Serious problem with my new C5

Since the first day I got my Nokia C5 phone, I began experiencing strange problems with it. During browsing the Internet, it suddenly shuts down and I have to turn it back on to use it. With time, these crashes became more and more frequent (at least 2-3 times a day) and now they occur not only while browsing the Net, but also while receiving calls etc... In addition to this, when it crashes, I cannot turn it back on for at least 30-40 mins after the crash, and oftenly on startup it displays odd messages like "Phone start-up failed. Please contact your retailer" or "Memory full. Unable to continue"... I am not able to press any of the keys then and in 1-2 minutes, the phone switches off, and I cannot turn it back on for at least 10-15 mins after that. That is VERY strange, because I have plenty of memory available both on the phone and on the memory card.

The fact that your phone does not turn on after sudden shut down indicates that something hardware related might be the root cause. There isn’t much software running in the phone when the phone is switched off.
If you do not want to take your phone to Nokia Care point below are few simple troubleshooting steps you could try.
-       After sudden shut down take the battery off for few minutes to test does the phone switch on after that.
-       Reset the phone as jimmyireland suggest but please note that it will reset the phone totally so you need to configure it after that. Taking a backup with Ovi Suite before reset is recommended.
-       Remove memory card to see does phone randomly switch off without it
-       I agree with pudu. Shut down all applications which are running in the background to see is one of them causing the reboots. If rebooting ends, start applications slowly one by one to find out which one is causing the shutdowns. Install applications to memory card to prevent phone memory filling up.
-       Check the battery connectors in case loose connectors are causing connection failures
-       Update the phone firmware when never version will be available
If nothing above helps, I’m afraid that phone needs to be checked at Nokia Care point.

  • Serious problems with my new comp set up, EMergency!!!

    I just want to say this is an emergency for me because im leaving for college tommorow......
    My comp stats are as follows

    After a lot of trouble i was finally able to get the system running.  My friend been trying to work on it at his house and was unsucessful he dropped off all my parts at my house except for a stick of ram he had forgotten and my sound card.  He basically had given up, i had recieved my new video card in the mail today so i decided to give it a shot with the video card.   Everything worked perfectly i was able to get everything up and running very nicely and the system was perfectly stable as far as i could tell.  Today my friend dropped off the stick of ram he had forgotten and my sound card.  I proceeded to install the sound card, ram and my tv tuner all togeather since i assumed my system was working fine.  Upon powering up the system the computer made a very high pitch strange noise (not like a beep but a long scream that didnt stop till i shut it off promptly there after ) that seemed to be coming from around the PSU.  I took the tv tuner out first and tried again, this solved the problem.  The comp was no longer booting though.  I then took the sound card out and ram, comp was still not booting.  It would go on and then freeze or the monitor would just stay in standby.  At this point i proceeded to take out everything but my video, one stick of ram and hd.  I can now get the comp to boot pretty much whenever but itll freeze at random points and it cant go into windows (i got it to go in in safe mode but it froze a few mins later ).  Comp has also frozen in bios..  PLEASE HELP im desperate...

    Don't be so sure . I have the same power supply and it is just barely adequate for my needs
    the 12 volt rail is weak.
    What Bios are you running ?
    Do as Danny states and increase your memory voltage to 2.7 or 2.8 ( this was one of my biggest problems , once I changed it the stablity of this board increased by 200%)
    As a last resort remove everything and start over . It would not be the first time that someone added a component and experenced trouble because of a loose connection

    Hi I just got my new Z10 BB but I was a little disappointed about the BBM first I have 800 contacts and its and sending them a BC by selecting them one by one is a real torture!!! is there any comming update for the BBM to fix this issue and make sending BC to large contacts by catogery? second current view way for the contact list make it almost impossible to look for a certain contact at least they should give the user the applity to close and open the catogery list!  and finally all other smart phones has instagram app when we will see the app on BB! seriously Im not happy about my new device and I regret buying it hope there will a soon software updates for all these issues I bit if these problems fixed Z10 will be the best smart phone ever

  • Strange and Serious Problem With My New Airport Express

    I've Just replaced my airport express after my old one died a few weeks ago. When I plug the airport in and connect ethernet it works straight away, no problem. There's a yellow light flashing, and the Airport Utility software is prompting me to set it up with a name and password.
    I've done all of this before with previous airports, always easy, always worked.
    For this one though, as soon as i name the base station or network, or add a password, after restarting the airport I get a full wireless connection but no internet, email or anything actually working (shows up as a full wireless connection on my i phone too which won't do anything). There was a firmware update the day after i got it this week which also installed, but still the same thing.
    If i reset the airport in the utility software all works fine again. but, no password and a flashing yellow airport light.

    I've tried again... I really can't understand what should be a very simple procedure just isn't working.
    Setup name and password, restart, full signal, no internet connection but a green light on the airport. Restore default settings in airport utility, yellow flashing light, full internet, but no password...

  • Problems with the new iPad and Joikuspot premium after iOS 6

    Hi,
    I'm experiencing serious problems with my new iPad after last iOS update. Usually I was connecting to the internet through Joikuspot premium on Nokia mobile phone (E6). I was able to do everything, https sites surfing, absolutely everything with no exceptions.
    Now, after iOS 6 update, I can't connect to https sites, google+, sync calendar etc.
    I've tried to change connection criteria on joikuspot but nothing. The fact is also that other devices as laptop or other smartphones are still working perfectly, in any case, sharing the wi-fi connection created by joikuspot.
    Finally the problem is 100% due to the iPad and the new iOS.
    disappointing, amateur for such a device... (iPad I mean).

    I can send and receive calls.
    I get "messaging stopped" when doing a lot of texts.
    Texts come up "ghosted" meaning they have the text on the bottom and a transparent one overlaid  on top. they then become one. But I get the ghosting most of the time when I go into a message from a contact to send a text.
    When I go to call logs or text logs, the numbers come up first, and then then the names pop up randomly, meaning not in order down the page, until they are all shown. lots of lag time.
    It runs slow.
    I have 5 apps on here. I should be able to have a  lot of apps on here, and play music, and have files, and...and....and.
    I can get online but doing a Google search, when the page with the choices comes up, it is blurred and I have to tap on the screen for it to become clear and readable.
    When online and scrolling, it hitches sometimes/lags/gets stuck then unstuck
    I get VZWAVS has stopped. (not sure if those are the right letters)
    The status bar that is supposed to be gray with the new update, goes back and forth between green--the old os--to gray. And I have found no continuity with when I get green or when I get gray.
    I get a black screen on occasion.
    sometimes the proximity sensor doesn't work.
    sometimes when I have my bluetooth on and have "hands free mode" on, I get the a text message read through the headset and also through the handset.

    There are many people having the same problem (according to the ROCKSTAR forum), so I think the problem is from the GTA V and the NV Graphics Driver.
    There are users sharing the temporary fix:

  • Urgent! Serious problem with J2EE Classloader!

    I'm having a serious problem with j2ee Classloading.
    I have "inherited" a J2EE application where all business classes (invoked by the EJB) are placed in the Application's Server classpath (Weblogic 8.1.4).
    Very bad because every time a class is changed the a.s. must be restarted.
    So I re-enginereed the package putting the business classes in a jar that is referenced by the EJB's MANIFEST file.
    This way all the classes would be loaded by the EJB classloader and no need to start/stop weblogic.
    Unfortunately it's not such !! I discovered that all business classes are loaded via REFLECTION

    Reflection uses the classloader as well so it should work fine.
    A common cause of a NoClassDefFoundError is something in a parent classloader that refers to something only available in a child loader.
    For instance, do you have any of your application classes which are in the $CLASSPATH but reference something that is only (now) in the business.jar in your ear?

  • Some serious problems with Mountain Lion

    Hi everyone,
    I upgraded my mid 2010 15" MBP to Mountain Lion 2 days ago, and I have some serious problems with my machine now.
    - Wifi problem: like many members 's machines, mine has problem to connect to the wifi after sleep or restarting, I had to wait 10 to 15 minutes for it to connected to my home network. Anh I tried to remove all of my settings in System Preferences/Network and added new connection. And now it cant connect to wifi anymore. I'm writing this article while sitting on the floor with my Ethernet cable plugged in my MBP. I connected to internet through a DSL modem and a Airport Extreme as a bridge and Access Point. I also tried to set up all of my network device but my MBP can't connect to the wifi still.
    - Keyboard problem with Pages: I was very happy with the new iCloud syncing for Pages documents but after 5 minutes, I met a big problem with Mountain Lion. Whenever I type in Pages with Vietnames Keyboard( Mac OS X built in or from another developer: http://www.trankynam.com/gotv/ ), Pages stops working immediately. I can still drag the Pages's window around but can't type or do any editing. After that I have to force quit pages. It is really stupid that I'm writing a book in Pages and now I have to stop my working till apple fixes this ridiculous bug. I tried German Keyboard as well and Pages worked flawlessly. Do you hate Vietnamese, Apple?
    - Messages problem: Since upgrading to Mountain Lion I couln't send or receive any messages. It worked perfectly in Messages beta.
    Does anyone have the same problems like me? Any solution such as how to reinstall Messages(I googled but found nothing)
    Apple, please test your software more before release it. I feel like I have no computer at the moment because I can't work, can't surfing the web wirelessly and can't communicate with my friends.

    I found out that the problem with my wifi was my MBP received automatically a ridiculous IP such as 169.254.170.0 instead of 192.168.1.4 as it should be.
    WIll be part of the Issue as will be DNS issues.
    mDNSresponder crashed with Handsoff! v1.5.3. After upgrading Handsoff! to v2.0.2, it works again.
    In this case mDNSresponder also being stopped will stop DNS working.
    I would guess if you have resolved these that you can Chat to people again.

  • Serious problems with WYSIWYG

    Hi,
    I have some serious problems with placements in 3.0. Items sits just fine i design mode, but in quick preview or in browser preview, items goes all over the place.
    The only way to go around the problem is to shift the item in design mode and make successive previews to see, if the item now sits correct. And even this metode is not optimal, because sometimes this action moves other objects on the page in preview as well....
    This ofcourse means, that I do not have any WYSIVYG at all.  And the worst is, that I never know which of the items on a page will course the next problem. Very, very frustrating!
    My last updated version (must have been 2.3...) was faultless. I made a customer site in this version before upgrading.
    This page has now been approved, but opening the site in version 3.0 is futile. In designmode everything looks fine, but in preview it looks like something I tried to code myself.... I don't know what I will tell my customer, but it's not good. Not good at all.  
    I have attached two screendumps. The first one shows the page in design mode. Everything looks fine and every item sits correct. On the second screendump you see the slideshow is going up and behind the topbar, which is center pinned. Notice that there is no scrollbar, so I can't scroll down. This problem is just one of the above mentioned. Other problems are text or pictures that refuses to align horizontally, pictures that goes way out to the top - or the bottom....
    I tried to check the sticky footer on and off, but no result either. I have even rebuilt the version 2 site, pasting the items anew, but still it goes wrong in the browser. 
    Am I the only one experiencing this problem? If you want to see the muse file, you are welcome.

    Hi Sachin, no, But I do have a center pinned topbar. I have tried to un-pin the topbar, but the problem with misplaced items still appears. Its important to emphasize that in designmode everything looks fine, but in preview or a browser files are misplaced or hidden behind each other.
    I tried to check the sticky footer on and off, take away footers on the masterpage etc. because it seems that something on the page is pushing or attracting some of the placed items.
    The problem basically is, that Muse 3.0 does not give me WYSIWYG, and that is a dissaster for a designer!

    I am having some very serious problems with my Wireless USB internet device (BSNL EVDO AC8799 ZTE make) and Mac. Everytimes it freezes my mac asks me to restart.. works fine on windows 7 installed via boot camp.

    Have you looked at the manufacturer's website to see if there is an updated driver for it?
    If that doesn't work, I do not know which of the KP troubleshooting steps might resolve the issue. In your place, I would try each one.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

    There certainly is a problem with itunes. I downloaded 9.2 and now it won't open. It won't recognize my iphone, either. I uninstalled it in the order recommended by the site, no joy. Deleted a configuration file, no joy. System Restore, no joy. All other software and hardware on the machine is working fine. I call AppleCare AND a local store, either they are completely clueless (which I doubt), or they have no idea how to fix it. I can't even back up my phone, or use the ipod. And since no one at Apple seems to care enough, I'll have to wait until the clamor is loud enough for them to even admit to a problem before I can use the ipod again.
