Server Admin 10.6 Tools Install doesn't work

Hi All,
I've installed SL 10.6 on my laptop, Servers are still on 10.5.8, so I had to Download and install the 10.6 Server Admin Tools. Trouble is Server Admin and WorkGroup Manager fail to start, crashing with the following:
Dyld Error Message:
Library not loaded: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/PlatformHardwareManagement.framework/Versions /A/PlatformHardwareManagement
Referenced from: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/ServerFoundation.framework/Versions/A/ServerF oundation
Reason: image not found
Looks like the install fails even though it reports a successful install. Have tried re-installing same download, with same results.
Any ideas (I can't manage the servers right now)???

We're left out in the cold, cold snow on this. We can no longer use Server Admin 10.5, or any other flavor outside of 10.6 server admin tools.
This means we can only administer 10.5.8 servers, and 10.6 servers.
10.6 installer works fine for me, but it can only administer specifically 10.6 and 10.5.8 servers.
Anyone that's a sys-admin administers multiple servers, this would be 10.4.x servers (Hopefully 10.4.11) 10.5.x servers (Sometimes if it's a "Critical" server and it's not broke, you don't mess with it. meaning leaving it at 10.5.4 because two other server updates to 10.5.5 you recently completed failed miserably) . You get the picture. Previously I kept multiple versions of Server Admin on my machine, 10.3, 10.5.3, 10.5.5, for compatibility, so now I'm dead in the water. And apple solution appears to be have multiple computer hanging around to complete this task. I'm not buying in.
they either now need to allow virtualization of 10.5 client, or get their act together with software compatibility.
Extremely disappointed, and will have to be going back to 10.5. Wonder if I can get a refund on my purchase.

Was it AA X Std that you had these options in (sorry, I only have Pro)? If it was the trial (that is Pro), it may be that Std does not have to feature. Under XI at the Adobe site, there is a comparison of features between Std and Pro that might give you a hint.
There is also an option to turn on or hide many tools. For me there is a small icon just above the tools...comment titles. If you select that it give a list of tools you can display. Often, several are not displayed by default. How you lost them is another things, but it is getting them that is the basic question.

Install doesn't work, keeps trying to uninstall-PSE12

Everytime I try to install Photoshop Elements 12, it will prompt me to uninstall it instead. I have downloaded it every different way that has been suggested, but it keeps going to the uninstall screen and even then the uninstall doesn't work, it closes after some error.
HELP! I am ready to quit at this point and just want my freaking money back because I cannot take this anymore.
I used the LIVE Chat option which was very helpful but something seems to keep stopping the file, i think something is corrupted in some way.

CLI admin password rest using install cdrom not working on ACS 5.5 cumulative patch 1

Hi,
I can't log onto either of our ACS 5.5 servers using the CLI admin passwords (which we do have recorded and no one appears to have changed ).
I get accessed denied on both.
On our DR ACS I went through the procedure of resetting the CLI admin password using the install cd mounted in the VM (the iso is actually for 5.3) , but even after picking a new password, I get access denied when I try to use it.
Does anyone know what could be wrong?
Is it possible that patching to ACS 5.5 from ACS 5.3 (a month or so ago) has some how locked out the passwords ?

Hi,
The reason why it is not working is because you need to use the ISO image or cd for ACS 5.5.
If you try to reset the CLI administrator password with an ISO image or cd for other ACS version it will not take the new password.
Please give it a try with the 5.5 image.

Flash install doesn't work

I have attempted to install the adobe flash at least a dozen
times. I have two administrative profiles on my XP Home system.
flash works fine on the primary profile, however after apparently
successfullty installing on the second profile, attempts to go to
pages which require flash report that it must be installed.
This is unacceptable. I must have this working on the second
profile. I intend on making the second profile a regular user, not
an administrator.
I have attempted to get phone support from adobe, but they
refused.
This appears to be an issue with adobe flash, since I see
many other folks with the same problem. I have tried several of the
suggestions including uninstalling/reinstalling, rebooting after
uninstalling and then reinstalling, installing other versions of
flash, etc. None have worked.
I have also created new profiles on my machine. Any new
profiles also fail to install the flash.
Is there any way to get this working on alternate profiles?
It is absolutely unacceptable that this doesn't work. I will start
e-mailing the web administrators on any sites that use flash to
inform them that thier sites are inaccessible to thier customers if
I can't get this to work correctly.

Please read the threads on this in the Flash Player forum. We
have several solutions (but there are also several possible
problems).
You may also open a web case (Flash Player has no phone
support. It's web only...)
So this is fixable, but it takes some effort.. We can help
you better in the Player forum.

Windows Apps Store Installed doesn't works.

I have Windows 8.1 pro. Whenver a new app is installed in the windows apps store. It just shows up and then minimizes. I just checked my eventviewer(eventwvr), saw this error under windows logs-application-"Activation of app VideoLAN.VLCforWindows8_paz6r1rewnh0a!App
failed with error: No such interface supported See the Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational log for additional information.". Don't know what to do. Please help me.

According to the result of AppsDiagnostic.diagcab, there might be an issue related to the “Windows store cache’’.
You could open Command Prompt and Run “DISM / Online / Cleanup-image / RestoreHealth” Command to check component Integrity.
If component Integrity is fine and it still doesn’t work, I recommend resetting your Windows store cache.
Please search and run wsreset.exe in Windows Charm bar to reset Windows store cache. It will Clear & Reset Windows Store Cache in Windows 8 / 8.1.
Or you could reset your cache manually:
Open’’ C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Packages\WinStore_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState’’ and rename ’’Cache’’ folder to “Cacheold”
and create a new “Cache” folder.
And also it might be caused by corrupted register information or user profile.
I recommend you run following commands as administrator to re-register apps:
powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register 'C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\<App full name>\AppxManifest.xml'
You could find the App full name information in ‘’C:\Users\<username> \AppData\Local\Packages’’. E.g.,” Microsoft.BingMaps_8wekyb3d8bbwe”
Let’s see what happens.
Also, considering that the corrupted user profile will cause this issue, please test in new user account to see if it can work fine.

Vmware-config-tools.pl doesn't work after installing vmi-enabled kernel in SUSE 10 SP 2

I have recently updated my SUSE 10 SP2 to VMI enabled kernel download from Novell. Now I can't run vmware-config-tools.pl it is not finding C header files that match my running kernel. I get following error message "What is the location of the directory of C header files that match your running kernel? /usr/src/linux/include"
Following is my kernel version
Linux 2.6.16.60-0.33-vmi #1 SMP
Please let me know what i need to do to successfully run vmware configuration.

After changing 'MS SQL server' service's user name SDAC doesn't work properly

I've changed 'MS SQL Server' service user name
from .\admin (have had such already) to network_services
and now my oracle linked servers to Oracle instance stopped to work.
Namely, 'Cannot create an instance of OLE DB provider "OraOLEDB.Oracle" for linked server Ora_RO'.
In event log i see next:

Group Play missing in preload and install doesn't work for music

samsung's Group Play is a GREAT app to share music on different phones on the same wifi....so if you are outside, it shares all the other connected phones' speaker makes music sound great...I put the v3.0.184 on my Note 4 all that works is file and image share....my daughter has a T-Mobile S5 she opened it up and it updated immediately and had camcorder, video, file, music, and image share.....I guess there's a remote option also....that didn't work either on my end anyway...that would be really cool.
Samsung chat tech supp spent over an hour trying to fix this....Group Play worked great on my Note 3....the music, file, and image share works on my Note Tab 4 but only file and image share works on the Note 4....anyone have any ideas....is the Verizon's bloat wear if T-Mobile's works fine?

let me try to explain a little better the structure.
The first "intro" video loads fine, but once you go inside,
choosing "Catalán" or "Castellano" there are more videos
located on the right side of the screen.
The "intro" video is located in a folder, let's say
rootServer/flv/videoIntro.flv, and is loaded using the *.swf that
is located in the main rootServer/parcsud.swf.
But the other videos are loaded using other *.swf's that are
located in a folder rootServer/swf/moviex.swf and are calling the
videos from this same folder;: rootServer/flv/videox.flv
If we put the videos directly into the root of the server
(rootServer/videox.flv ; rootServer/videoy.flv ; etc...) they all
load. If we keep them into this flv folder they don't load.
Is it normal that mozilla doesn't accept this kind of paths?

Oracle 8i on Windows ME install doesn't work -- HELP!

No, you aren4t installing the wrong version of Personal Oracle 8i. To do this in WINDOWS ME, you need before the installation to change the WIN.INI file, adding a line in the section [Compatibility95] : Jrew=0x00080000. After you reboot your system, try to install the Personal. Hope that it helps you. Good luck

Thumb drive install doesn't work

Running OS 10.6.8 on my Mac mini (Intel Core 2 duo.) I just tried to install Lion with the thumb drive. When I get to the point where it ask which drive I want to install it on, all of the drives, including the internal HD which is the one I want to use) are greyed out and can't be selected. Ideas? Vmware tools installed but not working.

I installed vmware 9.0.2 from pacman and also installed vmware-tools but when I fire up windows xp (for brittanica encyclopedia) in vmware it asks me to download & install vmware tools,
1. When i've already installed it with pacman ( it contained tools for freebsd, linux, windows etc. ), why is vmware wants to install it again ?
2. When vmware asks to download & install vmware-tools, it downloads but gives error that "A software conponent failed to installed..." basically it fails to install.
3. How to get vmware-tools working ?
How to solve this problem ?

IMac Flash install doesn't work

I have attempted to install Flash 14 on my iMac at least 10 times and without fail the install always fails and locks up my iMac every time the retrieving window comes up. My system has plenty of HD and memory so that can not be the issue and I have turned off my anti virus.

the first time after reload the server I got the message IA32bit.dll can't load on a 64bit system.
alle addtional tries a got the internal error.
It seem for me there is an old 32bit- dll in the CSM 4.2.
