Serious autosaving problems (data being lost)

I wasn't sure which was the appropriate forum section to post this, but I figure I'd start here since I noticed this probelm after upgrading to Mavericks.
I do most of my work for my law practice on my MacBook Air. Except for open cases and files, most of my documents are archived on a 1TB drive installed in my Mac Pro. That hard drive is shared on my office network. The office network is simple: just a ATT U-Verse modem connected to an Airport Extreme and a couple of ethernet hubs. My MacBook Air normally is connected over wifi.
Anyway, I rarely access the archived files, but when I do, I open them in Pages, and I may or may not make some changes. Yesterday, I tried editing a couple of .pages documents. Pages natually tried to autosave, but it told me that another application was using the file and the changes could not be saved. It gave me the option to "save anyway," which I selected, but that failed and the error message that popped up insisted that I close the docuemnt. This happened for both of the documents I was working on, however... on one document only the changes were lost, but on the other docuemnt something was corrupted and the document could not be opened after that.
Like I said, I'm running the latest version of Mavericks on both my MacBook Air and the Mac Pro. The shared storage drive in the Mac Pro hasn't been formatted or anything like that since Snow Leopard.

So I would use APEX_COLLECTION (there is some information in APEX documentation).
Read all data you need to keep after submit and save them to your collection. Then, if validation fails, show report with data not from base, but from your collection. You have to create process, which creates collection, and you need to modify your report definition to get data not only from DB but also from collection.

CUBE detail rows being lost

Hi,
I have a problem where the lowest level of my CUBE is losing data and the aggregated levels are correct. My CUBE is sales dimensioned by assets, customer, geography and time. The lowest level of geography is branch, the previous level called area has the correct total but the branch level doesnt include all the rows.
Is there a way to check the cube build, I dont get any errors during build.

I have made some inroads into my problem but am still without understanding of why this is happening. Basically I have found that when I choose to compress my CUBE then cells are being lost from my CUBE although their values are included in the aggregate levels above.
So i re-created the CUBE with no compression and the lowest levels look correct BUT my CUBE now takes an hour where it used to take 20mins to refresh.
So I have logged a SR with Oracle but wondered if anyone had any ideas why creating a compressed CUBE would “lose” cells with valid values ??
This led me to thinking about sparsity of my CUBE and whether my definitions are correct and should I be trying to compress it in the first place. BTW , am using AWM 10.2.0.2a DB= 10.2.0.2
I have 4 dimensions Asset, Customer, Time and Geography and my CUBE is just SALES at this stage.
Is this a correct way of calculating the sparsity for each dimension and if so then what should my implementation details of my CUBE be :-

In your ABAP code replace all the occurrrences of wa_data with the structurename.
Use the TABLES keyword to declare the structure .That structure will be same as
reference table of the table control .

Not if you first do a sync and have iTunes make a backup. However, if your only copy of the iTunes data is in the Touch, then you need to first copy the data to a new iTunes Library using third-party software such as Phone To Mac.

alrite. I have made my mistake. I should not jail break my iphone. So if I purchase my apps again from itunes is that mean mean my data will be back?

Serious performance problems after updating from 10.5.6 to 10.5.7

I've got a Macbook Pro C2D 15" (late 2006). After updating the system from 10.5.6 to 10.5.7 and quicktime to 7.6.2, I experience serious performance problems which I have never seen before:
-From time to time, kernel_task has peaks in activity monitor (consumes a lot of CPU). In that moment, the mouse hangs for a short moment and audio playback is distorted/has drop outs.
-Recording audio consumes a lot of CPU (independent of the audio application).
-Video playback consumes a lot of CPU, regardless if I use VLC or the quicktime player.
Any idea what could be done? Thanks in advance.

After a few days of using CoolBook I report that my 1st generation MacBook Air is now reliable and never overheating, regardless of environment conditions.
I must point out that I do believe that it really is something new in 10.5.7 that is causing this problem as my environmental conditions have not changed and even Summer in Dublin still sees temperatures no more than 72F/22C. I am now in Madrid, where the environment is quite different, and I am still having no problem with kernel_task spinning.
I plan on reporting my problem to Apple anyway and being aggressive about the issue as MacLovinRanga did in this thread (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=9647353#9647353). Perhaps many/all of those of us having this problem will obtain new MacBook Airs.

TreeTable with inputText column data gets lost in adf 10g

Hello All. I have a TreeTable in my page with two columns for user inputs. After a node is expanded, the data gets lost... The TreeTable was created using ViewObjects, here is one example of the sql query of one of the ViewObjects:

I checked them up, but first, I noticed they apply to adf 11g, and second none of them use inputText in columns. I really couldn't find a any idea to solve my issue.
Any other suggestions?
My problem is that when I expand/collapse a node, the values in the inputTexts are lost. I don't know if I need something else on my page Definition...

Array data sporadically lost when calling stored procedure

We have weird problem with stored procedures for which I have not been able to find an explanation so far.
Our app has a bunch of stored procedures which process arrays of integers or strings.
From time to time (maybe 1 in a 1000) array data gets lost when calling stored procedures. From the logs we know that the data gets sent to the stored procedure, but on the DB side the procedure throws an exception because arrays are empty.
We are using (modified) OracleConnectionCacheImp (thus PooledConnections, etc.). My latest guess is that maybe somehow ArrayDescriptors on the (pooled)connection used to call the stored procedure are somehow affected when another pooled connection from OracleConnectionCacheImp gets removed by parallel thread. Is that possible? Or are the PooledConnections internally (in pooled connection data source) completely isolated from each other ?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

I have issue with binary file recording in the RT system
i have started recording from the host system
after some time suddenly power to the RT system is gone
then in rt system,file has been created but data is lost
it is showing 0(zero) bytes

My understanding is that the data is written, but the indexing to access the data isn't done until the file is closed. Therefore, the data cannot be accessed.
The other possible explanation would be that the data is just being put into a buffer to be sent to the harddrive. There is a flush buffer function. Maybe this will help?

Serious performance problems

I am having some very serious performance problems witgh java web start. I have a swing client that transmits XML/HTTP to and from a server, parses it, etc... I am finding that the XML/HTTP data request
is a factor of 10 to 100X slower, at least, using Java Web Start than without.
Any suggestions would be helpful

I've also observed some overhead when running an application deployed with JAWS compared to running the application from the jar, or in my dev environment.
After searching these forums a bit, I found this buried nugget of info: Try System.setSecurityManager(null) if you are requesting <all-permissions/> already.
Before the workaround, my application was taking 194 seconds for a single analysis run. After this workaround was applied, the same analysis run took only 82 seconds.
So as you can see, there is considerable overhead associated with performing operations through the layers of security (my guess). My particular application does a lot of disk I/O (which is probably something the security manager watches closely).
I stress the 'workaround' aspect of this because I haven't fully investigated the ramifications of using it, but eventually this might turn into a bug submission (because if I'm already requesting all-permissions, why do I still need to do setSecurityManager(null)?).
