Server 2008 R2 (64) SP-1 Event Error 5774 Netlogon

Hi there,
I built another small network, single Dell 2950 as a Server 2008 R2 (64) SP-1 Domain Controller
In the event Viewer is Event ID 5774 Netlogon error and desktops unable to connect, this is a new small developer’s network not in production, so I can make changes and reboot.
The server name is Server01, “nslookup server01” comes back with :: as with IPv6
This is a single DC and 4 desktops, no intenret or IPS involved.
I have done the following which has not helped
Added Reverse Lookup
a. DNS
b. Reverse Lookup Zones
c. 1.10.10.in-addr.
d. New Pointer
e. 10.10.1.50, DC Name
f. Test with NSLOOKUP from Server and Desktops
g. Test with PING Server01
h. Test with NSLOOKUP Server01
IPv6 LoopBack On a Domain Controller
a. Open the registry editor by typing regedit under Run
b. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa
c. Right-click Lsa and click New. Choose to create a DWORD Value.
d. Enter DisableLoopbackCheck as the name of the entry, then double-click to modify it.
e. Set the Value to 1 and click OK
DNS Updating IPv4 Adapters
a. HKLM\Systems\CurrentControlSet\Services\Netlogon\Parameters
b. Add the following DWORD value:
c. Valuename = DnsUpdateOnAllAdapters.
d. Value = 1.
Disabled IPv6 in network adapter (unchecked)
Under IPv4 default gateway is 127.0.0.1 (is that right?)
Thanks
B.

I took a step back from this and undid this step, removing the Reverse Lookup
Added Reverse Lookup
a. DNS
b. Reverse Lookup Zones
c. 1.10.10.in-addr.
d. New Pointer
e. 10.10.1.50, DC Name
f. Test with NSLOOKUP from Server and Desktops
g. Test with PING Server01
h. Test with NSLOOKUP Server01
I also undid this step,
IPv6 LoopBack On a Domain Controller
I also undid this step:
DNS Updating IPv4 Adapters
a. HKLM\Systems\CurrentControlSet\Services\Netlogon\Parameters
b. Add the following DWORD value:
c. Valuename = DnsUpdateOnAllAdapters.
d. Value = 1.
New Steps:
At the Adapter Setting for TCP/IPv4 The default gateway was set to 120.0.01, I changed this to the Server (Server01) IP address 10.10.1.50
I also changed the ‘Perferred DNS server’ from 127.0.0.1 to the server (Server01) ip of 10.10.1.50
Now,
After this IP change, the desktops could see the DC (Server01 10.10.1.50) and under network on the server and desktops they see each other,
Under DHCP, all 4 desktops have an IP from the DHCP scope I gave it - good
Under DNS, all 4 desktops show up with their DHCP IP - good
Problem,
From the server I can ping the server by ip 10.10.1.50 and it comes back correct
From the server I can ping the server by name ‘Server01’ and it comes back
“reply from ::1”
And ‘nslookup’ comes back with
“Default Server Unknown”
“Address 10.10"
To creect this ::1 and nslookup "Server Unknown" do I need the reverse lookup put back and the 2 regedit changes put back?
Thanks
b.

  • Crystal Report Server 2008 - Out of Memory in Event Server

    Hi All,
We run a Crystal report Server 2008 on a Windows 2003 Server Std Edition, with 4 GB of Memory and enough Harddisk space(C: More than 25 GB and D: around 155 GB).  The Server is running with MS SQL Server 2005 and CRS 2008 on MySQL and Tomcat.  Other than this there is a transactional application running using MS SQL Server 2005 which creates a new database everyday.
We have Scheduled reports which were working fine for an year, since last month we were getting the "Out of Memory in the event Server" error and the CRS stops to schedule reports, only after restarting the server and SIA it allows us to schedule the jobs in time.  But this happens every once in 2 days.  Am not sure what is causing this problem.  Currently there are no backup jobs running and no OS Scheduled jobs are running and also no error messages in the Application log other than the "Out of Memory in the Event Server".
Could anyone help to sort out what may cause this?
    Thanks

  • WDS - Server 2008 R2 Create an Capture Image Error

I'm trying to create a capture image, and when I do that I receive an error stating "The operation completed with errors. A required privilege is not held by the client".
I've logged in with multiple domain admins, I've "run as administrator" for WDS, I've uninstalled/reinstalled the role and reconfigured it. I cant find any group policies that would be affecting this in a negative way. This is installed on a DC
    which does not have DHCP.
I'm pretty much at the end of my rope here, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
    Thank you all in advance!

    Hi,
Add the user to local administrator group and try again.
If the issue persists, you can enable logging and tracing WDS component.

  • Can service broker work between SQL Server 2008 and 2012, ssbdiagnose returned an error !

    Hello,
We have a setup of three applications that sends and receive messages using Service Broker.
    One part is on a server, we'll call 'S' have Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (SP3) - 10.0.5512.0 (X64)
    The other part, we'll call 'E' use to have Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (SP3) - 10.0.5512.0 (X64).
But I am migrating these apps to a new server, we'll call 'C' that has: Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (SP1) - 11.0.3339.0 (X64)
I have used this command line tool to test it :
ssbdiagnose -E CONFIGURATION FROM SERVICE "//E/S/CService" -S "ServerC" -d EDatabase TO SERVICE "//S/S/ECService" -S ServerS -d SDatabase ON CONTRACT //E/S/ECContact
    It returned:
An internal exception occurred: Cannot read property ServiceBrokerGuid.
This property is not available on SQL Server 7.0.
So, I am wondering, is it supposed to work between these two versions ?
As more info, in the previous setup, it was using certificates but I have changed the Endpoints to use only Windows Authentication.
    Thanks for any advice.
    Claude

    Hello,
Many thanks to you and Fanny for looking at my question.
In fact I was unclear, please let me provide you with more details.
Maybe the use of "always on" plays a role here...  I will use different names so it might be clearer...
    ServerSoftware2008 server has SoftwareDB database.
    ServerEmployees2008 server has EmployeesDB database.
Service broker use to work fine between those two above, with certificates.
The new server comes in, two virtual servers with SQL Server 2012 Enterprise Edition with Always On.
I call it ServerEmployeesC but this is the listener.  Behind, there is ServerEmployees2012_A and ServerEmployees2012_B and of course, both have a EmployeesDB database.
So, to use SSBDiagnose, I wonder if I need to use quotes around values and if I can use the listener name with FQDN.  Concerning the use of instance name in the syntax, there is only one instance per server, is it best practice to use it on the command
    line ?
Here is again, my command :
    ssbdiagnose -E CONFIGURATION FROM SERVICE "//E/S/E" -S "ServerEmployeesC.sub.acme.com" -d EmployeesDB TO SERVICE "//S/S/E" -S "ServerSoftware2008.sub.acme.com" -d SoftwareDB ON CONTRACT //E/S/E
Again, many thanks for any help you will be able to provide, the people who configured this application at first are no longer here and I am trying to configure the new server in a task of migrating to SQL Server 2012 for one of the two servers involved
and I am having a lot of problems doing it.
    Best regards,
    Claude

  • Unable to install Os server - 2008 r2 (it stops on 20% - error about driver)

    Hi guys.
We have a server where we have sucessfully installed 2012 r2 std. We wanted to put TMG on it and we found information it supported only on 2008 r2 OS. We have tried reinstalling the OS on this server but we are having some issue in setup phase.
2012 r2 installation went thru with no problems, 2008 r2 installation stops at 20% with error: required driver coult not be installed. There's a SUPERMICRO motherboard on this server with Intel RAID controller. The IT guys which have tried to installed 2008
r2 downloaded the latest drivers for this motherboard on the supermicro site. They needed to give the inf files durring the installation otherwise disk was not recognized.
We have also unplugged any USB devices, and downloaded a fresh iso of 2008 r2 std, but still it gets stucked at 20% with driver error. Any hints what should we do to push the installation forward?

  • AD Replication Failure Between 2 Server 2008 R2 - LDAP bind failed with error 8341,

    Hi everybody,
    I've having 2 AD Server : GDS and DC1.
They can't replicate with each other for a long time ( more than 60 days )
They placed at 2 diffirent subnet, no FW rule.
I can ping, resolve the DNS by nslookup both Servers
When i use cmd command : net view \\domain
=> The error appear : System error 5 has occurred Access is denied in both server
In the event log i see some error like Event ID 2087, 1864 in the GDS AD Server
Please check this link  for more detail http://1drv.ms/1wqmeuf ( Link contact image and log file of repadmin|dcdiag )
    After searching,
i planning to depromote and rejoin the GDS to the DC1 AD Server, clean metadata. But what about the user account, group data. Is that lost ?
Server not replicate for more than 60 days, it need to reset Kerberos password right ?
I'm lost now, Please help me to setting somehow that replicatie this 2 server again.
If you need any information to resolve this problem, Please tell me.
    Thank you!!

    Hi Datnt,
If the server is not replicated within the tombstone period, its is always recommended to do a force removal from AD and doing a metadata cleanup to remove the old entries.
If you still want to do it without demoting, just go through the below link by Ace, it might help you.

  • Getting error code 1 when calling SSIS package from a stored procedure (SQL Server 2008 R2)

    Hello,
I am trying to execute a SSIS package from SQL Server 2008 R2 stored procedure but getting error code 1 (as per my knowledge, error code description is as below:
    0 The package executed successfully.
    1 The package failed.
3 The package was canceled by the user.
4 The utility was unable to locate the requested package. The package could not be found.
5 The utility was unable to load the requested package. The package could not be loaded.
6 The utility encountered an internal error of syntactic or semantic errors in the command line.
    Details:
I have a stored procedure named "Execute_SSIS_Package" (see below sp) which executes 'Import_EMS_Response' SSIS package (when I execute this package directly from SQL Server BID it works fine it means package itself is correct) and calling
it from SQL as:- EXEC Execute_SSIS_Package 'Import_EMS_Response'.
Here I receives error code 1.
Can anyone help me to resolve this issue please?
    Thanks in advance!
    CREATE PROCEDURE [dbo].[Execute_SSIS_Package]
     @strPackage nvarchar(100)
    AS
    BEGIN
-- SET NOCOUNT ON added to prevent extra result sets from
     -- interfering with SELECT statements.
     SET NOCOUNT ON;
     DECLARE @cmd VARCHAR(8000)
     DECLARE @Result int
     DECLARE @Environment VARCHAR(100)
        SELECT @Environment = Waarde
     FROM  Sys_Settings
     WHERE Optie = 'Omgeving'
     --print @Environment
     SET @strPackage = '"\W2250_NGSQLSERVER\BVT\' + @Environment + '\' + @strPackage + '"'
     SET @cmd = 'dtexec /SQL ' + @strPackage +  ' /SERVER "w2250\NGSQLSERVER"  /Decrypt "BVT_SSIS" /CHECKPOINTING OFF /REPORTING E'
     --print @cmd
     EXECUTE @Result = master..xp_cmdshell @cmd, NO_OUTPUT
     --print @Result
    END

It has something to do with the security.
E.g. cmdshell is not enabled or the caller has not rights over the package.
There could be a syntax error, too.
I suggest you make the package runnable off a SQL Agent job then trigger the job from the stored proc with
    sp_start_job <job name>

Does this directory exist and have the correct permissions and ownership granted for the Oracle 10g RAC Clusterware?
If not, then you need to create the directory and grant correct permissions to it. Also, have you checked to see if Windows 2008 platform has been certified and validated for Oracle 10g RAC installation?
    Cheers,
    Ben Prusinski

  • Crystal Report 2008 on Windows Server 2008 64bit

    hi,
I tried to run a Crystal Reports Web Application on a Windows Server 2008 64bit but I got this error:
"Please install the appropriate Crystal Reports redistributable (CRRedist*.msi) containing the correct version of the Crystal Reports runtime (x86, x64, or Itanium) required.  Please go to http://www.businessobjects.com/support for more information.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.
Exception Details: CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.LoadSaveReportException: An error has occurred while attempting to load the Crystal Reports runtime.
Either the Crystal Reports registry key permissions are insufficient or the Crystal Reports runtime is not installed correctly.
Please install the appropriate Crystal Reports redistributable (CRRedist*.msi) containing the correct version of the Crystal Reports runtime (x86, x64, or Itanium) required.  Please go to http://www.businessobjects.com/support for more information."
    The System:
    - Windows Server 2008 Standard 64bit SP2
    - Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
    - Oracle Client 10gR2 64bit
    - I tried Crystal Report 2008 Runtime, Crystal Report 2008 Runtime SP1, Crystal Report 2008 Runtime SP2, Crystal Report 2008 Runtime SP3.
    - Crystal Report Basic Runtime for Visual Studio 2008 (x64)
On a 32bit-system or 32bit-mode (and 32bit Oracle Client) everything is working fine. But I have to use the 64bit Oracle Client, therefore, Crystal Report have to work in 64bit-mode.
Is it possible and what is to do to get it working, thanks,
    Martin

It does work on 64 bit OS - as a 32 bit application. CR 2008 is 32 bit only.
See the article [Crystal Reports support of 64 bit Operating Systems|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/10d5fa88-2013-2c10-c9a5-f11963607d4e] for more info.
