Server for email not connecting

I keep getting an error that the server will not connect.  I deleted the account and tried to re establish, but will not finish the process.Help

Thanks for replying. I was told buy my server godaddy to go
to this godaddyhelp.com and put in the search "gdform" I did and
this code for a gd.aspform so I copied it and pasted it in my code
in dreamweaver and tried to use their form with gd.asp in the
action field and that did not work? When I push submit a "Page can
not be found error" (the white 404 page) comes up and it does not
submit it to the email which I have set in my server for my emails
to go through. But they told me to use asp yes. Do ya think you can
help me??? OK Thanks again

You say you have the pse 5 disk?
I guess you do't have a dvd drive on your new windows 8 computer?
Do you have access to another computer with a dvd drive?
Anyway if you can find another computer with a dvd drive you could copy the pse 5 install disc to removable device like a camera card or flash drive.
You can also buy cheap usb dvd drives.

  • PowerPivot: data no longer available due to "the server object is not connected."

    Hi,
I'm using Excel 2013 for building a PowerPivot model. Currently 2 table are inserted (txt files) which are related by a unique customer ID.
At for me random moments the connections with the files gets lost and no data is shown. Nevertheless, the number of rows and column headers are still visible. If I go the 'existing connections' and choose 'refresh' I got the following errror: "We couldn't
refresh the connection, please go to existing connections and verify the connect to the file or server". If I try to edit the data ('edit connection') I see immediatly a preview of the date. But when I choose save I receive the following error: "unhandeld
exception has occured in a component in your application ... The server object is not connected."
Remarkebly I never had this problem with the same data in Excel 2010. Anyone an idea what could cause this problem and a way to work around this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Rolf

I have the same error after installed Dec.9 updates, and then other thread suggest me remove them. it worked.
    Good luck.

  • One or more hard drives in Server Backup are not connected

A year ago I moved from Windows Home Server to Server Essentials 2012 as a backup solution for my simple home configuration - 2 Windows 7 Professional desktops.  It was a perfect solution and works flawlessly - and has saved my tail on numerous
    occasions.
The configuration is simple - I have a internal SSD drive from the operating system and a few other applications and (2) identical 4 Terabyte internal hard drives setup as a single storage pool - configured as a 2 way mirror.  Every few days when I
log into the Windows Dashboard and check out the alert viewer, I have a single error - "One or more hard drives in Server Backup are not connected".  When I follow the instructions - open the dashboard, click storage, hard drives - I see a single
C drive (which of course is connected - it runs the OS) and a single D drive - the storage pool.  Clicking on the D drive and "Advanced - Manage Storage Spaces" shows my single pool (a green OK) and the 2 physical drives (also a green OK).
There are no other drives attached to this server - no external USB drives, external hard drives - nothing.  Why is WSE showing this message?
    Matt M

Go into the Server Backup Selections and reconfirm what is selected, then save.
If it persists, change the selection (remove a folder) and save, then go back in and correct it, then save.

    Hi John,
    Sorry for replying late.
I ran the EPM diagnostic and found EAS & APS application are failed. So as you mentioned, i tried re-deployment through EPM configurator.
But Re-configuration fails with error "An unexpected error occurred and the application will have to shut down" .
When i looked in to the Config tool.log,I got the following messages.

Since it is similare to the Oracle konwledge base article - (Doc ID 1570293.1), I tried adding the shared service domain to the Windows host file. But i am still recieveing the same error message as above.

    Hello,
Thank you SusyQ for providing helpful and accurate assistance. It is very much appreciated.
Schueka, were you able to get the data package changed? If not, and as long as you are the Account Owner or an Account Manager who has access to make changes online, you can update the data feature yourself. Please follow the steps outlined below:
Sign in to My Verizon using the Account Owner's user id and password information.
If there are more than one phones active on your account, choose the number from the drop-down box that you wish to make changes to.
Under the I Want To section, click on the icon that reads Change Features.
If there are more than one device active on the account, choose the number you wish to make changes to and click on Next.
Under the Smartphone Data Packages, choose the Unlimited Data option for $29.99 and click Next.
Follow the prompts to complete the feature change.
If you have any trouble with making this change, feel free to contact us directly for assistance.  From an alternate phone, please call 1-800-922-0204, option 0 for assistance.

  • IPhoto 11 (9.2.1) can't use iCloud Mail smtp server for email.

iPhoto 11 (9.2.1) can't use iCloud Mail smtp server for email.  "The email server didn't recognise username/password combination".  Both appear correct in preferences/accounts.  Mail sends and receives messages perfectly.
(This problem also occurs when trying to send from Thunderbird, however both iPhoto and Thunderbird can send perfectly well using the Gmail server).

    Hi there
I should explain that I have 5 days experience of the iMac but have had a working iCloud account with my iPad for several months.  I don't think this is an iCloud issue as such. My thought is that this is something to do with the Mail application itself and its relationship to my Apple ID etc. (Perhaps when the iMac first configured itself?)
I have deleted and manually reset both Mail and iPhone account settings for iCloud using the Apple recommended settings and I have tentatively checked that the username/password combination is as expected in Keychain but I'm too much of an Apple novice to go any further with that.
On a PC I think I would try reinstalling the Mail programme but I don't see that as an option.

  • HT1277 why i cannot set up my exchange account into my iphone 4s.  everything that needs to input has been provided right, but error says cannot get email not connected to the srver.where seems to be the problem?pls help.btw,i have an outlook for macbook

please help me find out the solution to the problem.
My iphone 4S was not able to fetch mails from the server ( outgoing and incoming)
I was trying to configure my exchange account and follow all the procedures correctly but am having trouble in sending and receiving mails as the error says " cant get mails cannot connect to the server?  where seems to be the problem?
Have read from the support services that if you using a Pop3 account into another device which I did ( my email was configured via outlook for mac in my macbook) there might be a lock out problem and cannot get emails on the second device which is my iphone?  ( I want to set up my exchange account to my iphone so wherever and whenever i go i cant still access to my email easily. Please help.

No one seems to be hearing what Big Q is saying.
He can pair his iPhone to his Macbook, but cannot CONNECT. He's NOT asking for alternative solutions, like Wi Fi.
I am able to both pair and connect my one one Macbook to my other one, but I can only pair but not connect my iPhone or iPad to either Macbook. So I have the same problem. But I can pair and connect my Macbooks to other Bluetooth devices, like my ancient Nokia cellfone, or my Bluetooth HP printer.
It's irrelavent that I can instead use a direct USB cable or Wi Fi between my Macbooks and my iPhone/iPad - why can't I use Bluetooth? If Apple does not allow Bluetooth between it's Macbooks and other Mac devices, then why have Bluetooth at all? Does my iPhone have Bluetooth only so that I can pair and connect to my my non Apple mobile handsfree car kit, or communicate easily with the dreaded Apple enemy Samsung, or what?
Make no mistake , I am a diehard Apple fan, but this Bluetooth non compatibility issue appears shortsighted and seemingly pointless. Why does Apple not just say why they created the non compatibility, or have a message on the Bluetooth setup programme which simply and clearly says "don't bother wasting hours of your time trying to pair and connect your iPhone to your Macbook, because we don't allow that anymore, reason being that............"?
As a first time user of this Forum I am surprised at the intolerant and highhanded tone of some of the replies  to what is a legitimate question, that is obviously plagueing many, many other Apple users.

  • Lync 2011 for MAC not connecting externally to On-Premise Lync 2013

    Hello,
Hopefully someone has some idea on this or a better direction for me to follow. So currently I have an issue where Lync 2011 for MAC clients will not connect when external to my On-Premise Lync 2013 servers. Everything to do with my Windows based clients
and even cell phone based client’s works just fine. It is currently only Lync 2011 for MAC which will not correct externally.
I did initially have the logon problem internally as noted by other posts online when using an internal CA certificate with Lync. But with the internal certificate imported onto the MAC when internally connected Lync 2011 will login just fine. Now in my
setup I do have a TMG server that clients are connecting to that forwards the connections onto my Lync servers when connecting externally. When I review live real time logs to see what’s connecting to the external URL for Windows based clients I can see them
connect in on port 443 no problem.
But with the MAC I don’t see any attempt from it to connect to the URL like I see with the Windows clients. Now below is what shows up in the Microsoft-Lync.log generated by the MAC. Now initially looking at the log I thought my problem was the fact when
Lync 2011 tires to connect when external that it was doing so on port 5061 which we don’t have open. So I tired entering external.mydomain.com:443 in for my external server in the setup.
And while rechecking the log after doing so shows like it is now trying to connect on port 443. When reviewing TMG I again see no connection attempt by the MAC to connect to the Lync external url or on port 443. Further research so far into the problem has
come up empty on the subject. And most other cases where people report problems connecting externally they are using some form of online service like Office 365. So at this point I am not even sure if Lync 2011 for MAC is supposed to work externally with On-Premise
Lync 2013 deployments or not. If anyone has an thought’s or idea’s please share them as at this point I am stuck on this issue.

    Hi Nicholas Sayewich,
I tested in my lab and without any problem.
I also use TMG as Reverse Proxy and without configuring SRV records (My ISP don’t support SRV), after importing the root certificate onto MacBook, I can sign into Lync everywhere(internal
    and external).
Please make sure that the certificate is set up to
    Always Trust .

  • Email not connecting

I have been away travelling for a few days and three days ago, my iPad (iOS 8.2) failed to connect to my two email providers.
Now I am home, and although the device indicates 'connected' (and I can get my emails on my home PC using the same ISP),
I cannot get any emails from
the two providers on my iPad. I guess (?) I must have changed a setting somewhere.
I have tried rebooting the device, without success.  Any suggestion
    where I should start, please?
iPad shows the wifi logo in top left of screen.
I have a gmail app which fails to download emails.
I also have two email accounts  via the Apple 'Mail' app. neither of these will download either - if I attempt to 'send' an email
it stays in the outbox and is not sent.
Chrome will connect to the internet.
Safari will NOT connect to the internet
    BBC IPlayer will not connect
    FaceTime will not connect

    Hey auragal,
    Welcome to the discussions board!
I would recommend to uninstall your email accounts from your device, then perform a "Soft reset" which will delete your mailbox settings, then reinstall your mailbox and try to sync again.
To perform the reset just type *#7780# (security code 12345) on your keyboard, this action will not delete anything except your email settings.
Also have a look to this post from haZey as it might help you!
    Hope this helps!

  • Administration server error: could not connect to server

I was just viewing some outlines and calc scripts. I got un error trying to close a clac script. It said unable to unlock and then closes EAS. I tried to log back in and I am getting a could not connect error. How do I fix this or do I just recycle the server

A little less drastic is to restart the EAS service. I've had an occasion or two where the service just up and stopped for no apparent reason, leaving me hanging with several hours of work to be redone in an outline... <sigh>
Anyway, restarting the EAS service may be all that you needed to do, it may have aborted or hung itself.
Edit: clearer to say service here rather than server.

  • Server stating client not connected even though it is on

We often have trouble where the server will state the computer is not connected even though it is on. Sometimes restarting the local service will cause the server to see it connected again. Most time we need to reboot the machine altogether.
Is there a way to force the server to recheck if the computer is connected. A command on the server or the remote pc?

What setting do you have for how often the Collection Client checks in? Default is 180min and that time differential could be your gap for when it updates status.
    Just a thought.

  • Server Monitor is not connecting to Server but Server Admin does

I have a Leopard Server up and running. Also the internal network is setup correctly (changeip -checkhostname). Now I want to monitor that server from a Mac OS X Leopard laptop with the Server Monitor tool. So I installed the Administration Tools on the laptop.
Now I can administer and manage the workgroups but I CANNOT monitor it with the Server Monitor. I setup the server with its IP address and the same user name I use to connect using the Server Admin. The log just states *Failed to contact the server*. Again I work with the Server Admin and Workgroup Manager on that server without any issues but the Server Monitor does not work and it even *does not work locally* on the server itself.
    Any pointers?
    Thanks - Andy

He's right, it doesn't work on anything other than an xserve-
what are you running leopard server on?
if it IS an xserve, this was my problem.
I had my ethernet coming in on EN3- a PCIx card.
Guess what? Server monitor doesn't talk to anything other than EN0 or EN1 out of the box.
You SHOULD however be able to view the xserve itself- using 127.0.0.1 (worked for mine)
This kbase article put me in the right direction-- specifically the IPMITool
to conifigure lights out management(you HAVE to use it if you're using anything other than EN0 or EN1)

  • Itunes could not contact iPod update server ...not connected to internet

Please help. I have: Win XP Pro, SP2; itunes 7.0.1.8. iPod ver. 1.1 5G Video iPod. Am getting error: "itunes could not contact the iPod update server because you are not connected to the Internet."
But I am connected to the internet, and can download podcasts and access itunes store. But I cannot download ipod ver. 1.2, and thus I assume this is the reason that I am getting incomplete syncs on video podcasts.
I have followed the Apple site's recommendation to ensure the LAN settings button is set to "Automatically Detect Settings" but I still get the error.
I have uninstalled itunes and reinstalled it again; still getting error. I have disabled my firewall; still no luck.
I welcome any help, please!! Thanks.

I have been trying for 3 hours to make this work -- I've checked the box and tried; unchecked the box; rechecked, rebooted and tried ... you get the picture.
    hmmmm.
by any chance, are you using a proxy? in the context of Store connections, i've seen a problem with a proxy cause a connection issue, even though the network diagnostics looked perfectly clean.
working on that theory, if you are using a proxy perhaps try the techniques from this document:
iTunes for Windows can't access the Internet if proxy settings are incorrect
or perhaps just try to see if the connection to the update server goes through if you if you try this without the proxy.

  • Air for android - not connecting to lccs

I created an as3 swf that connects to lccs. It works well. I'm using the 10.1 swc. I used the same code in Air for Android cs5 file. It doesn't give any errors but it will not connect to the lccs server. I put an event listener on and it gives an error "INVALID_INSTANCE:invalid_instance". Now that would leave me to believe my roomURL is not correct but it surely is. And the room connects successfully when in an as3 swf.
Does the Air for Android cs5 strip out things or something? The error event listener worked on the android phone but it didn't connect. Anyone know why the android version wouldn't connect?

Sample Code on how to use debug trace that Raff was mentioning
In your codes applicationComplete or creationComplete event, please add this line
    DebugUtil.traceFunction = traceMessage;
    DebugUtil.suppressDebugTraces = true;
    and add this funtion
    private function traceMessage(message:String):void {
           TEXTAREA OR LOGGER .text += message + "\n";
    Thanks
