The SDK doc regarding OSRI is confusing as it doesn't even point to SRI1 and I don't fully understand the relationships)

you can catch (using MS SQL Profiler) the query which is executed by SBO once you click on serial nambers report from Delivery Note form.
this is one of the ways to get a solution quickly.

it is not possible to change the serial number profile once the serial numbers are existed for material .you can however create a separate serial no profile without serialization procedure and assign the same to the material

Serial number profile is maintained in the material master for a particular material which flows from IMG > Basic Functions
> Serial Numbers > Determine serial number profiles.
Serial numbers are required for unique identification of the material. before the goods issue happens and the material is despatched, the material is scanned for the serial number.
Serial numbers are maintained for a material which is picked scanning of the serial number. (to see the serial number for a particular material, go to MMBE and enter the material and execute. Click on the batch, Go to environment and say display serial numbers). The serial numbers can be created in IQ01 for a material and the status of the serial number can be seen in IQ03. ECUS represents that the material is sold, ESTO represents that the material ia in stores and AVLB represents that the number is available.
For a combination of material and serial number, there is an equipment number. Th equipment number can be created in IE01 and can be viewed in IE03.
