tarantella native client don`t printing with printer usb

agreed with Wai on upgrading. The first test should be outside of SGD . . . does UNIX print to that USB printer? If not then chances are Tarantella 3.30 will not. If you upgrade to 4.31 you will need to first upgrade to 3.42 then to 4.20 before upgrading to 4.31. Under 4.31 we support PDF printing from UNIX servers. With PDF printing you should have no problem printing to a USB printer.

  • Some Apps don't start up anymore after upgrading to BB 10.2.1

I have upgraded to BB 10.2.1 today and am pleased to see new features and enhancements.
I also have to report a few issues though:
    - startup takes much longer now
    - several non native apps don't start up anymore. I even reinstalled some, but that didn't help. Any thoughts?

    have you tried using Snap?

I get the above issue and the one below at a client site; the error started with the error below then changed to the one reported above and back to the one below. Everything is working as it should but the issues
started when one of the admins at the data-centre incorrectly applied a gpo which affected a number of service accounts (sccm inclusive) and they expired....hence reporting in sccm got broke as well as this error in the ccm.log file appeared.
Remote client install still works but I believe this error affects new client discovered by sccm, so in other words devices discovered by sccm do not get the client installed automatically....but if all access and permissions are in place...pushing out the
client to the new discovered system works, it just not done automatically, which kinda defeats one the reasons for using sccm.
I have searched the breadth of the tinternet and I can only find two technet reference to the same error  - one says to edit the stored procedure on the sql server which I don't think should be done... Like Jason said and I concur....its bad joo joos.
The second suggestion, said you should select all the options in the Client Push Installation properties, I have tried this but hasn't solved the problem.
I am planning to upgrade the site to the R2 CU3 before the end of the year but I would like to resolve this error before the upgrade.
The site is currently sccm 2012 sp1
Any idea?> Resolution? sil vous plait!
    Merci

    Hi ,
Please back up the database of the SCCM site. Then run the following query against the Site DB and see how it goes.
    DELETE FROM System_SMS_Resident_ARR
    WHERE ItemKey IN (
    SELECT ItemKey FROM vSystem_SMS_Resident_ARR
    GROUP BY ItemKey
    HAVING COUNT(ItemKey) > 1

  • SQL Server Management Studio and Native Client different behaviour on delete

I have a problem with transaction containing insert and delete to same table and some select/insert/update to some other tables. Problematic table has primary key defined as combination of column1 and column2.
When two different instances using Native Client execute simultaneously this code and make inserts to table then delete part of code causes deadlock. However this doesn't happen when trying this situation in MS SQL Server Management Studio query.
Is there some option that is missing from Native Client connection string which can cause this different behaviour?

    Hello,
I don't think there is a difference in the behavior. SSMS uses ADO.NET and that Provider base on the Native Client.
The difference will be more that way, when the transaction is commited and so the locks released. I guess your application keeps the transaction (much) longer open; you should commit a transaction as soon as possible to avoid long time locks and so
    deadlocks.

  • SQL Native Client 11 (ODBC) - SQL Server 2012 - MS DTC - Transaction Promotion

Hi and thanks for any help in advance,
Does the SQL Native Client (ODBC) resource manager support automatic transaction promotion?  I don't see anyway to get this to work using the ODBC API or the MS DTC API.
I have a connection that enlisted into a local transaction (setting auto commit to false).  Then I get another call that is part of the same transaction but to a different server.  So I try to enlist the first connection handle into a new distributed
transaction but that fails with the error code 25000 - which seems to indicate that promotion is not possible.  Am I missing some other API call?
    Any help appreciated.

For .Net yes.  If you are using SQL Native client and ODBC - the Enlist keyword is not supported in the connection string.  For .Net System.Transaction takes care of doing the promotion for you if required.  What I am asking is how that is
achieved using SQL Native client API and the MS DTC using C++?

  • BCP-style bulk insert from remote C++ ODBC Native client application

I am trying to find documentation or sample code for performing bulk inserts into SQL Server 2012 from a remote client using the ODBC native client driver from Linux.  We currently perform INSERT statements on blocks of data, wrapping it in BEGIN/COMMIT,
and achieving through approximately half of bcp reading from a delimited text file.  While there are many web pages talking about bulk inserts via the native driver, this page (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms130792.aspx) seems closest to
what I'm after but doesn't go into any detail or give API calls.  The referenced header file is just a bunch of options and constants, so presumablyone gains access to bulk functions via the standard ODBC mechanism, the question is how.
For clarity, I am NOT interested in:
BULK INSERT: because it requires a server-side data file or a UNC path with appropriate permissions (doesn't work from Linux)
    INSERT ... SELECT
    * FROM OPENROWSET(BULK...): same problem as above
IRowsetFastload: OLEDB, but I need ODBC on Linux.
Basically, I want to emulate BCP.  I don't want to *run* BCP because it requires landing data to disk.
    Thanks

Other than block inserts within BEGIN/COMMIT transaction blocks or running bcp, is there anything else that can be done on Linux?
No other option from Linux that I am aware of.  The SQL Server Native Client ODBC driver also supports table-valued-parameters, which can be used to stream data but the Linux ODBC driver API doesn't have a way to do that either.  That said, I would
still expect file-based BCP to significantly outperform inserts with large batches.  I've seen a rate of 100K/sec. with this technique, including the file create overhead but much depends on the particulars of your use case.
Consider voting for this on Connect.  BCP is on the roadmap but no date yet:
    https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/SearchResults.aspx?SearchQuery=linux+odbc+bcp
Also, I filed a Connect item for TVP support:
    https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/874616/add-tvp-support-to-sql-server-odbc-driver-for-linux

This is the on going Beta progam for "Serious Sam: The First Encounter" Install using the Retail Win32 CD, then use the "Loki_Update" Utility to get the latest updates, and disable the time expiration on the game.

This is beta 3 of The First Encounter.
    Notable changes:
    - Shouldn't had issues with vorbis loading (I hope).
    - Writes user data to ~/.serious/serioussam now. This is to make way for
The Second Encounter. To keep your old settings, you should do this:
    mkdir ~/.serious/serioussam
    mv ~/.serious/* ~/.serious/serioussam
    (ignore the error).
Do that before you start the new version, or you'll screw things up. If you don't do it, your old settings will be ignored and you get a fresh default configuration.
    - No beta expiration, since I'm not giving this too much time.
The game is STILL not beatable by default. This is a bug. You can "cheat" to
kill the last boss when you are sick of shooting at him, though. Pull down the console and type:
    /cht_bKillFinalBoss = 1;
(The '/' and ';' are necessary.) This will kill the boss and trigger the endgame cinematic.
This bug actually breaks the opening cinematic of The Second Encounter, so it's important to fix it, cheat or not. But not for this patch.

  • How to associate an XA Resource Manager with a Corba Native Client?

    Hello,
how is a Corba Native (C++) Client associated with an XA Resource Manager? I can't find it in the documentation.
I believe I understand how it works in a Tuxedo native client: buildclient needs "-r <rmname>" and tpinit() needs to include the group name (ubbconfig group with TMS_ORA and OPENINFO).
buildobjclient does not seem have anything like the "-r" option, and the bootstrap object does not seem to have any way to specify a group.
We have a Corba client that updates the database, enqueues into /Q and invokes a transactional Corba service. All three need to be in the same transaction. I am stuck on how to get an XA DB connection.
    Thanks...
    Roger
PS: The proper solution is to make the client's functionality a service and have the client invoke the service. But that causes other complications.

I got part of the answer from a different thread.
Native clients do not need a TMS_* to start a transaction. On commit/rollback they consult the Global Transaction Table (GTT) to find a TMS_* that is involved in the transaction and delegate the commit/rollback to one of those TMS_*.
For remote clients (using IIOP) the ISH handles the request from the remote client and deals with transaction management.

  • New Dell Server with OpenManage Essentials adds SQL Server 2012 Native Client to existing SQL Server 2008R2 in SBS 2011

Had to upgrade my server to new Dell T320. Support wanted me to install OpenManage Essentials which unfortunately installed SQL Server 2912 native client. Now I have 2 sqlserv apps running at the same time.
Is there a problem with SBS 2011 Standard running two different SQL Server native clients?
I have no idea why Dell OpenManage did not use the existing 2008R2 native client, but that is the way it is.
Can I combine or upgrade the database so they all use one and not both?
    Thanks
    Gerald Fay

    Hi,
I have asked some who similar the SQL product, in general you can install the different version SQL client on the same operation system, but when the OpenManage Essentials
install a SQL instance on your SQL server, it will automatic upgrade same SQL component to the newer version.
For example, if your SQL server is 2008r2, you install the OpenManage Essentials built-in SQL instance which version is higher(such as 2012), by default it will automatic
upgrade the same SQL component to SQL 2012, I don’t similar with the OpenManage Essentials
tool, I think you can ask DELL® support for the further support.
    Thanks.

  • Linux client don't receive messages

I got this strange problem. I'm using weblogic 8.1 sp5 as a J2EE server for an application that use JMS. I also have a java client who send messages to a queue and receive messages throw a topic. When a run the client in a windows machine the messages are sended and received, but when I use a Linux machine (redhat 3) the client don't receive the messages published into the topic.
I've tried into several machines, with redhat 3 and fedora. The only way to make it work is to run the client into the same machine where the server is.
    Please help!
    Thanks

    I finally solve the problem!
The linux client has a default entry in the hosts file matching the 127.0.0.1 IP the the machine name. For some reason, the jms topic listener didnt' keep the connection with the server and start listening to himself. Therefore, the messages wasn't processed by the topic listener.
Removing this entry and creating a new one matching the real IP with the host name solve the problem.

  • Logon of user in client failed when starting a step

    Hi All,
I have a question. (Might be simple to many).
<b>Logon of user in client failed when starting a step.</b>
Some of my scheduled jobs are getting cancelled due to the above error. It has been noted that the user corresponding to that job has been locked.
Can anybody suggest how to change the user of a Background Job (without deleting and re-creating the same).
    Thanks and Regards
    Devanand

    Hi
You cannot change the owner of the job once it is in released status.
Better, create the job with same varient by an existing user and delete the cancelled job.
    regards,
    Vinodh.

    Hi,
After IOS 8 upgrade my IPad 2 don't start and just show this screen and nothing works.
