Server Admin font size??

How do I increase the font size of the Server Admin log viewer? It is so small I can't read it.
Is this Apple's way of punishing me for having a big screen?

You can't; this is set when the form is created.
But you may use the Zoom function to enlarge the entire document.

  • Is there a way to increase font size of SQL Server Object Explorer

    I am visually impaired and even with my glasses I have to get a few inches from the screen to view items in the object explorer; Specifically the table names in Table Explorer and the Stored Procedures use a font I cannot read.
    I use magnifyer but Visual Studio has a Tool Windows option for Font Size that seems to be missing in SQL Server I am using 2008 R2, but I have not seen an option for Tool Windows in any version of SQL Server.
    Is there a way, or are there plans for the next version to have this?
    I need to know before I invest significant time to build a package, but if there built in funcationality it would save me a lot of time.
    I am surprised SQL Server is the only MS product I have seen that is not accessible to persons with disabilities (The Object Explorer is critical to SQL Server navigation)

    I'm not aware of this being a enhancement in SQL Server 2012.
    To help you in the meantime, did you realise that you can filter the Stored Procedures and Tables that appear in Object Explorer?  if you right click on these nodes in Object Explorer and select Filter | Filter Settings, you can create a filter to limit
    the list of Stored Procedures and Tables that appear in their respective lists.
    Example 1
    If you were looking for a stored procedure called usp_HardToFind, you would enter the following:
    Property = Name
    Operator = Contains
    Value = Hard (or dome other value you're looking for)
    This would list all stored procedures with a name containing Hard
    Example 2
    If you were looking for a tabled called ComplexTableName, you would enter the following:
    Property = Name
    Operator = Contains
    Value = Complex (or dome other value you're looking for)
    This would list all tables with a name containing Complex
    I know it's not the same as being able to change font sizes however it may still assist you

  • PDF Format Oracle Reports font size is not consistent.

    My process is generating the batch oracle Reports.
    Their key map is:
    Key1: %* server=server1 userid=xxxs/xxx@xxxx report=D:\sample.rdf destype=file desformat=PDF
    My process is calling IAS server to generate report. IAS server is generating and saving the report in the specified location. The problem is sometimes the report font size is very tiny (especially headers & footers), it is happening for few reports. What could be the reason is there anyway to make sure that always the generated reports font size is good.

    it is happening for few reportsSo is the problem that the same reports-module sometimes has the right font and sometimes not, or is there one report which has always the wrong font?

  • Report viewer is not printing the exact font size format if the application is run through virtual machine or RDP.

    Hi good day!,
    I'm still having this problem with the font size format of my report, although I already installed this hotfix at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2768741/en-us, if I run the application using RDP or virtual machine. Anyway, I'm using VS2010 with sql server
    2012 express through windows 7. Actually, I tried to search for a new and updated hotfix version but having no luck,:) since i'm not good at it (google search).:)
    So, I need help on how to fix this problem.
    Your help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Hardz

    Hi JJorheim,
    Thanks for the link that you had given. Actually, Previewing the report on an RDP or VM environment is not a problem at all because it yields smooth result based on the report design. The problem only exist if print button icon of the report viewer is pressed
    which results to a magnified font size printout. I think it is a rendering problem a somewhat default behavior of a report viewer print method. So one of the remedy is to adjust the resolution of an RDP or VM to 1024x768
    (4:3 ratio) as suggested by the others, which momentarily solve this problem but not necessarily the other way around.
    Anyway, thanks again for the reply.

  • How can I change the font size on the post of WordPress?

    I have found three websites which address WordPress style sheets:
    Playing With Fonts: http://codex.wordpress.org/Playing_With_…
    Font Size and Color: http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/…
    How to Change Font Size In Wordpress: http://www.ehow.com/how_5469172_change-f…
    Here are the instructions from the third website above:
    Things You'll Need:
    Site designed in Wordpress
    Administrator access
    Step 1
    First, to change the font size on a Wordpress site you need to log into the site as administrator. If you do not know how to reach the login page, simply add "/wp-login.php" after the "www.url.com" address. Then login using the admin sign in.
    Step 2
    Next, get to the Wordpress file editor by going to Appearance->Editor.
    Step 3
    Once in Editor, identify the Stylesheet file (style.css) and click to edit. This is usually located on the right hand side under the "Styles" heading.
    Step 4
    Once in the style.css file, you want to conduct a search for "fontsize". This parameter is used throughout the style.css file and is the parameter used to control font size. Next to "fontsize" you will see something like "16px". Simply increase or decrease the "16" to change font size. The tricky part is to figure out which "fontsize" you want to edit.
    The way to do this is to first look at the heading it is under. If it is under "comment-template", it is obviously related to either the font size of the comments themselves or perhaps the comment form or the date/time stamp of the comment.
    It may take a little trial and error to find the right "fontsize" to modify. Simply modify the one you think is correct and in a separate window, reload the page with the font you are looking to modify. If it did not change, undo the previous edit and try a different "fontsize".
    I went to the Dashboard and clicked on the “Appearance” icon on the left-hand side, and then clicked on editor. I clicked on Stylesheet (style.css), but I have not been able to find the “fontsize” that would change my post font size. As the author writes: "The tricky part is to figure out which "fontsize" you want to edit." Some of the font sizes are given as a percentage, and I don’t know if these come into question, i.e., if I should try changing one of these to see what happens.
    The end result is that I still have not been able to change my post font size, other than by using the Heading-1-through-6 option, which, I understand, is not the best way to do it.

    From John Waller: “If you're using IE8, hit F12 to launch Developer Tools which give you a point and click method of locating the relevant CSS rule on screen.”
    I have Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) so tried this method.
    This sounded like another promising possibility; however, I have not been able to change the font size in my post using this method.
    I have gone to Dashboard > Posts > Edit > then moused-over my post > clicked on "edit" and then hit F12. An enormous amount (20 pages or more) of CSS appears. I tried picking out the font size that I thought pertains to the post (under Text Area), and I have changed the font size from 13px to 24px; however, I have not been able to “save” the new setting. When I go back to it, it is back to 13px.
    As a result, I have not been able to use a trial-and-error method to establish which font size I must change in order to change the font size of my post.

  • CR XI R2 pdf export font size issue

    Exporting a report to PDF using Crystal XI R2 seems to be reducing the size of the fonts. When printing directly from CR and exporting to PDF and printing from the PDF viewer the font sizes are smaller. Any ideas on what I can do to correct the problem?

    Please refer following SAP note:
    Business Objects Notes Get Help | Close
       1220516 - Font size decreases when report is exported to PDF from Crystal Reports XI or Crystal Reports XI Release 2
    Language   English     Version   1     Validity: 07.05.2008 - active
    Edit Print View Show change log Show Internal Memos
    Content:    Summary   |   Header Data   |   Other Properties
    Symptom
    In Crystal Reports XI and Crystal Reports XI Release 2 the font shrinks by approximately 10% when a report is exported to Adobe Acrobat Format (PDF).
    Cause
    This behavior is due to the way Windows and UNIX, and therefore Crystal Reports, handles low point size fonts on a low-resolution screen. Text layout in the absence of a printer driver will consistently be rendered differently than in PDF.
    Crystal Reports currently shrinks the font by 10% to prevent any truncation this difference may cause.
    Resolution
    CAUTION The following resolution involves editing the registry. Using the Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall the Microsoft Windows operating system. Use the Registry Editor at your own risk. It is strongly recommended that you make a backup copy of the registry files before you edit the registry. For information on how to edit the registry key, view the 'Changing Keys And Values' online Help topic in the Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
    To resolve the behavior
    Set the resolution of the default printer of the local computer experiencing the issue to 1200 DPI. Most printers have a default setting of 600 DPI.
    Create two registry keys to prevent the crxf_pdf.dll from decreasing in font size.
    Click Start > Run. Type "regedit". The Registry Editor appears.
    Create the following keys for Crystal Reports XI with the defined values:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Business Objects\Suite 11.0\Crystal Reports\Export\PDF\ForceLargerFonts
    Type: DWORD
    Recognized Values: 0,1
    Default Value: 1
    Creation Method: manual
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Business Objects\Suite 11.0\Crystal Reports\Export\PDF\ForceLargerFonts
    Type: DWORD
    Recognized Values: 0,1
    Default Value: 1
    Creation Method: manual
    Set both registry key values to 1 to turn them on.
    Create the following keys for Crystal Reports XI Release 2 with the defined values:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Business Objects\Suite 11.5\Crystal Reports\Export\PDF\ForceLargerFonts
    Type: DWORD
    Recognized Values: 0,1
    Default Value: 1
    Creation Method: manual
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Business Objects\Suite 11.5\Crystal eports\Export\PDF\ForceLargerFonts
    Type: DWORD
    Recognized Values: 0,1
    Default Value: 1
    Creation Method: manual
    Set both registry key values to 1 to turn them on.
    In UNIX, an X server client such as x-win32 must be installed. Add the keys as follows:
    Launch the X server client.
    Source <bobje install>/bobje/setup using env.sh (for example: ./env.sh).
    Create the registry keys as detailed above.
    Restart the Report Page and Cache Servers.
    ====================
    NOTES:
    If using Windows 2003 Server, upgrade to Acrobat Reader version 8.0 or higher as well as creating the above registry keys.
    Use the appropriate path to access the UNIX regedit as follows:
    AIX: <bobje install>/bobje/enterprise115/aix_rs6000/crpe/mw/bin-aix4_optimized/regedit
    Sun Solaris: <bobje install>/bobje/enterprise115/solaris_sparc/crpe/mw/bin-sunos5_optimized/regedit
    Linux: <bobje install>/bobje/enterprise115/solaris_sparc/crpe/mw/bin-linux_optimized/regedit

  • Change font size of an ITS

    Hi,
    it's possible to change the font size of an Internet Service?
    How I can find to which CSS (Mime repository?) is related an ITS?
    Thanks for answers.

    Hello Lorenzo,
    Yes this is possible.
    If it is an ITSMobile service - you can use the parameter: ~ITSMOBILECSSINCLUDE
    See the following WIKI:
    Service Parameter and Settings - Wiki - SCN Wiki
    and create the CSS file in SE80
    Same goes for IAC's
    See the SAP HELP - the Cascading Stylesheets (CSS) are stored in the MIME's folder

  • Printing a Dashboard in pdf format with bigger font size ?

    Hi,
    When we are trying to print a Dashboard with few reports in pdf format, the font size seems to be very small in the print, and it is not readable.
    Is there a way where in we can make the pdf's print a bit larger?
    Thanks

    Yes, at last I managed to change the look and feel of the generated PDF, including the font.
    The attributes of all the objects that can be affected in the pdf output are kept in 2 .fst files: for general attributes in pdfstyle.fst and for pivottable attributes in pivot.pdf.
    These 2 files are present for every skin, like Oracle_10 and Siebel77.
    Try a global find and replace of 0.75pt to 4.0pt and 8pt to 20pt in pivot.fst. Save the file, restart the presentation server, log in again and try print to pdf of an existing pivot table. It will have thick borders and a big font.
    I still do not understand that the same attributes are kept in 2 different files. For a color-change it is necassary to change the file views.css and the .fst file(s).
    Good luck changing fonts and colors.

  • Help on font sizes and browser resizing issues

    When browsers resize the text, they can have a significant impact on the my designs. I am using CSS positioning, and not tables. I am also using relative font sizes, usually ems. I can get everthing to look right on my pages when the browsers are set at the normal or medium text size. But, i run into problems when the browser is set at the large or largest text size. I need help dealing with this issue in general. But, here's an example that best illustrates the problem:
    I set some white-colored text on a dark background in a  banner at set at 800px x 50px. The font size is set at 1 ems. The background color for the rest of the page is white. So, when the white-colored text fits easily within the banner, everything works okay. But, when the browser resizes the text, the white text flows beyond the dark background color of the banner and becomes invisible on the white background of the page. Is there some way to use margins, padding, or line size to manage this type of situation?
    What are the best tactics to use regarding font size when using CSS positioning ?
    Thanks for any help on this question.

    Thank you for your prompt response. I will put my page on a test server when I can. But, for now, here is my code below.
    I get your point about flexibility.The question is how? What are the best approaches to use?  I have the sense that more experienced designers have some conventional tactics for ensuring the pages read reasonably well even when the text size is enlarged in the browsers, but I am not sure what approach might work in general.
    Part of the issue with this particular design is that I am actually using a background image in the header/banner. And it has a set height:51 px. I don't want it to repeat it vertically whenever someone enlarges the text size in their browser.
    Again, I would appreciate any help offered.

  • Problem with decreased font size in exported PDF.

    We have a web site running on a Windows 2008R2 server.
    The site was developed with Visual Studio 2010 using  .NET 4.0.and is running in 32bit. The associated application pool uses a specific local user.
    We have some reports that include a barcode font. The font is installed on the server and the reports are rendered in PDF on the server side to avoid the need to have the barcode font installed on all clients. The PDF renders correctly but we are facing the decreased font size problem
    We followed the instructions included in this post:
    Unfortunately the part regarding VS 2010 does not seem to work.
    If we add the specified Key on the HKLM section of the registry, it doesnu2019t have any effect.
    If we add it on the HKCU section while logged in with the same user assigned to the application pool, everything seems to work fine. But as soon as the user is logged out, the reports stop working.
    Have anybody figured out how to configure correctly those keys with this configuration?

    Try putting it under the HKU/.default path.  You can also use process monitor to see where the application is looking.

  • Font size incorrect when printing smartform

    Hi,
    I have a smartform containing many smaller windows with frames. One big window should show a word in grey and in big letters behind all the other windows.
    In my smartstyles, I have used the font family "HELVE", font style bold and the size 72. When I print to a sap printer device, the word is printed in very small letters and in black. When I´m printing about LOCL and then on the same printer, the fontsize is correct.
    What can I do to change that?
    The second problem is, that the letters are shown over the frames of the other windows, but it should be completely in the background. I put the window with the backgorund letters as the first window on the screen to get it behind all others, but it´s not working....
    Cheers Arne

    Define the paragraphs & character formats using SMARTSTYLES & use them in your smartform.
    You have to give the smartstyle name in the Form attributes-->Output options for the formats to be used in your smartform.
    frm ur pc only u can get this font file..
    go to control panel , in tat go to font and select your desired font file..
    now give the path of this font file in se73..
    after doing that this file will be uploaded into ur SAP server.
    Se73 - > True type font installation - > Font name - > specify the name of the font file - > execute

I select File Sharing then Share Points, and just get a spinning indicator on the lower right. I can browse the volumes, but clicking on a user's folder does nothing. The Share/Unshare button never becomes active and I can't view the permissions. Other functions of the Server Admin seem to be OK, except the Web settings take forever to show up. This happens whether I run Server Admin locally or remotely.
    I get this from the Console when I launch Server Admin but it makes no sense:
    12/28/07 5:48:48 PM /Applications/Server/Server Admin.app/Contents/MacOS/Server Admin[632] ATS AutoActivation: MDQueryExecute failed! (params: queryString = {comapple_ats_namepostscript == "ArialMS" && kMDItemContentTypeTree != com.adobe.postscript-lwfn-font}, valueListAttrs = {<CFArray 0x10092ba0 [0x12321a0]>{type = immutable, count = 1, values = (
    0 : <CFString 0x2ea09d8 [0x12321a0]>{contents = "kMDItemContentType"}
    )}}, sortingAttrs = {<CFArray 0x10092bc0 [0x12321a0]>{type = immutable, count = 1, values = (
    0 : <CFString 0x2ea0908 [0x12321a0]>{contents = "kMDItemContentModificationDate"}
    )}}, scopeList = {<CFArray 0x10092be0 [0x12321a0]>{type = immutable, count = 1, values = (
    0 : <CFString 0x2ea1b28 [0x12321a0]>{contents = "kMDQueryScopeComputer"}
    because I get the something similar when I launch FileMaker from the same machine:
    12/28/07 5:48:42 PM /Applications/FileMaker Pro 9/FileMaker Pro.app/Contents/MacOS/FileMaker Pro[628] ATS AutoActivation: MDQueryExecute failed! (params: queryString = {comapple_ats_namefond=="B773B2D3A9FAC5E9"}, valueListAttrs = {<CFArray 0xb2ba910 [0x51de1a0]>{type = immutable, count = 1, values = (
    0 : <CFString 0x67e09d8 [0x51de1a0]>{contents = "kMDItemContentType"}
    )}}, sortingAttrs = {<CFArray 0xb2babb0 [0x51de1a0]>{type = immutable, count = 1, values = (
    0 : <CFString 0x67e0908 [0x51de1a0]>{contents = "kMDItemContentModificationDate"}
    )}}, scopeList = {<CFArray 0xb2bacb0 [0x51de1a0]>{type = immutable, count = 1, values = (
    0 : <CFString 0x67e1b28 [0x51de1a0]>{contents = "kMDQueryScopeComputer"}
    Any ideas where to look?

    Use the inspector in work group manager to delete /config/sharepoints.
    You will need to be in the local directory in work group manager and you will have to reshare all shares but no data will be removed. You should probably reboot after deleting the directory. This would replace the old way of doing it in the past with netinfo manager since we don't have netinfo anymore.
