Server cabinet for X serve

Hello
Im getting a new X serve, a 2U UPS and a new hub and need to rack mount them all. No problems with the UPS or hub but i know the Xserves are pretty deep.
So my question is does anyone know a London UK based supplier of racks that i can fit an xserve in?
Any other advise will be greatly received. I know its a 19" rack, its the depth that concerns me.
Im pretty sure you get a rack mounting kit with a new xserve too, well it says so on the apple site anyway so no worries there.

First, congrats on your purchase.
Next, are you mounting the Xserve in a dedicated server room or server closet, or are you planning to use it in an office space?
If the former, then you have vast numbers of models and types of racks to choose from and (if you're on a budget) look around for local businesses that are replacing their servers or that are shutting down and at eBay or craigslist. Used racks don't have much residual value and they're not cheap to ship; look around locally. I've used APC racks and HP 10000-series series racks, and various others. There are some open-rail racks that work nicely, and all manner of server room cabinetry.
If the latter, then you will want an acoustical rack; Xserve can get pretty loud for an office. Too loud. There are rather fewer of these racks around and they're less commonly found on the surplus market. Options here include Aiino, Xterme Xrack and various Gizmac racks. Probably others. The Gizmac racks seem to be the most common around here.
Of all the racks I've met, the APC racks are fairly flexible, and the Xserve rackmount kits are reasonably tolerant. Older and single-vendor racks are more of a hassle; if the vendor didn't intend a variety of gear, the rack tends to be more non-standard. About the only thing that's "standard" on some racks is the distance between the front rails. A few rack vendors have managed to mess even that spacing with lips and overhangs. But I digress. Racks intended for Xserve will be the easiest. Some other racks can require some retrofit-engineering.

Server settings for remote Server in Flash Builder 4.5 Premium

Has anyone figured this out? Seems like everyone is talking about FlashBuilder that comes with PHP and that doesn't help me. So I'm still having trouble moving my mobile app to a remote server and I have FlashBuilder 4.5 Premium without PHP.
I have created a PHP project outside of Flash Builder and then I have connected to it using the Data/Service tab, but then it ask for the server information and that is where I'm having the issues.
It works create with the setting like this.
MAC:
Server Options
Web Root: /Applications/MAMP/htdocs
Root URL: http://localhost/
But when you try to export a release build or just like to test it, and insert your server settings.

Web Root: /home/username/domain_name/
Root URL: http://mydomain.com
It doesn't Validate which in turn won't let the project work. Also it would be nice to put the remote server in there for testing instead of just for release builds. Any one have an answer. Every tutorial or explanation shows localhost.

I have found a solution: In ZendFramework/library/Zend/Amf/Response/Http.php linenumber 59:
$ssl = $_SERVER['HTTPS']; is given an error.
I did this:
$_SERVER['HTTPS'] = 'off';
$ssl = $_SERVER['HTTPS'];
So add this line....
And it works...

EDIT: After checking with NETSTAT command in windows cmd, I dont find port 4567 being used.. So it might not be the reason. But it sertainly is worth a try.

Mail does not retain correct external server path for Exchange Server '07 even when "automatically detect and maintain account settings" is unchecked. Advice?

Mail keeps resetting the external server path for an Exchange server '07 account when the program is closed and reopened. This happens even though "automatically detect and maintain account settings" is unchecked. To reset to the correct setting I need to disable the account, make the change and save with the account disabled, close Mail, reopen Mail, and enable the account. Then the settings are maintained and Mail works great... until Mail is closed and reopened again. At that point the server path reverts to an incorrect setting. Anyone else experiencing this? Advice? I don't think this is a problem with the Exchange server because this problem did not happen with OS X Mavericks.

Open Keychain Access in Applications/Utilities
Search for your Dreamhost accounts. There should be two entries (incoming, outgoing) for each account.
It's not uncommon to find old entries. You might want to delete all and start clean.The Keychain isn't smart and will keep all old entries when you add/change a password.
While you are in the Keychain run Keychain First Aid, Under Keychain Access in the Menu bar.
Open Mail
Open Connection Doctor.
If you see red for the account, enter the password again.
If you continue to have problems, delete the account then add it back.

Microsoft Project Server Support for SQL Server 2014

Does anyone know the timeline for Microsoft Project Server to support deployment on SQL Server 2014? Also, has anyone tried this yet as an unsupported deployment, and if so, have they found any issues?

10.8: Setting cert server uses for remote Server.app

Setting up a 10.8 server from scratch.
I have a properly-obtained trusted cert, valid for more than one year, which is successfully installed on the server and appears in the cert pane in Server.app. In the pane in Server.app the server is set to use it for everything.
I am trying to connect to Server.app on my server from a 10.8 client. When I connect to it I'm told the server is untrustworthy and shown a self-signed root cert valid for one year. I don't want the server to use this self-signed cert for that, I want it to use my trustworthy cert. But I can't see where to change this setting.

Should anyone care, apparently if files like 0000_any_443_.conf are manually edited in any way Server.app punts the football & gives up with the above error. Seems like a hyper-sensitive hard-coded parser.
FWIW, I had only added 1 line defining the param ServerName since I was seeing errors like this in the log:
[warn] RSA server certificate CommonName (CN) `secure.mycompany.com' does NOT match server name!?
Defining ServerName squelched this warning but causes Server.app to pout.

Server Timeout for Authentication server

Hi all
Does anybody know how to increase server timeout more than 30 sec, may be 60 sec.
Our LDAP structure very deep, 5 levels - I mean login accounts placed on the 5th level from the top.
I configureed web-authentication via LDAP, for test I created new OU and login is succesfull.
Then when real account with real OU tried to login, there always timeout error on debug window of WLC.
So I am sure it is because of deep tree of AD. It is configured long time ago and this structure already used by some applications so almost impossible to change this structure.
So only way I see to increase server timeout.

Admin Server conole for managed Server

I have one question regarding weblogic server 10.3 If the Admin Server is Not avilable can we make the consoleApp Deployed on the AdminServer make it avialable on the Managed Servers?
If that is possible then please let me know the steps how to do?

 Without having an AdminServer if we are able to make changes then Actually there is No Need of an admin Server at all
"consoleapp" is the application which is called as Admin Console application which gets automatically (Internally) deployed on the Admin Server Only... So if the AdminServer is down then u don't have any option to access the AdminConsole.
If your ManagedServers are running on MSI Mode (ManagedServer Independence mode ...Means Without AdminServer Running) It means those Managed Servers are using the Old Configuration files which the Admin Server has created when it was last booted.
Still if you want to make some configuration changes then you can try editing the *"config.xml"* and *"msi-config.xml"* (msi-config.xml file u need to edit only if you are starting your ManagedServers using NodeManager) file manually in each Managed Server Box. But that is not a recommended way....Afterwards u need to restart your ManagedServers.
NOTE If you will explicitly try to deploy the "consoleapp" to any of the ManagedServer then you will get the following Error: (where localhost:7001 is the AdminServer URL)

SQL Server Sizing for Lync Server 2013

We are planning to install Lync Server 2013 with 800 users, but I can find any information about the SQL Server instance sizing.
Can anyone give me an estimation or prior experience with similar installations? I need to know Disk size, memory an CPU number.

There are a few variables to consider. Are you turning on monitoring, archiving, and is enterprise voice enabled? Is persistent chat enabled? Is it virtualized? Is this Lync enterprise edition or standard with a portion of the
databases hosted on full SQL? Are you required to retain any information or logs for a specific amount of time? Are you keeping SQL backups local with maintenance plans and for how long?
I would suggest not going below 16GB for a SQL Server, but you may not need much more. If it's virtual I'd throw 4 cores at it at least and disk space will vary based upon what you're doing and how long you want to keep things. Thick provision
those drives and make sure the logs and databases are on separate partitions.
