Server is encountering an error when I try to publish

I am trying to publish a small (82 MB) and a medium size (320 MB) album from iPhoto, either as a Web Gallery or iWeb page, and in each case, after doing the thumbnails, I wind up with an error message saying the there was an error with the server rejecting my file, and that I should check my internet connection. I am not sure what is wrong, but I think my internet connection, which is cable broadband, is fine.
Both iPhoto albums contain a combination of photos, as well as a few AVI movie files.
I am using iPhoto 7.1.3, and iWeb '08 2.0.3, from my MacBook Pro. I am a .mac member.
I am not quite sure what the difference is between iWeb pages and a Web Gallery.

I was able to solve this problem a different way, not being able to solve it with the above solutions. I was able to resolve it not by changing the settings to my Airport (router), but rather by going into System Preferences on all my computers that were logged into my .mac account. I went under .mac in System Preferences, logged myself out on the "account" tab of .mac in system preferences. After all of my computers were logged off, then I logged back in and things worked fine and i was able to post web galleries and iweb pages again. I also went to a different computer that was still working and uploaded a quick photo to the web gallery, hoping this would override the lock my other computer had on loading things to iweb and iphoto.
It seemed as if just the one computer got locked up trying to upload content, making it so I couldn't upload anything new until "unlocking it". So if i went to another computer, I could upload before the fix, it was just annoying I couldn't do it from my Macbook Pro. One thing I did as well as delete all of the sites I had by going to idisk on my finder and deleting the items under "sites" folder under "Web" on idisk's root. I'm not sure if this was necessary to the solution as I initially did this, it didn't resolve the problem so I did the"logging out" thing and either that fixed it or the combination did it.

  • I am getting an error when I try to publish that says "Can't create the file "Mod_footer_bg.jpg."  How do I fix this?

I was previously getting the droppedimage.png error, but I deleted all of my PNG's and I looked up how to fix that one.  The problem is that now I am getting a "Mod_footer_bg.jpg" error when I attempt to publish my site (both the the FTP Server as well as to a local folder).  I checked out the HTML using cyberduck, and I see that the Mod_footer_bg.jpg's are the footers of each of my pages.  I went through all of my pages and made the "footer height" zero.  This did not work, so what do I need to do to fix this?  Thanks!

I can offer a shotgun effect fix but don't know if any a definite fix for this. Try the following:
    close iWeb.
delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder.
go to your Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.
    reboot.
    launch iWeb and try again.
If that doesn't help continue with:
move the domain file from your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to the Desktop.
launch iWeb, create a new test site, save the new domain file and close iWeb.
go to the your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and delete the new domain file.
move your original domain file from the Desktop to the iWeb folder.
    launch iWeb and try again.

  • I get this error when I try to publish my cloud service application from Visual studio.

Error: Network_not_available: The network is down so authentication cannot proceed.
This happens when I want to sign in with my azure subscription.
Note: I have a valid azure account

    hi,
Could you login on azure portal (https://manage.windowsazure.com) using your username and password? From the error message, please make sure your VS could connect the internet firstly.
Secondly, Which version of VS did you use? I suggest you could open "Server Explore" tab from VS and expand the Azure node to check you whether connect to azure.
Thirdly, you could download your azure subscription file and import to VS (http://blogs.msdn.com/b/avkashchauhan/archive/2012/05/10/downloading-windows-azure-publish-settings-subscription-configuration-file.aspx
    Please try it.
Any result, please let me know.

  • I keep getting a Validation Error when I try to publish my site

I continually update my site and every time I've done it before I just click Publish and it updates all the changes I've made; but now when I click publish it tries to log in to sign in to Business Catalyst for a bit and then I get a Validation Error that says "Access using your AdobeID has timed out. Check your network connection and try again." My network connection is fine and I can log in using my AdobeID no problem so I have no idea why it's not working.

    Hello,
    Please try the following steps:-
1)Sign out of muse using Help-->Sign out.
    2)Close all the adobe apps.
3)Sign out of CC app by expanding the top right gear like symbol-->Preferences-->Account-->Sign Out.
4)Sign in back to CC app.
5)Launch muse and try publishing again.

I keep receiving this error every time I open LR, "Lightroom encountered and error when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit" and the app won't open. It said LR would try and fix this error next time I opened it but the error remains. I tried uninstalled and installing the app and the error remains. I have windows 8. Can anyone please help???

Use Windows Explorer to open the folder containing your catalog. The normal location is Pictures\Lightroom. Locate a folder with the extension .lrdata and delete that folder. Then you should be able to start Lightroom again, and Lightroom will begin building and new previews folder. Do not delete anything else.

Can you load a webpage in Safari with that wifi connection? If so then it's a problem with the iTunes Store app connection. If not then your wifi isn't fully functional and you need to troubleshoot that first.

Yes i am hoping staff here will look into things, even if i can not get the speeds back what i previously had for near 6 months it would be nice to know why i can not and why the download has dropped by around 10Mb and why my upload is now inconsistant.
Ironically the post concerned got edited because i actually posted the full rather silly reply the Indian call centre made babbling on about down rates rather than the uprate i queried with them.
Bit of a shambles really no real way on BTs web site to contact anyone with regards to broadband issues.
The form which you kindly suggested and i appreciated your help ended up in the hands of someone who either did not bother to read the query or just had such a poor grasp of English they did not understand the query.
Pretty pathetic really when BT are the largest telco in the UK. I think ill be taking my broadband business elsewhere regardless at the end of my 18 month contract, while im sure staff here are wonderful and may even yet help me, i do not particularly want to go through the almost like pulling teeth pain of getting any future issue looked at.
They are great at quickly fixing voice line problems and have a great test on their site. Broadband side of things and support for that though seems a shambles.
