Server Admin connected but doesn't show anything

Server Admin can't seem to show anything from the local server. Overview is empty and the services overview says Not available, Yet I know the services are available. I rebooted the server, but nothing.
Any hints as to what is happening. I look at system.log but nothing jumps at a me for a problem. And the servermgrd only shows:

How do I get back control?

I believe the GUI communicates via servermgrd. You could try "sudo launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/ com.apple.servermgrd.plist" and replace "load" with "unload" as required.
Verify that servermgrd is running to begin with.
Also, you could remove the server from the list, reboot, and add it back via IP or loopback address and "server_name.local" to see if it responds.
You might also see if it will respond to the Admin Tools installed on an appropriate workstation.

IPod Appears As Connected But Doesn't Show Up On iTunes

I synced my ipod (an 80GB Classic) the night before and when I turned it on later it was like a clean slate; no music, no videos, just some pictures. Well I tried to sync it today but itunes prompted me to restore it to its factory settings because there had been an error. Now when I try to connect it, it doesn't show up on my itunes even though my ipod itself shows connection has been made. I have tried "the 5 R's", have the latest version of itunes and still all I have to show are the same few pictures... I've only had it for a little over two months and have had no problems prior to this, can someone please help?

Also you might try forcing the iPod into disk mode first, then connecting it to your computer and see if that makes it show up in iTunes...

iPod says it's "connected" but it doesn't show up on iTunes. I've tried to reset it but can't figure out how to restore it. Everything on the ipod has been erased and it keeps freezing...

ok, ive been having the dame problem as the guy/girl who posted it i went to the site and i restarted the iPod service, that didn't work, then i uninstalled itunes and it showed up in itunes the first time i pluged my it in but a message, i thnk it was "-48" something about not being able to sync but it synced all the songs but the next time i plugged it didn't show up in itunes and a message in the bottom syaing "Windows - Delayed Write Failed, Windows was unable to save all the data for the file I:\ipod.control

Lightroom opens but doesn't show anything

Hello, I'm using Lightroom 1.3.1 on an Imac. Installed Leopard about a week ago. Seemed to be working fine. Imported photo's yesterday without any problems. Today Lightroom is opening, well at least the lighroomthings are in the bar above, but nothing happens. It doesnt show anything still staring at my leopard stars..I can do nothing!
Already looked for updates. Started the I mac with shift. Didn't work out. I have Symantec, but didn't seem to be a problem before...help?

Try this: Go to your folder where the .lrcat lives, inside your Pictures folder. Look inside for a file that ends in .lock, with Lightroom shut down. Delete it. Then double click on the .lrcat file ; if it isn't there, double click on it anyway. If still no joy, look for other .lrcat files.

I-Pod nano reacts when connected but doesn't do anything when disconnected

iPod nano reacts and shows music when connected, I can listen also to the music then, but when I disconnect it, it doesn't react at all. I diconnected it right, the battery is charged, I downloaded Itunes succesfully but I can't use my iPod. Maybe it has something to do that I have Windows Vista? Can anyone give me advise what to do?

9300i connects but doesn't show up in PC Sync

Hi,
My 9300i connects via Bluetooth and the Nokia PC Suite. I can transfer files no problem, so it is definitely connected.
However, the PC Sync window shows no phone connected, and clicking on the "Select Phone" does nothing at all. It all used to work fine, then suddenly stopped - I've upgrade PC Suite twice, to no avail.
Any clues?

Does this happen with other applications?
Try opening a Terminal window and typing:
killall Dock
Which will restart the Dock. I bet it shows up. Other folks have had issues with this and it's usually the Dock has crashed.

When i went to unlock, screen was acting up. had to click, then double click just to get one letter to work to do my password. now it lights up but doesn't show anything on the screen.what happened?

So i stayed the night at my friends house. when i wokeup i went to go on my ipad.. clicked the lock button and went to scroll my arrow so i could unlock it..but i had to click the box with the arrow in it, then double click the arrow before i could move it. same thing when i was typing up my password. i had to click a letter, double tap it to register, then tap then double tap, and repeat until my password was done. now, about 48 hours later when i click the lock button, i see the display light up, like it shows the backlights on. but nothing appears on the screen. whats wrong with my ipad? my parents are so mad. **recently upgraded to ios 6**

XML shows in Flash, but doesn't show on server?

Hello.
I have a Flash website with 5 sections (Featured Work, News, About Me, Services, Contact). All the sections works fine, both in Flash and on the server, if the content isn't loaded from XML. But in the News section i use XML for loading the news.
If i test my movie in flash, the whole site works fine, and the XML News works perfect. But if i test the movie in a virtual server (like MAMP) or if i test it on my own server, the news section doesn't show.
I can't seem to find the problem?

I tried pasting the trace(MT2.newsNum,Number(MT2.newsNum)) in both out and in the for loop, and i still get the same trace "5 5"
I'm not really sure what to do, so i'll just try explaining my whole site to you:
I have my "main.fla" with three layers with actionsscript:
- Navigation Actions
     - Has a for loop that creates 6 textfields with clickevents and SWFAddress that changes between 6 frames in a MovieClip (SubNavBar).
- Positioning Actions
     - Positions the textfield buttons, the navigation bar, and the sub navigation bar in the SubNavBar movieclip, and places my dynamic background.
- XML
     - I can't explain the XML layer, so i have attached it.
The SubNavBar MovieClip has 6 frames. The 1 is empty, so the site is clear at first. In frame 2, 4 and 6 there is a for loop like in the navigation layer, so these layers have a sub navigation bar, that once again changes between some frames in a movieclip.
In frame 3 their is the news code i pasted earlier, and in frame 5 there isn't anything yes, but it should just be graphics.

I turned on my computer but it doesn't show anything on the screen

I turn on my iMac, I hear it running, but the screen doesn't show anything and it also doesn't make the 2 beeps it usually makes when I press the power button. There is also slight ringing when it is off and still connected to a power source.
I've tried disconnecting the power cord for 30 seconds, plugging it back and waiting a few more seconds and turn it on.

I have no idea what may have caused your MacBook to stop working, but from your description it kind of sounds like it may have started before you ran Software Update and installed the new Apps. Just the general slow feeling and bugginess is what tips me off. You said that you weren't sure if you had closed all open windows, that doesn't matter if the computer restarts itself. It automatically closes all other open applications when restarting.
As to your data being retrievable, if when you take it in they do a fresh install of the OS, then no, it will not be unless you want to pay several thousand dollars to a software retrieval company.
I am glad to hear that you have taken into the Apple Store to get it fixed, and that you have all of your purchased music backed up to your iPod. You should be able to just transfer it all back to iTunes once you get your computer back should it be necessary.
As a side note, the proper place for this topic would probably in the MacBook forums, not iTunes since there is no evidence that iTunes started the issue.

If you do not see the events or clips you were working with previously, first see if you can switch back to the library you were using with this method:
Show or hide the Libraries list
You select libraries and events in the Libraries list.
To show the Libraries list: Click the Show button on the left side of the toolbar.
The default location for iMovie libraries is the Movies folder in your home folder.

Open Finder preferences, click on the General icon in the toolbar. Check the boxes for what you want displayed on the Desktop. Click on the Sidebar icon in the toolbar and do the same for what you want displayed in the sidebar.
