Seriously weird problem! Help!

I have a 3rd generation nano. It's about 1 year and 3 months old.
Here is the problem: a little while ago my nano wouldn't charge anymore. When I plugged it in, either with my wall plug or the USB connector to my computer the battery would say it was fully charged, but then when I unplug (even after hours of charging) the battery would still be empty.
So I did a full reset of the iPod and then after that it worked again and I was able to charge it normally. Now the same problem has happened again but the reset didn't do anything. In fact now after the reset when I connect my nano to my computer it doesn't even turn on. The black screen with the apple logo comes on, it stays for a couple seconds then the screen goes black, then that cycle repeats constantly.
HOWEVER, when I plug it into the wall the iPod turns on, but it still doesn't charge! And I can't do another full reset because it won't even turn on fully so iTunes doesn't recognize it.
It's definitely not a problem with the cable as I have two different ones and both give the same problem.
What can I do? *Please help!!*

Do you know anyone who has a Mac computer around your area? See if doing a restore on a Mac helps?, which works in my case

Weird problem- help!

Here's what happened and what I know:
Yesterday I was importing CDs into my Powerbook g4. I got it in August so it is fairly new. It got about halfway through the fourth CD and seemed to stall, I left it alone thinking it was just taking longer than usual, and when I checked it again it was in the same place, the rainbow mouse spinning, the computer unresponsive. Not knowing what else to do, I rebooted and ejected the CD. But ever since, a weird thing has been happening. When I start my computer the apple appears, and the little icon saying it's loading appears. The screen then turns blue, with another loading icon. Then a black screen appears, with white text. It says something like "Darwin (zoe*****powerbookg4.loc) (console)" then it says under that "Login:" and has a prompt flashing. I can log into it using my username and password, but can't seem to get it to start up normally. I have looked through my manual and this website and have tried what seems like everything. I used the hardware test and I used Disk Utility by using my OSX install CD. When I tried to Verify and Repair under the disk utility program, it gave me the error message that: The underlying task reported failure on exit. And when I used the verify option, it came up with the info that "HFS Volume Checked. Volume needs repair."
But it can't repair it. Nothing has worked. My phone support is expired so they wouldn't help me, and there are no mac dealers in my immediate area. Has anyone else run into this problem ever, and if so how did you fix it? Any help at all is welcome. I'm a student and my computer is very important to the whole homework-getting-done deal.

You can't run a disk repair on the currently booted disk. So, take your OS disk, insert it, hold option after you hit the power button, and select the OS install option. In the menu at the top of the screen there should be something like "utilities." In that menu, you will find the disk utility. By running it from the disk drive you will be able to repair the hard drive.
Also, you may want to consider doing a system test, another option of booting from the DVDs that came with your computer. This will often times let you know what's wrong with your computer. Good luck!

Weird Problem- Help With Logic Loops

Hi all,
I've been using Logic Express 8 for about 2 years and I've got a pretty good handle on things. However I keep having this small little problem and usually restarting the software fixes it, but not this time.
My problem is this: I'm trying to make some beats using software instruments. So I click on "Drums and Percussion" then "Ultrabeat" then choose my drum kit. I start punching in my beats but Logic is playing some Apple Loop on top of it! Theres no notes on the track and yet it still plays this random beat! I can adjust the tempo and the beat adjusts to it.
The problem is there is nothing there. Its a blank track, but this beat keeps playing.
I used to just restart the program when it happened and it usually took care of it, however it won't fix it this time.
I know it's probably some check box I don't have clicked or something but if someone could help me out, I'd be very appreciative.

I forgot to go into the Ultrabeat menu, and turn off the "example beat" that they give you. I knew it was some checkbox that I didn't unclick or click.

JFileChooser weird problem (Help!!!)

Does anyone here have loading problem with JFileChooser?
I have a class that inherited the JFileChooser class and another class that inherited the JFrame class and this class create an instance of the JFileChooser class.
My program sometime will not show (but sometime will: no changes at all) and they are no exception being shown on the console window what so ever. I can solve my program by initializing the JFileChooser object after showing the application and not before but that stupid JFileChooser is so slow to initialize. What the hell is going on? Any help hint would be appreciated.

I also want to add that the following code is in my JFileChooser class:

Aside from the abnormally, I don't not what else could be causing the problem!

TMShowUnsupportedNetworkVolumes 1 (Weird Problem HELP!!)

I used the above trick and started backing up to a NAS that has 460Gb from my macbook pro which has (112Gb). It appears to work fine until after a while I realized that the size of the sparse image isnt moving pass 112Gb.
Then I realized that didnt make sense, because basically the sparse image isnt growing pass my initial drive size. So then I tried mounting the sparse image itself, and copy some random files over 1-2Gb to test. And sure enough, my NAS console is reporting no change in file usage! This means the sparse image is somehow capped at 112Gb and putting more files on that image just erases old data I assume?!
So then again I mounted the sparse image and tried to view it in disk utility. It is quite weird, it reports having one partition of 929.4Gb (350 available space, 577.4 used)!! These numbers didnt make any sense because how can 577 be used when my NAS is only 460Gb! I can see where the 350 used might come from (469 of the total NAS size - 112 used).
I know a lot of people have started to use the hack to backup to NAS. Can anyone report their experiences? I didnt create this sparse image myself, I just selected the NAS and let time machine do its thing. Not sure how the image got all weird....

Weird problems, help

I recently bought myself an iPad mini, I've downloaded all my purchased songs (all 200+ of them) and just rented a movie, but nothing shows up in my music library nor the video section? Is this iPad broken?

Can you let me know the specific model DV6 this is? An AC adapter being somewhat hot is normal, but being very very hot is not. Is the adapter hot enough to burn you? If so I would definitely disconnect it from the wall until we can verify that it is functioning properly.

Weird problem involving my external hard drive - help please!

I recently got a formac mini 120 gb firewire hard drive, which had been working fine with my g4 quicksliver.
i then went to a friends (g5 machine) with my drive and he put some data on it - bought it back to mine and managed to re connect the drive and take the data - no problem - very happy.
I recently gave my drive to another friend using a g5 and when it came back, nothing - i don't get the drive symbol appearing. turned the comp on and off many times and tried re-connecting etc still no drive appearing.
Then i took the drive to my friend with a mac lap top power book. connected there - working fine. Baffling. was happy that my data can still be accessed.
I know it's not the firewire cable because i can get power to the drive - i can see the red light at the fron on.
Can anyone help with this weird problem?

Thought you could use this info about getting FireWire to work!
First, you should always Repair Permissions in Disk Utility before and after any update; I would do that now. If you installed your update with FireWire plugged in, your Mac may not recognize it anymore.
Try resetting your FireWire ports by disconnecting all FW devices, shut down your Mac and unplug it from AC power (wall socket) for 30 minutes. plug it back in and try FW.
If that did'nt work, download the combo update from this site (yours may be corrupt), not Software Update, disconnect all firewire + USB devices except keyboard + mouse, Repair Permissions, re-install update, Repair Permissions again + try. Yours might be the 10.4.10 Combo update. I have no idea since you did not fill out your specs. fully when you signed in to this site. Others reading, download the Combo that applies to your system. This link is for PPC Macs not Intel Macs.
If that still did'nt get it Zap the PRAM. While restarting Mac hold down the following key combo Command-Option-P-R. Keep holding those keys down till you hear the second start-up chime, then release.
For those of you with Macs that are not PowerBooks or iBooks, a bad internal battery can cause FireWire to not be recognized, so make sure it's good! Also, here is Apple doc.#88338 on getting FireWire to work.

Serious display problem. Please help!

I'm having a serious display problem all of a sudden. It is not application specific. Various different applications are pixelating, especially wherever I move my cursor and click the mouse. When I grab the entire application with the cursor and move it, the image duplicates into hundreds of images all over my screen. If I shake it around awhile, eventually it goes back to normal. What is going on??!!
Here's some background info: I'm on a 2009 Mac Pro. I still use the old fashioned tube monitors with mini display port to VGA converters, but I've never had a problem up until now. Just before the problem started happening, I tried to open up some .jpg files in Quicktime Pro 7.
I would greatly appreciate any ideas of what the problem could be and how to fix it.

Weird Problem trying to sign into my App Store Account ? Please Help !!

Im having a very weird problem trying to sign into my App store account to update my apps and to purchase new Apps. Ive tried to search the net but I cant seem to solve my problem.
Here is whats happening
My Email address is correct in my iTunes Account and also my App Store account. (which is basically the same anyway)
The problem I am having Is that when I try to download an App my old email address still shows up when it requests my password.
The weird part is that my email address is correct in my itunes and also at the bottom of my app store. Yet my old email is showing up when I try to sign into the App store.
Here are the steps Ive taken already to fix this problem and have failed.
I have signed out of my itunes and app store and signed back in..FAILED.
I went into my setting -STORE and signed out and back in..FAILED.
I dont understand why my old email is still showing up when I try to sign in to update or download an App !!!!
PLEASE HELP !!!

Apps are DRM protected & tied to the account that was used to originally purchase them. Were these apps purchased using your old account details?

Roland Edirol, NEED TRACKING HELP!!!!! Weird Problem!

I need the help of one of you experts...
New to Logic but have used GarageBand for years. I am using a Roland Edirol UA-25EX interface. I am attempting to track a bass part in a project but have encountered a weird problem.
When I play the bass with the rest of the project (MIDI Drums and Piano) the input signal is at a constant state of peaking no matter how hard I play. I assumed that I was just sending to much signal into the computer from the interface so I soloed my bass track and all of a sudden it sounded fine (levels were good - no peaking). Then I un-soloed the track again and the crazy peaking was back.
After playing around with Logic and the Edirol for a few hours I couldn't trouble shoot the problem. I decided to hit record and see if Logic was recording the peaked out sound I heard (UNSOLOED) or the normal non-peaked bass tone I heard when it was soloed out. Sure enough when I listened back to the recording everything sounded fine!!
Thats good I guess... but I cannot track the bass part with the peaked out sound and when I turn it down to try and get rid of the clipping, I can't hear the bass enough.
Can someone help me with this please?!?!? Point me in a direction at least to try anything.....

I have an Edirol UA-25 that has drivers that stop working anytime there is an upgrade or sleep. You should write to Roland and complain, they were friendly and sent a zip of 10 copies of the driver and it's un-installer, so if,like today i let my iMac fall sleep the driver no longer works and I must unplug the USB Edirol,un-install the broken driver and install a new one before the Edirol will work again-I am on 10.5.8, hopefully the Snow Leopard drivers will be better. your "ex" model differs only in it's having a ground loop isolator, which I had to buy separately and it works fine but still not fair of Roland to sell such crap.

Weird Problem with X6, help please!

I have got this weird problem with my nokia X6, it's display shows lines and merged colors when turned on. It started happening after I got my Nokia X6 fixed for broken screen, 15 days later after getting it fixed it started showing such display. I figured out somehow to unlock my phone while in such display horror and figured that opening a heavy app like OVI store brings back mobiles display. I don't want to send same people my mobile again. Just want to know what can be done to fix this problem. PLease Help!

Yeah, it was a nokia care center. Anyway I fixed the problem luckily. It just needed some updates. I never thought not updating can cause this problem.

Weird Problem With My Ipod. Can you help?

I'm having a weird problem with my ipod and I hope someone here can help. I have a Nano, 4 GB. I got it back in June, so I haven't even had it 6 months yet. Ever since I "updated" the software, it hasn't worked right. It kept freezing on me and saying I had no songs on it. Finally when I reset it through iTunes and loaded brand new songs in it, it froze half way loading. I loaded it for a 3rd time and now it's making a weird alarm sound for no apparant reason. The buttons are stuck and I can't shut it off. It just keeps making this sound and it won't stop. When I reset it by holding menu & select, it resets, is fine for about 20 seconds, then starts back with this alarm. Is there anyone that can help me with this?

Mine was the similar condition.
When I reset iPod nano by holding menu & select, it resets, is fine for about 20 seconds, then starts back to the screen of black and white state.
It keeps endless loop.
It happened on the way of iPod nano firmware update to 1.1.1. from 1.0.2.
Instead of completing firmware updated, the above symptom happend in my case.
I could exit the above condition by pressing both of SELECT &
PLAY button 5-10 seconds long.
It manually change DISK Mode.

This is my first post, so helo to everybody.
I bought a P965 Platinum board a week ago. Yesterday I decided to update to v1.1 bios which I downloaded from the Global Site (latest version). Since then I have a very weird problem. My keyboard does not work unless it goes into Windows. I tried 2 different PS2 and another 2 USB keyboards but the problem is the same. Before then everything was OK (e.g. I entered numerous times into the bios in order to manage to install the XP SP2 onto a raid0 configuration!). Any suggestions (except from just wait for a new bios release)?
P.S. I searched for similar topics before I post but found nothing similar. Thanks in advance

dunno where did you saw that, but i never suggest using LiveUpdate to update BIOS.

Iphone 4, having a weird problem /: can't seem to fix it!

So i have been having my iphone for a while, i have no warranty on the phone now. I have this weird problem that when i scoll down my messages and stuff i can see the outline of the message kind of show rainbowish colors that sort of show a bit when i scroll, right near the border of the message. its kind of annoying at times, also there are times when i press the home button, right when i get to my wallpaper, the outline of the letters when i text are there like very very faint, they disappear after for a while but then come back sort of like a glitch, and i cant fix it at all. then i would see faint horizontal lines, i would notice them when i use the camera, they disappear also. can anyone help me with this or suggest something?

Screen lag is normaly the LCD itself. But try restoring the iPhone. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
